Connected by raised wooden walkways, the seven sumptuous suites are staggered along the banks of a seasonal river. Evoking adventures of early Africa’s European explorers, each king suite is afforded its own personality and story.
Combining the lavish comforts of the colonial era with the raw realities of the surrounding wilderness, each indulgent suite possesses its own ample deck, complete with a private plunge pool, where guests may soak in the African sun and observe passing wildlife in total seclusion.
BAINES PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
John Thomas Baines was a British artist who explored the wild lands of Africa and Australia, painting what he saw as he travelled. Sleeping four people, Baines Presidential Suite is a perfect Safari home for families, or two couples.
Fully inclusive, Presidential guests can expect to be fully catered for, receive their own private game viewing vehicle, complete with ranger and tracker, and have their own butler and chef on hand.
GRANT SUITE
James Augustus Grant was a Scottish explorer of Africa who spent much of his time traversing the continent with the renowned John Hanning Speke, in search of the source of the Nile. Grant was known for his loyalty, his resilience through tough times and his commitment to Speke’s voyage.
Named after the Scotsman, the Grant Suite is a spacious villa home, accommodating up to four people in two luxury suites. Each suite boasts its own lavish bathroom, with views onto the African wilderness.
The home shares a comfortable lounge and a deck with a large plungepool, offering guests a central place to relax and enjoy time together while overlooking the bush. The suite is connected to the main lodge by a raised wooden walkway that winds through the wilds.
Guests of the Grant Suite are catered for at Tintswalo Safari Lodge’s main lodge building, enjoying their meals on the main lodge deck, in the dining room, or in the wine cellar.
Grant Suite guests are afforded their own private game viewing vehicle with a dedicated tracker and guide, offering a truly exclusive safari experience. The Grant Suite also makes for an idyllic family safari getaway, accommodating children aged 9 and upwards.

LET’S GET OUT THERE
Tintswalo Safari Lodge prides itself on offering guests an authentic African Safari experience. Being located on prime territory, the Manyeleti Game Reserve is nestled amidst the unfenced borders of the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands and the Timbavati Reserves.
Sitting in the heart of very this wilderness region, Tintswalo guests are treated to every imaginable wildlife sighting, including the Big Five, a variety of birdlife and small game, and colossal herds of large game.
Tintswalo Safari Lodge’s guides are hand-picked from among the very best candidates, selected for their knowledge, their passion for wildlife and their personal ability to be-friend guests and keep them entertained for the long hours spent together on game drives.
Trackers are sourced locally, many hailing from the native Shangaan communities, offering guests insights into the region’s local tradition and folklore. The trackers are truly gifted in their ability to track animals, prior to the game drives, using spoor and subtle signs of movement left in the bushveld.
Game drives are conducted in open, four-wheel drive game viewing vehicles. The vehicles are well-stocked with every comfort, including blankets for chilly mornings and night drives, refreshments and snacks for peckish adventurers and more practical supplies such as ponchos, insect repellent and sunscreen.
GAME DRIVES
Our professional guides and trackers are trained to take guests on guided activities. Before departure on a drive or walk, your guide will give you an orientation on safety , as well, the area and game you could expect to see.
Daily game drives, in open 4×4 Land Cruisers, depart the lodge early in the morning and again late in the afternoon, through into the dark starry Manyeleti evening.
The guides will discuss the drive times with you to suit your needs & comfort as well as optimum levels of animal activity. Guides and trackers will share with you a holistic and enriching experience, focusing on all animals, big or small, to ensure an understanding of this entire ecosystem.
Our security guards will wake you up in the morning where you may join all guests for morning refreshments in the lounge or pre-arrange tea and coffee to your room. If the earlier evening drive proved to be exciting and you would like to venture out into the late night for a drive after dinner, please let your guide know.
Should you wish to take a walk, please arrange this with your guide or lodge management. Remember to bring along your camera, hat, sunscreen and something warm for the cool mornings/evenings.
GAME WALKS
The Manyeleti Game Reserve is renowned for its numerous walking trails and wilderness areas. Walking is a wonderful and exhilarating way to appreciate the smaller insects, animals, tracks and plants of the bushveld.
Our highly trained and experienced guides will take you into the most amazing sycamore fig groves, open savannah plains or simply close to the lodge to explore and appreciate the smaller animals and wonders. Due to safety regulations, no person under the age of 16 is permitted on a bush walk.
PRIVATE 4X4 SAFARI
We have found that many guests have formed an interest in certain specialized areas from birds & trees to elephant, lion & photography. In order for those guests to devote more attention to such interests, we are able to offer the use of a private safari vehicle.

HOEDSPRUIT CHEETAH RESEARCH PROJECT
This is a 3 hour excursion. Visiting the cheetah breeding project, you are taken on an educational tour to view the beautiful king Cheetah and other endangered species.
MANYELETI COMMUNITY TRIP
This is a 2-3 hour informal excursion where we take you into the neighbouring community where many of our staff live. You will have the opportunity to meet families, view crafters at work, and perhaps visit a local school or a sangoma (traditional healer).
PANORAMA TOUR
This a full day’s excursion where you visit the beautiful sights of God’s Window, the Three Rondawels and the nearby towns of Graskop and Pilgrim’s Rest. You will also stop and have a picnic lunch along the way.
HOT AIR BALLOONING
This is an early morning excursion, where you will fly over the bushveld in a hot air balloon to view the sunrise. Light refreshments will be served after the scenic flight. This excursion is extremely dependant on the weather conditions.
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
This excursion takes to you into the world heritage site of Kruger National Park where you can see the beautiful sights and animals. Please note that this excursion is done in a closed air-conditioned vehicle.
MOHOLOHOLO
This is an animal rehabilitation centre that gives you a guided tour and interesting information of conservation. You may get a chance to see the vulture restaurant and handle the animals. Please note that this excursion is done in a closed air-conditioned vehicle.
HOEDSPRUIT TOWN TOUR
This is a 60 minute drive to the nearest town, Hoedspruit to introduce you to some local flavour! The Kamagelo Tourism Centre provides numerous shops and restaurants for your enjoyment.
You return via the Bombyx Mori Silk Farm where you can view beautiful local crafts as well as a tour of the silk factory, where silk duvets and linen are produced and exported all over the world. Please note that this excursion is done in a closed air-conditioned vehicle.
JESSICA THE HIPPO
Come and meet the world famous Jessica the hippo. She is about an hour away situated near Hoedspruit and would really like to meet you. She is nine years old and has a lovely sweet nature. You can pet her and feed her and take photos with her. An absolute must see!! Please note that this excursion is done in a closed air-conditioned vehicle.
