Rajmahal Palace is the newest addition to RAAS’ portfolio of historic properties. Renowned for injecting a modern aesthetic to some of India’s finest heritage properties, this 19th-century regal retreat makes for an iconic visit.

Rajmahal Palace offers 13 rooms and suites and two spectacular Royal Apartments. Each room unites classic and contemporary styles, resulting in a perfect example of Indian Art Deco.

The palace has magnificent, serene gardens and a gorgeous Art Deco-style swimming pool. The walls of the palace tell stories of Jaipur, the ‘Pink City’, and are a unique oasis for a romantic stay that exudes luxury.

Rajmahal Palace is located at the heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site — Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The city holds some priceless national treasures such as Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and City Palace.

Rajmahal Palace is an opulent heritage residence turned luxury hotel that provides some of Jaipur’s most sumptuous experiences.

The hotel is eclectically decorated, combining old-world culture with a contemporary style. It’s best known for its scrumptious food at both the Polo Bar and 51 Shades of Pink. There’s also a palatial spa.

Rajmahal Palace was built in 1729. The property was the home of Maharaja Sawai Man ‘Jai’ Singh and Maharani Gayatri Devi for many years. The Maharani describes the Palace in her memoir, A Princess remembers, as a place that had ‘charm and character and a pleasantly informal atmosphere’.

The Royal family’s photos, polo trophies, classic 1950’s Ford Thunderbird and many heirlooms are on display at the property.

This heritage palace has hosted some of the world’s most prominent dignitaries including Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke of Edinburgh. The property still belongs to the Royal Family and is currently the home of Rajmata Padmini Devi.

SUITES & ROOMS
The hotel has thirteen rooms and suites. While the accommodation varies in size (you’d never be left wanting for space) each room and suite is furnished with a mix of family heirlooms and contemporary artifacts. Some are even named after the celebrity visitors who once occupied them: Kennedy, Mountbatten, (Diana) Princess of Wales.

The Queen Elizabeth Suite, which has two bedrooms, and Maharaja Suite (when combined with the Yuvraj Suite) form two separate apartments within the larger establishment. The Queen Elizabeth Suite (2 Bedrooms)
This majestic suite is true to its name. It was the room Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Stayed in when she and the Duke of Edinburgh were visiting India on a State Visit during the winter of 1961.

This is a family suite that comprises of a large double bedroom, a dressing room, a drawing room, an ensuite bathroom and a separate double bedroom and bathroom. It’s well suited for a family with children.

Maharani Suite
This splendid apartment offers goest a spacious master bedroom along with a sitting room that leads into a dressing room, an ensuite bathroom, a private dining room, a fully equipped service kitchen and a grand entrance hall.

Double doors lead down into an enclosed private veranda and a plunge pool so perfect for entertaining. Guests who stay in the Maharani’s Apartment are provided with a private butler for the entire duration of their stay such that every need of theirs is met. The stay also includes a complimentary Chauffeur Service to and from Jaipur Airport.

Maharaja Suite
This 3126 SQ FT lavish apartment is a perfect fit for Royalty. It used to serve as the private suite of the two Maharajas, Sawai Man Singh II and his son Sawai Bhanwani Singh. When you enter your apartment, you encounter a private entrance hall filled with curios from the past.

The apartment comprises of a living area, separate bar, a drawing room that opens out to a private terrace that’s perfect for entertaining. It also holds a private dining room perfect for eight people, adorned with portraits of Jaipur’s Maharajas.

The main bedroom has an adjoining marble bathroom with a bathtub, shower and twin basins. The entire room expresses old-world charm but is equipped with state of the art technology to provide you with a comfortable stay.

The Yuvraj Suite is the second suite that belongs to The Maharaja’s Apartment. It consists of a double bedroom, a dressing room and an ensuite bathroom.

Guests who stay in the Maharaja’s suite are provided with a private butler for the entire duration of their stay such that every need of theirs is met. The stay also includes a complimentary Chauffeur Service to and from Jaipur Airport.

Palace Suites
This suite was a part of the private quarters of two successive Maharajas, Sawai Man Singh II and his son Sawai Bhanwani Singh. You may enter the suite through a private entrance hall and once you do, you’re transported into a regal atmosphere.

DINING
At RAAS Rajmahal, you have 4 unique options to choose from. The Colonnade, 51 Shades of Pink and Orient Occident: The three restaurants, collectively, offer a mix of Indian and international cuisines.

The Polo Bar is a nod to Jaipur’s polo history and the décor follows that theme. On the menu we have a comprehensive list of cocktails, wines and fine spirts – both Indian and international.

51 Shades of Pink
51 Shades of Pink is dedicated to the ‘Pink City’. As an ode to Jaipur, it is most popular for breakfast as the morning light floods into its mirrored interiors. It is adjacent to the Colonnade and also opens out into the regal Palace’s gardens and lawns.

The Colonnade
The Colonnade specialises in freshly prepared comfort food and is open 24 hours for resident guests. This restaurant serves breakfast, hi tea and opens out into the splendid gardens. The tall glass doors offer a stunning view of the palace lawns. Non-resident guests are welcome but are required to make a prior reservation.

The Polo Bar
This former Library has been transformed into a majestic bar with low seating and accent lighting. The Polo Bar holds some of the Royal Family’s most treasured memorabilia — from trophies to triumphs on the polo field.

Its Tiffany Blue aesthetic makes it one of the most sought after night-cap spots in the hotel. It offers a wide range of cognacs, wine and liquors from across the world, paired with a scrumptious menu.

Visiting Hawa Mahal “The Place of Wind”
The Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 and is one of Jaipur’s most sought-after tourist destinations. The 953 windows or Jharokhas’ on the outside walls add immense value to the beauty of its architecture.
