Immersed in the silence of the open countryside, Ottolire’s guests let themselves be carried away by the atmosphere of this place and discover the sensation of living among the characteristic dwellings of the Itria Valley, trulli and cummerse, made of local stone according to the ancient techniques handed down by skilled craftsmen.

The rooms are equipped with all amenities and attention to detail. The design furnishings, including iron and antique fabrics, reflect the typical materials of the place, in a completely modern version. Every day the chef offers genuine and refined dishes, prepared with vegetables from our organic garden and with the highest quality products.

Our Trullo SPA, Trullo SPA, complete with a hot tub, a Turkish bath and a sensory shower, is the ideal place to give our guests an intimate experience of relaxation and intense well-being.
In a luxuriant private woods, made of oaks and Mediterranean plants, our guests have the chance to take part in activities such as yoga, pilates, meditation and much more.

Ottolire is located in the heart of the green hills of Itria Valley in Puglia, a region of South Italy warmed by the sun and bathed by crystal clear sea, in a fairy-tale landscape made up of immense expanses of ancient olive groves and small plots of land cultivated with vineyards, delimited by the characteristic dry stone walls, recently declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

THE HISTORY
In 1973, Michele nicknamed Ottolire and Vita, freshly married and just over eighteen, were fascinated by a group of ruined trulli and bought them. Through much work and sacrifice, they brought them back to life, putting into practice the teachings of their grandfather and great- grandfather, both involved in the construction of trulli and dry stone walls.

Their children, Erasmo and Antonella, grew up there. Forty-five years later, Erasmo and Antonella, along with Anastasia and Angelo, have once again brought this magical place back to life, turning it into an evocative resort, to share the smells of spring, the sounds of summer, the colours of autumn and the silence of winter, in a way that only at Ottolire can happen.

EXECUTIVE
Suite arranged in high cummerse with exposed stone. It has been designed to accommodate guests in a refined atmosphere. The tones of the furnishings, between iron and ancient fabrics, reflect the typical materials of this place in a completely modern version.

The Executive Suite is equipped with a loft that offers the possibility to create a new atmosphere where you can stop to read a book by the wide and bright windows; the private balcony and terrace allows a view on the green and land of Itria, as far as the eye can see.

EXECUTIVE TRULLO
Double bedroom with exponed stone is a double bedroom with a unique and exclusive atmosphere. Outside, the private courtyard with an exclusive hot tube makes this room the place where to be cuddled.

DELUXE
Two-room apartment with a spacious living area, bathroom and double bedroom. This room type can easly house up to 4 people. The particular furnishings with bright colors and design ensure a comfortable stay.

DINING
Our cuisine starts from the typical Apulian culinary tradition and elevates it, enriching it with influences from the best European cuisines, carefully mixing sustainability, quality and seasonality of products.

Our chef Vincenzo Digiuseppe lives in symbiosis with Ottolire’s land, as he personally takes care of our vegetable garden and collects always fresh seasonal products. In his kitchen-laboratory he creates dishes that lead to the discovery of a new culture, respecting tradition.

Eating here is a real experience, that involves all the five senses and always starts with the smell of fresh and fragrant bread, like when, on Sundays, Apulian families gather at the table to celebrate life.

Dinner, with an à la carte menu, is served in the indoor or outdoor dining room. Ottolire regularly organizes themed evenings, including convivial dinners, poolside barbeques and typical Apulian dinners.

THE BREAKFAST
Abundant buffet breakfast included in the price of the room, served in the indoor or outdoor dining room every day. Gluten-free and lactose-free products are available on request.

COOKING CLASS

THE SPA

COCCOLA IN PUGLIA
Fluid, undulating and relaxing massage, that involves the whole body in an enveloping embrace, which goes from head to toe and brings the body back in connection with the essence of lavender, immersed in a soft blue light.
