We have been running the hotel business in Livigno for over forty years, a beautiful alpine village 2.000 meters above sea level, a place where the mountain proudly expresses itself in its most authentic and deepest dimensions mirrored through the warmth of its people. A few words about the name itself:

• “PARK”, because on ten thousand square meters of land, trees and squirrels are really present and is surrounded by one of the most charming wood in the whole Livigno area;
• “CHALET”, because our cottages are really small and made entirely of wood;
• “VILLAGE”, because our twenty-two chalets plus the central “GRAND CHALET”, all together form a real small village.

We looked back to the spirit of our own culture in search of old emotions, old feelings may be forgotten and we tried to put together a more genuine hospitality based on:

• High quality breakfast buffet with regional and seasonal products that will provide you with the necessary energy for a swinging morning. At the early hour you can enjoy the magnificent view over the Livigno Valley and its dreamlike landscape and start the day with a good Italian coffee or a hot tea. Our goal is to combine intelligent luxury with high quality breakfast and moments of wellness and pure relaxation in harmony with nature.

We strongly believe that in a hyper technological world an intelligent touristic approach is given by the possibility to fully enjoy all modern comforts but without neglecting some emotions, some sensations so human that only a respectfulview towards the past can prevent us from forgetting them.

Why spending a holiday in our wooden chalets? Three basic reasons:

• Wood: a wooden home has the same logical functions as skin: an ongoing exchange with the surrounding atmosphere, where heat is absorbed and cold is excluded, allowing the transpiration of excessive humidity; from this, that incredible feeling of well-being all around us…
• Nature: all the chalets are south-facing in order to guarantee maximum exposure to sunlight in every season; a trunk wall and just two metres away: grass, snow, trees… with their scents, sounds, silence. and then, the ‘Little Tibet’ seen from our chalets, it is even more beautiful!
• Emotions: created from rediscovering and savouring once again the atmosphere of days gone by, a long time ago, when the mountain was really “enchanted”…

The Suite Chalet Imperial is located in the upper part of the Grand Chalet and has an outstanding view of the Livigno Valley; a very intimate and cozy Suite Chalet for a romantic and unforgettable experience.

Home Wellness: each chalet has a small private spa with Jacuzzi whirlpool, Finnish Sauna, emotional shower with chromotherapy and a relaxing sitting room with pellet stove.

22 Finnish Tylo Sauna, 22 Jacuzzi whirlpools, 22 showers with chromotherapy, 22 Palazzetti pellet stoves, 22 small relaxing areas with soft sofas and relaxing New Age music in the 22 chalets; wouldn’t it have been better and simpler, just a few common areas?

We started from basics: even considering the different ways through which a person can experience deep moments of relaxation, a condition seems essential: to have personal and own space …, in short “private”. It is this dimension of “privacy” the “conditio sine qua non” to take off one’s own clothes, and even more difficult, those that frequently oppress our soul.

The jewel of the Park Chalet Village: inside each chalet a small personal spa available 24 hours a day, with a Jacuzzi, Finnish Tylo sauna, emotional shower, chromotherapy, background music and bathroom with hairdryer.

The hydro-massage does not require any presentation; we have placed ourselves in the hands of the world leader in the sector: the Jacuzzi is in fact synonymous with hydro-massage. The Home Wellness centre is equipped with the “Air” model, the tonifying soul of the Jacuzzi hydromassage; a spring of small bubbles which caress one’s body, giving energy and vitality.

The choice of the sauna was not just casual; the Tylo sauna indeed is produced in Finland, the native country of this treatment. The company exports to more than 80 countries all over the world.

The sauna with all its traditions is deeply rooted in our hearts: the pleasant heat, a ladle of water which every so often is poured on to the heated crackling stones, the sensation evoked by the waves of heat which intensely massage the skin relaxing the muscles, the body acquires softness and flexibility and total relaxation takes over all the senses.

And then, to conclude, a refreshing emotional shower and the indescribable sensation which is created afterwards: one feels renewed both in body and soul.

In the Home Wellness centre, the atmosphere is “intriguing” thanks to the colours of the chromotherapy, a combination of seven colours, which helps your body and psyche to rediscover its natural balance.

Next to the Home Wellness centre an intimate small tavern with a stove and a sofa await you for moments of relaxation: a pleasant interlude between a sauna and a hydro-massage, exalted by relaxing background music and aromatherapy.

The music offered originates from the specific intention to reawaken peaceful emotions, in order that the simple listening becomes a true real emotional treatment.

Unique in its kind, it is a journey into past, present and future time, to live one’s own dreams and savour fantastic emotions, a mix of musical vibrations and harmonies chosen in order to lose the notion of time and reach evermore intense and deep relaxation.

For aromatherapy we have chosen essential oils selected by the Helleboro Herbalists, partner of Park Chalet Village; thanks to these scents our psychophysical state regains its balance.

Our sense of smell is one of the most intimate senses linked to our emotions and memory; this explains the extraordinary evocative power of scents. It has been established that some essences produce quite a notable effect on our emotional and psychic balance, capable of relieving anxiety, sadness and the harming effects of stress.

The stove in conclusion offers us atmospheric romantic evenings: the company and charm of the fire, a “touch” to make the environment truly unique, all effortless; the stove is programmed to turn on automatically.

At night-time the Tavern Relaxation area can become a cosy bedroom if necessary, thanks to a comfortable armchair bed, and small areas created for this specific need, and the Home Wellness Centre with its own bath is always available.

PRIVATE WELLNESS OASIS
Reserve our Mandala Spa for one or two persons with double Jacuzzi, chromotherapy and enjoy various massages and oriental treatments.

A massage room in which the eternal charm of the sound of waters is combined with the magic of oriental spirituality… with particular reference to Buddhist tradition, where the bound of mind and body is re-established, something so important in perhaps less technological cultures but far more spiritual.

The fact that one can find even in top class hotels, massage rooms similar to medical wards appears paradoxical and witnesses the spiritual impoverishment of our western society. Not so at Park Chalet Village, where once again we started from basics or to say it better from the most primordial elements: water and fire.

A first room, with a big water well built of stones coming from the local Viera stream, beams from 200 year old houses in Trepalle, cauldrons from far Veneto provinces; a big Jacuzzi for 2 people, surrounded by elegant mirrors and again few centuries old beams from “Valdidentro” valley; an unusual small bridge in burnt larch upon another pool surrounded by ancient stones in which water falls inside coming from wooden gutters from old times; all around watering lights reflections and vacuous candle lights.

The goal is self evident: to create a magic world where words are given back to water: dripping, gurgling, rinsing, showers, dripping, lapping … do we still have ears to perceive these eternal sounds? do we still have “noble souls” to enjoy them?

A second room, deeply inside, hidden, even more intimate where the charm of fire is overwhelming. If we had allowed water to talk to us, if we had sufficiently payed attention to its worlds, if we had allowed us to be taken in a new dimension where space and time loose their meaning, then we are ready for a journey that someone – particularly bright – suggested to take 2500 years ago, writing an authoritative invitation at the entrance of Apollo temple in Delphi: “ KNOW THYSELF “.

For sure the atmosphere in here is like in a small temple, not only for the beautiful Buddha from Burma statue and for the small elephants from India, but also because among candle lights, curtains, coloured lights and various ornaments… orange is the pervasive colour.

With these premises, the old oriental massage art has its saying; it could be a “tuina” Chinese massage, a Japanese “shiatsu” massage, a “thai” massage or an Indian “ayurvedic” massage, the deepest goal is always the same: to massage the Body in order to caress the Spirit. Have a good journey!

THE WINTER/AUTUMN TIME

And if sometimes, for one reason or another, wouldn’t skiing be possible? That’s easy: one can always enjoy his own chalet! Does it snow? Lovely! Outside snowflakes falling, caressing the chalets…, children with the snow up to their knees make a snowman, just like all children have always done while playing in the snow; inside the chalet, comfortably seated on the sofa people are indulging themselves in pleasant conversation while sipping a good glass of wine.

One can always go down in the tavern… to play cards in front of the pellet stove or even for some moments of tenderness: a Finnish Tylo sauna, a small ceremony to find one’s self… maybe followed by a calm hydromassage in the Jacuzzi… coloured lights, aromas and candles and soft music… everything in order to find once again peace and tranquillity.

Skiing in Livigno means Mottolino. Mountain huts, ski and snowboard slopes for all levels of competence, free kindergarten, the famous Mottolino Snowpark and much more. Mottolino fun mountain is just one kilometre far from Park Chalet Village, easy to reach by bus (free) in only 4 minutes.

Carosello 3000 is the western side of Livigno valley; here at 2800 metres of altitude, at the arrival of cable car n°12 and in panoramic view over the valley, the Carosello 3000 restaurant offer a variety of different possibilities to enjoy a good meal or a quick snack; at the Self Service – open during summer time, too – the food is prepared on sight; at the Snack Bar and at the Pizzeria one can enjoy a traditional or a more international brunch.

Livigno welcomes you with more than 30 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails that are made available to all fans of this emotional way of skiing straight from the very first snowfalls; kilometres of easy or more difficult trails on a wide open valley where sun is always present.

This ski school is positioned in the centre of Livigno and all ski instructors being local can give you practical advices on the best Livigno can offer in order to make your holiday an unforgettable one. The “maestri” are all trained in the various winter activities and they are happy to take you into fantastic adventures on the snow making you feel unique experiences.

Lupigno Kinder Club is more than a simple playground. Thanks to a wide programme of various activities, children have the opportunity to learn skiing under the guidance of qualified “maestri” by simply playing in constant contact with nature. For children from 3 to 13 years old there is Lupigno Kinder Club where under the supervision of expert instructors, children can enjoy themselves and make new friends in a colourful and playful environment.

Snowshoes and alpine skiing are the two main ways to move in the nature in winter. Snowshoes, called “drezola” in the local dialect, are used by mountain people to move around in the cold season and allow to get deep inside woods and valleys that in winter seem to have fallen into deep sleep, and give the chance of having a look at the life of many animals that in this environment spend winter time.

That is to say, the appeal of helicopter flights to reach intact slopes, far away from the usual freeride trails. Livigno and the “Alta Valtellina” territory offers various possibilities to satisfy all free skiing fans.

In Trepalle, a little village closed to Livigno, there is the chance for skidoo tours along beautiful and panoramic trails. For the ones who want to improve driving mastery and performance in adverse climate conditions, there is the opportunity to attend Oliviero Bormolini “Ice Driving School”; from his driver and rally man experience, his school offers, from December to March, safe, sport and competitive driving courses on snow and ice.
