Our 19th-Century building was designed by Italian architect and urban planner, Giuseppe Valadier, who created the impressive elliptical plan of Piazza del Popolo, connecting it via stairs and terraces to the Pincio and to the Borghese Gardens.

Suite life doesn’t get any sweeter. Facing the courtyard, the Suite Dolce offers a tranquil, relaxing stay in the heart of Rome. Wooden panels and libraries with a selection of books make for a residential ambience.

A luxurious bathroom clad in Italian Saint Laurent marble is the cherry on the cake, complete with walk-in rain shower and/or bathtub. Some Dolce Suites can interconnect to create the perfect living space for families.

Spacious and inviting, these bright suites open to iconic views of the vibrant street life of Via del Corso or the charming rooftops of Rome.

These suites feature wooden panels, a bedroom with comfortable sitting area, headboard libraries with a selection of books and a separate living room with desk, design armchairs and sofa.

The sculpture itself is a triumphant example of baroque art with its soft, natural lines and fantasy creatures masterfully brought to life. The Jewish Ghetto or Roman Ghetto, established in 1555, is one of the oldest and most authentic neighbourhoods in Rome. This small neighbourhood, surrounded by the Tiber on one side and Venice Square on the other, is not only rich in culture and religion, but offers a culinary experience not to be missed.

A fascinating journey between past and present, highlights include the synagogue and Jewish museum, stumbling upon cultural treasures and Kosher traditions, and simply soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of its many shops and restaurants.

THE ARTIST WORKSHOP
If you love the artworks at The First Roma, you won’t want to miss a visit to the extraordinary Pastificio Cerere.

This former century old pasta factory is now home to art galleries, photography schools, graphic studios and workshops of notable contemporary artists, including Piero Pizzi Cannella, Leonardo Petrucci, Oliviero Rainaldi and Maurizio Savini, whose works are currently exhibited at the hotel.

An experienced guide leads you through the former factory, which became a vibrant artistic centre back in the 1980s. See the creative process in action and immerse yourself in the cultural vibe of this unique artistic space.

The building is also home to the famous Pastificio San Lorenzo, where you can sip a glass of wine and enjoy culinary delights. The journey ends with a trip down memory lane at the former chocolate factory, SAID, where you can delight in the endless cocoa flavours of your childhood.

QUARTIERE COPPEDÈ
One of our favourite sites to visit in the eternal city is inside the enchanted land of Quartiere Coppedè. Built between 1915 and 1927 in the heart of Rome, Quartiere Coppedè is where fantasy and eclecticism are the only architectural rules.

This magical, timeless place is the work of famous architect Gino Coppedè. His creative use of myriad architectural styles, from liberty, gothic and baroque to medieval and Greek, gave birth to this dream-like place of fairy tale homes.

BREAKFAST AT THE VATICAN
When the first rays of sunshine touch the Roman city, we will be heading on our way to the famous Vatican. Once arrived at the Belvedere Courtyard, we start this day enjoying a tasty American breakfast while taking in the peaceful views of an Italian morning as the city awakens to a new day.

Then, we will continue our journey walking across St. Peter’s Square. We explore the impressive Vatican Art Galleries – without the crowds. One of the highlights of this tour includes seeing the incredible masterpiece of Michelangelo: The Sistine Chapel painted during 1508 – 1512. Duration: 3 hours

SECRET VATICAN
Do you want to know about the deepest secrets of ancient Rome? During this tour, we will explore the hidden areas of Vatican City. As soon as the visitors have left, we are exposed to places usually closed to the public.

During this tour, you can choose between two of the five most fascinating underground spots of Rome. Discover a whole new city while wandering around historical layers of the “giant lasagna”.

Walk past catacombs, basilica, a Roman prison, and frescoes made 2.000 years ago. We will see parts of Rome only a few visitors got to see. All hidden deep beneath the Roman streets. Duration: 1,5 – 2,5 hours

ANCIENT ROME
Ready to set foot in the world’s largest amphitheater? Ready to have your mind blown? During this tour, we will bring you roughly 2.000 years back. To a time of gladiators fighting in the Colosseum while 50.000 Romans were watching.

Believe it or not, even mock sea battles were fought inside this arena. The view of the Colosseum is overwhelming, but that is not all. During the tour, we will also take you to the underground areas of the amphitheater.

Inside these underground passages and rooms, gladiators and animals waited before they met their fate in the arena. After our visit to the Colosseum, we go further back in time. We go roughly 3000 years back in time, to the heart of Ancient Rome, also known as The Roman Forum.

We will take a look into the once glorious and great Roman Empire, by walking across Rome’s ancient main square and visiting Caesar’s Palace. Duration: 3 hours

TIVOLI VILLAS
During this tour we will discover the surroundings of Rome. Join us and take a step into the Ancient classical world. Explore the wonders of the once rich and famous ruler’s palace. We will start our day by taking our private car to Tivoli (about 1 hour).

As the car winds along the foothills of the Appennine Mountains, we will tell you all big and small stories about this beautiful area. Then, we will arrive at Hadrian’s Villa. This villa displays the lavishness and tremendous power of Ancient Rome.

The extensive gardens, swimming pool and of course the impressive ancient building were a statement of power and wealth. After our lunch, we will take you to Villa d’Este, known for being a symbol of Italian Renaissance.

The many fountains and artworks to be admired embody the splendor of the Roman Imperium. Duration: 6 – 7 hours
