Villa Fillinelle is a medieval residence that has been elegantly transformed into a lovely Relais in the heart of Chianti. Located between Florence and Siena, surrounded by nature and history, Villa Fillinelle is the perfect place for your Tuscan holiday.

The Villa is full of charm and peacefulness: the bedrooms window overlook rolling hills where the noble origins of ancient Florentine families lie, and where those nobles enjoyed long holidays.

Today Villa Villanelle offers its visitors a unique experience in prestigious, elegantly furnished rooms that include private bathrooms, fine linens, wardrobes, sitting areas, and satellite TV. The rooms are situated just off the Great Hall, now used as a Lounge and Dining Area.

A rustic, and yet fully furnished kitchen is just off the hall. A 7000 meter park covered in olive trees, secular trees, evergreens, and fragrant shrubs surrounds the Villa. The Villa includes a 100 square meter swimming pool with deckchairs, sunbeds and umbrellas for our guests.

Just off the swimming pool we find Loft Rondinelli. It has two bedrooms, a private kitchen, a living room, and a private bathroom. At Villa Fillinelle, children are more than welcome, and so are pets. Our guests also have at their disposal: laundry service, private parking, and transfer service.

Upon request we can prepare traditional Italian dishes for you, and organize art, cooking and gardening classes (extra services are not included in the price). The Villa is also available for public and private Events, such as Weddings, Taste-testing, and Business holidays.

It holds four lodgings—of which two are classified as suites, and two are charming, spacious bedrooms. The layout of Villa Fillinelle and its services are so perfectly organized that the entire Villa can be rented out to a group of people, or the suites and bedrooms can be rented out individually, B&B style.

Designed to accommodate groups, couples, small families, or friends travelling together, Villa Fillinelle is extremely versatile in its choice of lodgings. It all depends on what you need while on vacation. You can choose between suites or standard bedrooms, or even opt for the entire villa, which can house up to 12 people.

SUITE SERNIGI
Suite Sernigi is an enchanting suite located on the first floor of the Villa. It has its own sitting area and private bathroom. This spacious suite can accommodate up to 4 people. Immediately upon entering, you find yourself in a lovely living area which includes a sofa-bed for two, a bookshelf, and satellite TV.

From the living room, a terrace overlooks the park of the villa and the Tuscan hills. On the same floor we find a spacious bathroom with a mosaic tile design shower, a WC, a bidet, a sink and a large mirror.

Bright and quiet, the large master bedroom is located on the upper level, which you reach by way of an internal staircase. The bedroom has a small studio and a walk-in closet. It is tastefully furnished in fine nature-motif tapestry.

SUITE NALDINI
This enchanting suite is found on the ground floor. Luxuriously furnished in period furniture, floral silk embroidered fabrics and tapestries, it is without doubt the best suite for a romantic holiday. The door to the quarters opens onto a finely furnished living area that is perfect for both conversing and reading leisurely.

By passing through a small hallway you gain access to a private bathroom with double sinks, a shower, a WC, a bidet and a large mirror. Located on the upper level, overlooking the living area, is the master bedroom. You reach it by way of an arched entrance which leads to a staircase. Here, along with a double bed, we find a small desk and antique lamps under an ancient beam ceiling.

LOFT RONDINELLI
For those looking for a more independent holiday, Loft Rondinelli, which is annexed to the Villa, is ideal for groups of friends, and families.  Decorated in lovely Provencal style, the Loft is made up of two communicating bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with two single beds, a private bathroom, a beautiful living area and a kitchen.

Lovely red brick arches separate the spaces. The Loft overlooks the swimming pool, which is perfectly visible through the large windows, and it has private access to the garden.

CAMERA DEL RICCIO
The first floor hosts the Camera del Riccio, a room characterized by a fresh and comfortable style. The room has a double bed (that can be divided into two single beds) and a large private bathroom equipped with a small wardrobe, WC, bidet, and a large glass shower.

The style is made richer by the ethereal hues of azure that were so dear to Macchiaioli painters, and the shades of beige that give the room a peaceful quality, which is enhanced by the beautiful view of the Chianti hills.

COOKING CLASSES
We will teach you to prepare traditional Tuscan dishes: appetizers that use ingredients that are characteristic of our cuisine, like crostini, and real bruschetta, which is made with kale; two or three main courses, made with home-made pasta such as tagliatelle, lasagne, gnocchi or ravioli; famous Chianti soups like ribollita or pappa al Pomodoro, which are made with bread; mouth-watering second courses that we can plan together; our typical side dishes, which can include Tuscan beans, eggplant, cabbage, and more; and, last but not least, special Italian desserts like our exquisite tiramisu, frangipane, and biscotti di Prato.

The food is served with select Montalcino or Chianti wines from amazing cellars that you can visit afterwards.

WINE CELLAR TOUR
The Poggione winery is a small boutique winery created by vigneron Riccardo Casamonti, with the dream of giving new life to a way of conceiving wine that characterized the history of Tuscany until mid-nineties, and with the aim of recovering everything that was beginning to disappear at that time: century-old planta, varieties of native grapes and traditional wines.

The “Tuscan Experience” is a unique experience which offers the possibility of discovering the traditional face of Tuscany, through History, Nature and Taste.

HOT AIR BALLOON
The Hot Air Balloon is the best way to experience this amazing landscape. Glide over Tuscany, and the beautiful cities of Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano. And if you decide to enjoy this bird’s eye view of the enchanting Chianti countryside, departures leave Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (FI), at just five minutes drive from the Villa.

Thanks to the strategic position of the launch site, you will admire old Tuscan castles and Renaissance villas, enjoy the aerial view of the ancient towns of Poggibonsi, Siena, San Gimignano, and Colle Val D’Elsa, and be enchanted by the typical Chianti hills, vineyards and woodlands.

BIKING
Tuscany is especially well-suited to cycling and it is a regional pastime. Chianti in particular, with its hills and low mountain range that separates Florence from Siena, lends itself to travelling by bike along trails of varying difficulty.

These routes can be cycled on racing bikes, on hybrid bikes, and on mountain bikes, although the topography of the area lends itself to be traveled by mountain bike or good trekking bikes.

HORSE RIDING
Explore the beauty of the Chianti Classico countryside on horseback! You don’t have to be an expert horseman! The tour will take you into the lush Tuscan countryside on horseback. There, you can explore the wild and uncontaminated nature that is the home of Chianti Classico wines, take in the marvelous landscapes, and enjoy the sounds and smells of this famous region!

TRUFFLE HUNTING
Wine and food enthusiasts, both young and old, and nature lovers alike, can enjoy this unique experience: live and learn the marvelous and secret world of the different varieties of Tuscan truffles in every season.

This 90 minute truffle-tour will take you into in a local forest where a fully licensed truffle hunter will share their knowledge and experience of the world of Tuscan truffles with you in an entertaining and informative tour. The tour lasts 1 hour and is followed by a 4 course meal, including drink.

FLOWER DESIGN COURSES
A number of compositions will be created during the course: you will prepare a floral arrangement; a bouquet; and something to be composed and combined. Starting with the main component—the plants—and moving on to its different uses on different occasions, you will be able to select the seasonal flowers and colors that most appeal to you, choosing excellent quality materials and a variety of containers.

The first part of the course introduces the theory of how to select the best suited flowers, the way they should be arranged, and how to preserve them. From there you will move on to composing the complete arrangement.

Participants will be provided with all the necessary tools, and they will receive a gift of a small personal set of gloves, apron, scissors, and knife. All the arrangements created during the course will be the property of the participant.

ART COURSES
One-day Art classes are meant for those who have little time to spend in Florence and in Tuscany, but would like to experience an intensive day of Art in our studio, among the monuments and buildings of Florence, or any another area in Tuscany, such as the charming Chianti hills, the Medieval towns of Siena and San Gimignano, or even the beautiful Lucca.
