MENDOZA
The Mendoza Province is one of Argentina’s most important wine regions, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the country’s entire wine production.
Located in the eastern foothills of the Andes, in the shadow of Mount Aconcagua, vineyards are planted at the some of the highest altitudes in the world with the average site located between 2,000–3,600 ft.
The Uco Valley (Valle de Uco) is a viticultural region southwest of Mendoza city. Situated along the Tunuyán River, the Uco Valley is widely considered one of the top quality wine regions in Mendoza by globally renowned wine experts including James Suckling and Tim Atkin.
The Uco Valley also offers world-class activities and a vibrant local culture that appeal to travelers from all over the globe. For adventurous types, the outer regions are as enticing as the wine country.
From white water rafting Rio Mendoza and mountain biking, hiking or horseback riding through the Andes, to fine dining and tranquil spas, there is something for everyone.
The annual average temperature is 14 °C (57 °F) and altitudes range from 900–1,200 metres (3,000–3,900 ft) above sea level. The Uco Valley figures prominently in the Argentina Wine Route for tourists.

Siete Fuegos, or “seven fires,” describes Francis Mallmann’s honed collection of open-flame cooking techniques, inspired by Argentine gauchos and European migrations, and refined through hundreds of years of history.
Savor the rustic, fiery flavors of specialties like 9-hour slow-grilled rib eye, cast-iron baked salt-encrusted salmon, grilled seasonal fruits, and more, paired with award-winning boutique wines.
We also have fabulous options for kosher guests (reserve in advance) as well as vegetarians and vegans. Dine indoors or out, or enjoy a front row seat in the open kitchen where you can watch our artisans of fire create impassioned Argentine fare.
THE BAR & CAVA
Wine and conversation are a natural pair, just like our Bar & Cava (wine cellar). Join us in this relaxing gathering place for friends and family, with plenty of cozy corners for two.
From our Cava, we’ve built an extensive wine menu with hundreds of the best Argentine labels. Choosing can be a delightful dilemma, and our Sommelier will draw on their deep knowledge of wines from around the world to guide you.
Our Sommelier has also created a menu of rotating wines by-the-glass to showcase local winemakers and offer guests intriguing tasting opportunities. To top it off, we feature a selection of wines crafted by our vineyard owners, which just might inspire the hidden winemaker within you!
The Bar offers hand-crafted cocktails, artisanal beer, seasonal blended juices and a cocktail menu that evolves throughout the year, in sync with our region’s bounty. Try Argentina’s famous Fernet, request your favorite concoction, or nibble on seasonal small plates.

Since 2004, The Vines has helped 185 wine lovers from around the world become winemakers – from planting and harvesting, bottling and labeling, and even shipping under the guidance of experts, including consulting winemaker Santiago Achaval, one of the top rated Argentine winemakers by Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.
OUR STORY
It started with a bold vision and a crazy dream.
In 2005, Pablo Gimenez Riili and Michael Evans recognized the world-class potential of Mendoza’s Uco Valley and invested in 650 acres of land. Their purpose: to make the dream of owning a vineyard and producing your very own premium quality wine a reality.
The Vines of Mendoza has since sold Private Vineyards to more than 230 owners from around the globe, expanded the property to 1,500 acres and established the highest quality winemaking enterprise in the region.
Each step of the way has been a labor of love and we enjoy nothing more than to share the fruits of our labor with you. We welcome visitors to our Mendoza City and Uco Valley Tasting Rooms where we showcase the best of Argentine boutique wines, including our own Recuerdo brand.
