At the heart of their exceptional 500-ha (1235-acre) estate, realm of Camargue bulls and horses, the Mas de Peint Hotel & Restaurant, and the Manade Jacques Bon (Ranch) propose a diversified offer for individuals or groups to experience unique adventures and events.

Different exceptional sites to organize leisure stays, relaxation days, gala evenings, conventions, seminars, congresses, incentive activities, weddings, Camargue days, unusual lodgings in a campground Lodge.

This house has been inhabited for several generations by the BON family, ranchers from father to son. Jacques BON, a rancher to the bottom of his soul, who, with the help of his wife, Lucille, an architect, restored the farmhouse to transform it into a charming hotel, simple and warm.

The 8 rooms and 7 junior suites allying big comfort and character are at the same time modern and refined. Today, Frederic BON passionately continues the work of his parents. Come live with us and share our Camargue universe : Ride beside the « gardians » (cow herds) through the wide-open spaces, taste our fresh healthy food from our vegetable garden, bull steak and rice from our estate.

FAMILY SUITE
A 42 m² independent suite with:

• On the ground level beside the garden: a living room with fireplace, two single beds, separate shower and toilets, terrace.
• Upstairs: bedroom with large Queen-Size bed, separate bathroom, and toilets. Free crib on request.

JUNIOR SUITE
Maxi-King-Size bed or twin beds Junior suite with independent entrance, a large Maxi-King-Size bed or twin beds, 35 to 46 m², with bathroom and separate shower, sofa and private terrace. Some rooms with a fireplace. One of our junior suites has been specially designed for persons of reduced mobility. Some suites fit up to two extra beds. Free crib on request.

ELEGANCE ROOM
A double room under the eaves with wooden ceiling beams and a large Maxi-King-Size bed or twin beds, from 32 to 40 m², with, in some cases, a private bathroom on the mezzanine. There is space for an extra bed. Free crib available on request.

DINING

• The kitchen/dining room : an authentic place where you will feel at home.
• The terrace : curtains, candles, intoxicating smells, a romantic atmosphere in the middle of nature…open in spring.
• The pool : your summer lunches in a wild setting of both flowers and greenery. Opening from the end of June to the beginning of September.

Warm, attentive and discreet, Elisabeth will put all her savoir-faire at your service to help you enjoy an authentic moment of relaxation and conviviality. Attached to the Bon family and the Camargue, she was born on the estate and grew up along with the Mas de Peint, which has no secrets for her.

FROM FARM TO TABLE
We’re serving fresh, generous and sincere dishes with the look and taste of the Camargue by selecting carefully products coming exclusively from our farm and local growers comitted to sustainable agriculture. Bull meat and rice from the Mas, Camargue olive oil out of our production and of course fruits and vegetables from our garden guide our inspiration by the rhythm of seasons.

Additional to our from farm to fork products, we add lamb from « La Crau », poultry from « Les Alpilles », « Gallician » pork from our friend Stéphane as well as daily fresh mediterranean fish.

Vegetal and vegetables are highlighted in original and innovating dishes to delight the most sophisticated taste buds. Let us also not forget that our consumption should be reasoned and sustainable in order to support healthy and viable farming and in this way to take care of our planet.

TRADITIONAL CAMARGUE ACTIVITIES
The Camargue, listed as a regional nature reserve, is a unique space where nature and traditions meet. It is a territory with a rich cultural identity, maintained and defended from generation to generation. In the 19th century, when the Marquis of Baroncelli « reinvented » the Camargue culture and traditions, tourism started to develop.

Today Frédéric Bon and his “gardians” (cowherds), fervent caretakers of their Camargue identity, are still just as enthusiastic and happy to share their daily life on the farm. Branding, bull games, pasture visits, sorting of bulls… you will be part of the Camargue universe during this unforgettable experience !

Off the beaten track, we will help you get together, create moments of exchange and sharing during recreational and sports activities. Horseback riding, 4×4 safaris, mountain-bike excursions with a nature guide, quad… discover the Camargue nature park on trails where man seldom treads.

ACTIVITIES ON THE ESTATE
Accompanied by our guide, you will ride over our 500 hectares (1235 acres) of land, divided between rice paddies and pastures. Our famous white horses will go with you for this ride off the beaten track which will take you close to our Camargue bulls.

If you are a good rider, you will be able to live an exceptional experience along with our “gardians”. You can participate in the sorting of the bulls with our “cow-boys” who will be happy to share their work and passion with you.

Our guide, a native of the region, will reveal to you all the secrets of our wild and secret Camargue. For birdwatchers, our bird guide will share his passion with you at the heart of a preserved environment, home to 350 species of sedentary or migratory birds.

REGIONAL NATURE PARK LABEL
The Mas de Peint and the Manade Jacques Bon adhere to the label « Valeurs Parc Naturel Régional » listed on the CETD (European Charter of Sustainable Tourism), one of the first commitments for an eco-responsible implication in tourism. The role of the Regional Nature Park is, in particular, to preserve and develop our Camargue natural and cultural heritage.

This territorial project maintains the heritage received from generations of Camargue inhabitants, while at the same time adapting it to contemporary problems. It is helping to elaborate a transposable model, able to demonstrate that sustainable management is compatible with economic and social progress.

AT THE MANADE JACQUES BON 
On our farm, the Camargue bulls and horses live in semi-liberty all year round and eat mainly what the land has to offer. The cow-herds still work daily on horseback to move the cattle. The bulls are raised for the “cocarde” games, a game where the participants try to grab a ribbon and strings attached to the horns of the bull.

In their daily activities, the Bon family and their team of helpers are aware of the necessity of respecting the environment and managing resources, with a vegetable garden producing seasonal produce, the patronizing of local craftsmen and producers, the use of an electric vehicle on our property, waste sorting and recycling. These values have become a philosophy for all of us.

AT THE MAS DU PEINT
This year six rooms at the Mas du Peint were redone for even more comfort and elegance. The Bon family has once again called on Brun de Vian-Tiran, a French woolen manufacturer in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue since 1808, for the carpets and blankets, made of natural fibers, thus prolonging twenty years of collaboration thanks to Mr. Gutapfel, a wool merchant in Carpentras.

We have more projects for the future : installation of solar panels to produce our own energy, composting, and the loan of an electric vehicle for our Mas de Peint clients.

THE FARM
“We have been farming this estate for three generations, and our agriculture and our business have been constantly changing over the years. Yes, we want a more healthy, logical and sensible farm. Thus we practice constant crop rotation on all our pieces of land used for crops and pastures. We produce rice, wheat and alfalfa, which we rotate with pasture land to create a good balance and a correct place for each of these elements in the nature surrounding us.

These rotations are needed to preserve and regenerate our soil, leaving our agricultural land cleaner and richer in organic matter, which allows us to produce cereal grains, grass and fodder healthier for you, for us and for our animals.”
