This stunning XVIIIth century Villa, surrounded by the Alps and facing the Barolo hills (part of the Unesco World Heritage List), offers to its guests breathtaking views on the Langhe vineyards and on the picturesque Monforte village.

THE HISTORY
The hotel Villa Beccaris is a XVIIIth century Villa where, for a time period, lived the General Fiorenzo Bava Beccaris from whom it inherited its name.

The general was born in Fossano on 17th March 1831 from a notable Piedmont noble family. He studied at the Military Academy in Turin and he became military officer in the Savoia army.

He took part to the Crimean war and to the second and third independency wars. The episode which gave him relevance, was the siege on Milan and province in 1898 when he suppressed the insurrection against the taxes, bread and flour prices increase imposed by the Savoia reign.

His villa in Monforte had been abandoned for a long time, when in 1996 a group of friends, art lovers and owners of different local businesses, decided to restore it and in September 1997 relaunch it as a charming hotel.

Since then, the main aim in Villa Beccaris has been to delight guests in “a home away from home” where to feel pampered and relaxed.

ROOMS & SUITES
The 23 rooms face the centuries-old private park, the swimming pool and the solarium terraces. They feature fresco ceilings, antique furniture and stylish bathrooms.

SUITE
This spacious suite, with garden views, features a XVIIIth century wooden floor, fresco ceilings and antique furniture. The room is characterized by an en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower, hairdryer, amenities, bathrobe and slippers.

The elegance of the inner common areas recreates the warm atmosphere of a private house where each guest feels welcomed and pampered.

THE LIMONAIA
The Limonaia is a wrought iron and wide windows building from which stunning views on the Langhe and Roero hills can be enjoyed.

Here the breakfast buffet is served daily from 7.30 to 10.30 am: on offer are sweet and savory local products together with tasty cold and hot dishes, accurately chosen to satisfy every guest’s taste.

From May onwards, when the days become warmer and more enjoyable, guests are welcomed to seat at the outdoors Limonaia tables to enjoy their breakfast, aperitives, light lunches and afternoon snacks.

The Limonia is also the ideal location to organize exclusive events and ceremonies for up to 50 guests, being air conditioned and heated all year round.

THE WINE BAR
Villa Beccaris historical bar offers all day and evening long, the opportunity to enjoy light dishes and to taste refreshing soft drinks, cocktails and a wide variety of Piedmont’s wines by choosing them directly from the private wine cellar “Infernot”.

THE MEETING ROOM
Near to the precious wine enoteca is located the meeting room “Generale Bava Beccaris”, the ancient exposed brickwork Villa’s cellar. It is the ideal space for work meetings, elegant parties and small music events.

It can host up to 60 guests, theatre style and 30 guests classroom style. Projector, screen and wi-fi are available for use. Nearby is the private Villa’s parking area, a secure and convenient space for each meeting’s attendee.

SWIMMING POOL & GARDEN
The “Galleria delle ortensie” is a relaxation area located between the internal garden and the swimming pool and thought especially for the hot summer days. Thanks to its magical atmosphere, it is also an ideal space where to organize, between June and August, events and ceremonies for up to 135 guests.

Hidden under the Limonaia and facing the breathtaking panoramic views on the Langhe hills, sporty guests can find a quiet corner equipped with spinning bikes, an healthy way to awaken body and mind early in the morning.

THE PARK
From May to September guests can enjoy walking through the park which surrounds the Villa: 25.000 sq.m. of land which lead to the several pathways of the area.
