Hotel Piccolo Portofino, surrounded by the typical luxuriant vegetation of the Liguria Riviera, among the crystal clear water of Portofino and the blue sky, is a piece of art of the reception, unique of its kind. A hidden jewel, that has to be searched end discovered.

Obtained from a refined period villa, today it is a boutique hotel, and from its generous terraces, a breathtaking view onto this exclusive stretch of coast can be enjoyed. Inside, the contemporary design plays on strong contrasts, with combinations of marbles in white and black, and red velvets, crystals and soft fabrics.

The set offers sensations of a refined, exclusive equilibrium and a romantic intimacy. Feelings that find their highest expression in the only 23 rooms of the hotel.

Here, among all the comforts suited to the modern traveler, the contrasts are reduced, giving way to the softness of pastel tones, the whiteness of beds and enveloping pillows, to the transparency of the curtains behind which the gaze is lost onto the renowned beauty of this location to emphasize the stunning surrounding landscape.

It’s added since this year to the range of services that Hotel Portofino is proud to dedicate to its guests. Just five minutes from the Hotel there is the legendary Piazzetta of Portofino, for a walk, a coffee, or for a moment of pure relaxation. Or for shopping in renowned brand stores.

The refined, modern design and light colors of the Hotel Piccolo’s rooms offer a comfortable and welcoming environment. The different types, most of which overlook the enchanting Tigullio Gulf, are equipped with all comforts.

Overlooking the magnificent and exclusive sea of Portofino. The neutral hues of the interiors highlight the vibrant natural landscape that can be admired from windows. Design and modern style are the key features of this room. Simple furnishings and natural shades enhance the suite with elegance and brightness.

Room with internal view. Classic room is the epitome of rigorous basic furnishings and the luxuriant nature typical of the Ligurian Riviera. Nature and interiors merge to create a unique environment that is both relaxing and elegant.

The stylish interiors and minimalist design of the restaurant at Hotel Piccolo are inspired by the typical colours of the houses in Portofino, in a bright and intense red that contrasts with the soft colours of the furnishings.

The proposals of the restaurant start from the rich gastronomic tradition of Liguria, a sea and land food that respects the old and new cuisine of the region, where coast and hinterland merge into a single soul.

This is how dishes with the freshest catch of the day, but also with selected meats, with venison, and with wild and cultivated herbs, the basis of the famous and renowned “basil pesto”, are born. Furthermore cakes and pies with vegetables, fillings and buns.

An excellent wine list accompanies the menus to exalt the flavours of this rich and tasty cuisine. At last, in order not to miss anything, this year there is a new restaurant on the terrace, to try with its idyllic setting and its delicious proposals as an alternative to the menu of the main restaurant…While for a fresh light lunch there is the restaurant on the beach.

Hotel Piccolo Portofino is located in a privileged position, set on the slopes that characterize this exclusive stretch of the Ligurian coast overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio.

During the sixties this location became very famous thanks to the protagonists of the star system, the nobles and aristocrats began to populate this fascinating locality to enjoy its exclusive parties and its fantastic scenery.

The town of Portofino has remained unchanged all over the times, beautiful to live and to see as well. But the real soul of Portofino does not consume itself among yachts and worldliness.

To understand it we must go back to its ancient origins: a fisher village, founded by the Romans with the name of Portus Delphini, in honor of the many dolphins that lived in this area, with narrow streets and colorful houses, winding paths, and small squares of polished pebbles.

It is complex but simple at the same time, Portofino is a real gem that is surrounded by the sea and is caressed by the sky. An ideal destination for those who want to relax and spend their holidays in this “open-air living room”, sitting in one of the bars of the main square, walking on the boardwalk, or enjoying the beautiful beaches.

Much of the magical charm of this city remains tied to its geographical location: Portofino develops itself along the bay of the Tigullio Gulf, at the feet of the mountain.

To get to Portofino, you can land at the airport in Genoa 85 km far, or at the airport of Pisa 120 km far. By train, there is no station, but you can get off at the station of S. Margherita Ligure and travel to Portofino by bus (every 20 minutes) by taxi, or for those who dare even on foot, with a beautiful walk of about one hour and a half.
