Your hosts: The Stock family!
Without the love and passion of the Stock family, the STOCK resort would not be what it is today. The Stock host family established one of the most excellent hotels in the Alps, has taken on a pioneering role in local tourism and helped in shaping this in Zillertal.

Everything began as happy days always do: with love. Josef and Barbara Stock tied the knot in 1976 and in the same year opened their jointly managed restaurant Bratpfandl, the cradle of today’s success.

And privately, good fortune is also on their side: In 1977, Daniel is born, in 1978 Alexander and in 1982 Christine. Just like the three children and grandchild David, the STOCK resort grew into a personality strong in character.

Having arrived in the present, the Stock Family is more committed than ever with their passion for hospitality and with their vision to create an extraordinary place in Finkenberg in Zillertal. Every day is suffused with the joy and gratefulness of what has been achieved and the dreams for tomorrow.

After being active, no matter if in summer or winter, fresh salads, warm main dishes, home-made soup, fresh fruit and vegetables, specialty coffees and tea, as well as sweet treats from the in-house patisserie are waiting for you at the included gourmet buffet. More delicacies such as fresh pizza can be found in our ‘Goldstück’.

Should you become peckish while enjoying wellness or after a treatment or a massage, fresh buttermilk, whey, coffee, tea as well as healthy and vitamin-rich snacks are available in the conversation lounge in the SPA-zone.

Dinner

Excellent 6-course menu with selections with various theme nights and additional daily vegan and vegetarian dishes. Once a week we put on a gala evening. Please come in casual-elegant clothes.

Always a highlight – STOCK´s Kitchenparty! Instead of a set dinner menu at your own table in the restaurant, you can take a seat 1 x week (except Mountain Festival season) at the various stations in the kitchen to enjoy salads, warm and cold delicacies, small sweets and wonderful desserts in the staff restaurant, and watch the chefs at work up close.

Enjoy in style

Appropriate dress for dinner is understood differently in many countries of the world. You don’t have to wear an evening dress or a stiff suit to the daily gourmet menu at the STOCK resort. We do, however, ask you to refrain from wearing slippers and shorts.

With the COOKERY, the STOCK host family has created not only an innovative hotel kitchen, but “feel fresh” at its finest and a young, eventful and at the same time excellent type of new haute cuisine.

Once a week the STOCK Kitchen-Party is celebrated here in a casual ambience, a culinary get-together in keeping with the STOCK feeling: Set off on an easy-going culinary tour of discovery in the hotel kitchen, designed like a stylish living room.

And so you put together your own menu – as always regional, seasonal and sustainable – in the various work areas and learn interesting facts in the separate chocolate room.

Meet up at the bar or the schnapps counter and dine in one of the various dining rooms or at the casual seating provided directly in the COOKERY. In the ‘Goldstück’ oven-fresh pizza is baked five days a week for the afternoon buffet.

Ahorn “Genießerberg”

How about a relaxing day on the mountain? On a short circular walk or rather on a summit? Or do you want to get closer to real hawks and eagles than ever before? Too hot for such plans and rather at a lake? Why decide, if you can do everything?

The “Ahorn”, also called “Genießerberg”, is just the thing for young and old to switch off. From mid-July to the end of October, the “Ahorn” is open daily for you during the summer season. Get up with one of the largest gondolas in Europe, the Ahornbahn and experience the mountain.

The circular walk is intended for young and old and therefore created in a flat terrain. Again and again you will find viewing platforms equipped with telescopes, from which one you have a great panoramic view of the Zillertal and surrounding, up to an hour away huts and mountain peaks.

Also for hot days is taken care of! A small lake just above the cable car provides cooling. While the children let off steam at the water attractions, such as the water glands or the raft, the parents can relax and take a little break on the double wooden beds next to them.

Up to the mountain, but with skiers

Do you remember how it was like to ski for the first time? The snow under the boards, the tingle of the wind that feeling on the face and the full mountain experience?

Yes? So get dressed into your ski outfit and off to the mountain! But who of you might be a little rusty, or who already has his own little young winter athlete who also wants to learn the fascination of skiing or snowboarding, is just right for the Finkenberg ski school.

A few hours of private lessons with the ski instructors? Half-day or full-day group lessons with other children? With or without lunch? There are many different possibilities, and the Finkenberg ski school has the perfect offer for everyone.

Who stays at the STOCK resort, is punctually picked up at 09:00 in the morning by the ski instructor Gitti in the hotel and brought to the Finkenberger Almbahn with the STOCK shuttle only 200m away.

The only thing you have to do in advance is: register your children at the ski school information (Saturday & Sunday 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm) opposite the reception, ski equipment in the right size at Sport Stock or as a combination offer at the Rent ski school Finkenberg and order the ski pass (for children over 6 years) at the reception. And then it can start!

In the morning 2 hours of ski lessons at the magic carpet or already on the slopes make you hungry! Varied lunches are served directly in the own ski school house and after a short break joyn in the afternoon another 2 hours on the slopes.

Afterwards the kids shuttle back to the cable car and the STOCK resort shuttle back to the hotel where the parents are waiting for the kids! A quick refreshment at the wellness buffet and off we go to the exciting holiday world in the hotel!

The Tyrolean Advent and his Christmas markets will elate you with the smell of incense and punch.

If one strolls through the advent weekends at Mayrhofner Advent, which is only 10 minutes away by car, discover above all traditional delicacies such as “Zillertaler Krapfen” or “Kiachl” with cranberries or sauerkraut, chestnuts, fried sausages and waffles.

The most famous Christmas market with all its variety in Tyrol is in Innsbruck. Daily from 15.11. until 23.12. at 05:00pm the tower windmakers perform on traditional orphans directly in front of the Golden Roof, the center of the Innsbruck old town.
