Riva Lofts is a precious jewel nestled on the left bank of the Arno, just a stone’s throw from the renaissance centre of Florence. The complex, characterised by a centuries-old history, was originally used as a factory from 1880, then later converted into artisan workshops, until eventually becoming the home-atelier of architect Claudio Nardi in 1999.

Thanks to its slightly secluded location, it offers guests the possibility to relax in an intimate, yet not isolated setting, and to peacefully appreciate an authentic atmosphere far from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Riva Lofts is an urban refuge in which to indulge in every last pleasure: in the summer, you can soak up the sun by the pool; in the winter, you can sit by the fire in the common lounge with stone walls.

Alternatively, you can grab one of the vintage bikes, cross the Arno and breathe in the clean air of the large “Parco delle Cascine”, or perhaps lose yourself among the buildings of the historical city centre.

The minimalist style is warmed by the materials – stone, wood, glass; the vintage furnishings are perfectly blended with the elements of design, thus pleasing the eye wherever it happens to fall.

THE LOFTS
Riva Lofts are developed in articulated volumes, each different to the other in terms of form, position, finishings, where antique and modern furnishings, tradition and modernity, new and old materials come together in a light and natural mix.

Each apartment has its own special relationship with the outdoor space, the park, the river, the garden, the pool. All lofts are equipped to ensure guests experience true comfort, immersed in design.

The main building of the complex is available for shared use by guests, featuring a common lounge with stone walls, cross vaults, a library and large fireplace. The lounge features a large glass window looking out to the private garden and spectacular white sandstone pool.

Designer lofts, each designed by architect Claudio Nardi, developed in articulated volumes and each with their own form, position and finishings. Inside, an impressive fusion of early 20th century and modern antique furnishings; tradition and modernity; new and old materials; wood and Corian in a light, natural mix.

SUITE LOFT
These lofts are developed on multiple levels, across a surface area of up to 100 square metres, set apart by their breath-taking panoramic views of the city skyline or riverbanks and the famous park known as “Parco delle Cascine”.

Exclusive and sophisticated spaces have been meticulously designed: the minimalist furnishings harmoniously blend with the spectacular architecture and the incredibly large, luminous spaces are inhabited by unique designer collectibles and modern antiques. In these lofts, everything is designed to make your stay unforgettable.

SUPERIOR LOFT
These lofts are developed on the ground floor on a single surface area of up to 45 square metres and can accommodate up to 3 people. These apartments have been designed with utmost attention to detail.

The organisation of the spaces, high ceilings, soft draperies, innovative materials and furnishings: here, every single luxury is at your service to make your stay even more enjoyable and ensure your experience at Riva Lofts is truly unique. All the lofts include a designer kitchenette and bathroom with shower.

STANDARD LOFT
Lofts of about 30 square metres at the service of couples, perfect for those who wish to explore the city centre during the day and relax in the garden or large common lounge in the evenings.

These pied-à-terre, without stairs or kitchenette, are nonetheless equipped with a boiler and selection of teas, biscuits and instant coffee; one double or two single beds; bathroom with shower. The cosy and welcoming atmosphere is guaranteed by the warm materials and light colours, for a truly peaceful and tranquil stay.

EVENTS

WEDDINGS IN FLORENCE
Your wedding at Riva Lofts can be either classic or contemporary. In summer, in the beautiful garden, or in winter, by the fireplace. The furnishings selected by architect Claudio Nardi will create the setting for this unforgettable event in a perfect position, guaranteeing there’s always something to look at in every direction.

And, as the backdrop, the building’s centuries-old history, the flowing river, the “Parco delle Cascine”, the city skyline. Our complex can host up to 200 guests in the garden with pool and up to 50 seated guests in the lounge with fireplace.

MEETINGS
Riva Lofts offers its unique spaces for professional and team building events for groups of 4 to 40 people, including personalised coffee-break and lunch-break services, video projections, Wi-Fi and whatever else you need to make your meetings a constructive and pleasurable experience.

PRIVATE EVENTS
At Riva Lofts, you can organise a dinner, party, Yoga or dance course, contemporary art exhibition or theatrical event for a selective audience. You can opt for the spacious lounge with fireplace, the large Loft with terrace or the garden with pool to stage your event in a location brimming with charm and history, designed by the famous architect, Claudio Nardi.

THE FLAVOURS OF TUSCAN COOKING
We select and advise you on the best cooking courses in the city: under the guidance of a professional chef, you’ll learn to make delicious ravioli, tagliatelle, tagliolini, pappardelle depending on the menu of the week!

Alternatively, you can participate in a tailor-made course for one or more days with specific themes based on your own recipes and desires, prepared under the chef’s direct supervision.

TRUFFLE HUNTING
We can recommend different types of truffle tours: from 1 hour hunts to full-day tours that combine cooking lessons and wine tasting. Truffle hunting is an ancient Tuscan tradition; it’s less of a job and more of a real and genuine passion: it requires a trained dog, a searcher (authorised by the local authorities) and above all, love and respect for nature.

CHIANTI CLASSICO TOUR
A full-day tour with private driver complete with cellar tastings, typical restaurants and ancient villages in the heart of the Chianti, crossing through the Tuscan countryside. Depending on your preferences, the tour can be personalised to include a visit to other points of interest before returning to the hotel.

PIC NIC
When the sun is shining bright, there’s nothing more relaxing than lying in the garden and enjoying the peace and calm of this secluded oasis located right in the heart of Riva Lofts.

Forget about the hassle of going out for lunch during the hottest hours of the day and treat yourself to our picnic basket by the pool! Inside a traditional Florentine basket ordered earlier in the morning, you’ll find a selection of local delicacies and snacks sure to top off the perfect afternoon.

YOGA LESSON
Relax by practising yoga in the spectacular setting of Riva Lofts. The peace and balance of this discipline meets with design in a truly emotional union. Private lessons can be booked for one person or small groups according to preference and the season. They can be held either inside the lofts, in the lounge or in the garden.

GOLF
The British community introduced golf to Italy in 1889 when they built an 18-hole course on land belonging to the Demidoff princes, just north of the city of Florence. Riva Lofts is located just a few minutes from the historical “Golf Club de II Parco di Firenze”, which offers several 9 or 18-hole courses, and on request, an instructor and a driving range.

TENNIS
Just a stone’s throw from Riva Lofts lies the “Circolo del Tennis Firenze”, one of Italy’s oldest and most famous tennis clubs, located in the magnificent park setting of the “Parco delle Cascine”.

Since 2004 it has been part of the “Club dei Centenari” (Centennial clubs) and our staff is available to organise a match, whether you’re a professional player, a fan or beginner. You will have access to the courts, the sauna, the change rooms and the restaurant.

FITNESS
Just across the Arno lies the green lung of the city: the “Parco delle Cascine”. The ideal context for a walk, run or bike ride in the open air, or even to try one of the fitness trails available to visitors.

HORSE RIDING
The pleasure of horseback riding with a walk through the Park? Those holding a licence issued by international federations, or otherwise who send in a few documents in advance, will be able to access the “Centro Ippico Toscano”, one of the best equestrian centres in Tuscany located on the other side of the river.

MUSICAL MAGIC
Tickets for the various shows of “Maggio Fiorentino” (Florentine May), held just a short distance from Riva Lofts, with a special pass and personal guide to visit the behind-the-scenes. We can recommend unique cultural experiences in the historical and modern landmarks of Florentine culture.
