MacArthur Place Hotel and Spa is an enclave of luxury accommodations situated in Sonoma, CA. It’s only 45 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, 25-30 minutes from the Santa Rosa area, and approximately 1½ hours from the San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento airports.

The Porch features paninis, organic soft serve ice cream, and a variety of easy grab-and-go options in a relaxed, Sonoma farmhouse inspired setting that includes original screen-printed ceramic tiles from Artist Marianne Smink of Smink Thing Studio.
The Spa At MacArthur
Nestled in the heart of MacArthur Place’s fragrant gardens, The Spa at MacArthur offers a unique array of treatments based on the fruits, flowers and herbs grown in the property’s gardens and neighboring vineyards.
With seven serene indoor treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, co-ed steam room, apothecary-style retail shop as well as a fitness studio with Peloton bikes and TRX System, guests have many different opportunities to calm the mind and reinvigorate the body.
The Pool
Situated amidst the property’s verdant gardens and stately trees is a stylish mid-century pool. Enjoy a refreshing swim, or soak up the sunshine poolside with a handcrafted cocktail in hand.
In season, we offer poolside dining service with offerings from The Bar and Layla, as well as local rosé, beer and craveable snacks from our poolside refreshment bar.
The Fitness Center
Adjacent to The Spa at MacArthur is a fully-equipped fitness center for an intensive and effective workout, or a restorative post-spa stretch. Recently upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment, our fitness studio is more than just a hotel gym. Amenities include:

Morning Yoga
Join one of our certified yoga instructors – Jes Williams, Andrea Bogart and others – for an energizing vinyasa practice to kick-start your morning and inspire you to move through the rest of your day with intention and ease.
This class unites body and breath with clear instruction and modifications for all levels. Students will leave feeling refreshed and ready for a day in wine country! This yoga class is offered every Saturday and Sunday.
The class is complimentary for hotel guests, and $10 for Sonoma locals, and will be held outdoors on the property’s West Lawn (in the case of a conflicting event, class will be held in Coach House). Yoga mats and waters will be provided for hotel guests.
We also offer an online series of 45-minute flows with Andrea Bogart that you can enjoy from the privacy of your guestroom, or from the property gardens.
Personal Training
Kick-start or wind-down your day in Sonoma with an invigorating and heart-pumping one-hour personal training session with certified fitness trainer, Robin Dunbar. With over seven years’ experience, Robin will deliver a customized workout that fits your goals.
Robin trains Barre techniques, Boot Camps, HITT formats, Strength and Core Conditioning using free weights, bosu, kettlebells, loop bands, resistance bands and more. Robin will come to your guestroom patio or a pre-arranged setting on MacArthur’s grounds for your private training experience.

Accommodations
MacArthur Place can accommodate events of up to 100 guests, depending on the venue, for rehearsal dinners and wedding brunches and 80 for wedding ceremonies.
Parking
Complimentary valet parking on-site is limited, so we encourage event guests to use the ample street parking adjacent to the hotel. Your events manager will coordinate parking details with you prior to your event.
Rentals
Our events team will coordinate rentals of specialty items not in our on-site inventory, such as specialty linens, glassware or chairs. Rental costs will be billed accordingly to the wedding party.

Ideal for team meetings, executive retreats, and off-site gatherings, we offer a variety of meeting space options ranging from 5,400 square feet of contemporary indoor meeting space to outdoor space in our beautifully landscaped, historic gardens.
Our newly designed “Coach House” features three elegant and well-appointed salons that can be combined for 2,305 square feet of versatile gathering space, ideal for a 150 guest banquet or 100 person conference.
At the heart of the property sits our lovingly-restored 150-year-old barn, which houses two additional meeting spaces as well as our new Mediterranean-style restaurant, Layla.
In addition to modern indoor and verdant outdoor meeting spaces across our five-acre property, we’ve designed a suite of mindful offerings — including yoga, kombucha-making, tea tasting and team-building — to support sensory awakening, personal connection and, of course, productivity.
