A sweet note of Italy emanates from the Junior Suites of Villa Gallici. The decoration is replaced by damask fabrics, velvet, bed skies, shepherdesses and other period furniture. The place tinged with romance, will delight you with its soul imprint of the paintings of the artist Cézanne and these gardens “à la française”.

La Villa Gallici’s Restaurant

In the evening, the tables are lit by an abundance of candles, while the dishes succeed one another at your table dressed all in white.

MENU

The Chef Christophe GAVOT and his team prepare inspired dishes every day with the very best seasonal produce. In a unique and enchanting setting, enjoy dishes where the flavours of Provence come together harmoniously with the very latest culinary trends.

For example, try a Roasted Fillet of Sisteron Saddle of Lamb, Saffron Potato Corks, Marinde of Sweet Pepper and Chives, Japanese Black Garlic. Here, Provence is often found in some surprising places.

An original character that will delight through both the a la carte and set menus. Our menus change according to the season and are regularly updated.

Tribute is also paid to the region’s wines alongside the large selection of vintage wines. The Maître d’hôtel Vincent Iorfida will advise you throughout your meal in order to ensure that you benefit from the very best association of dishes and wines.

THE CHEF
The Chef Christophe GAVOT has managed the kitchen at La Villa Gallici’s restaurant since 2003. With his team, he offers refined cuisine which changes with the seasons and gives pride of place to quality produce, whilst also focusing on cooking techniques and seasoning.

Every day, his aim is to achieve excellence, precision and a taste for perfection which he has acquired as a result of his experience with several prestigious French Chefs.

After training at the Hotel School in Monaco, our Chef started his career in Corsica and Switzerland before setting sail aboard the Mermoz cruise ship under Jean Abauzit, Master Chef of France.

On his return to dry land, Christophe Gavot joined the team of Jean-Pierre Pestre, Master Chef of France, as a Sous-Chef. At the time, the latter was at the helm of the Vista Palace Hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, above Monaco.

Christophe Gavot later pursued his career alongside Frédéric Milan for the opening of the Relais & Châteaux de Mirambeau. Today, the Chef shares his experience with his team at our restaurant in Aix to which he is particularly attached.

WINE CELLAR
Unusual.. but the new Wine Cellar stick together with the Villa Gallici Spa. Housed in the beautiful and elegant 18th Century Pavilion just in front of the swimming pool, in our Wine Cellar you can be delighted by wine tastings of excellent Regional, French and International Wines.

The shape of the Wine Cellar corresponds to a decanter: you enter a long shaped room which is like a neck and you reach the main rounded room.

A wooden ambience with a natural and playful atmosphere and delivers the impression of entering a wooden music instrument just like a mandolin. The music notes sculpted on the oak tree refers to the famous and celebrated opera festival of Aix-en-Provence.

A selection of 150 different labels amongst the Bordeaux, Bourgognes, Italian and exceptional wines (like Petrus) enhances the already existing rich Wine List of La Villa Gallici with its 180 labels… this is making of Villa Gallici Wine Cellar the most prestigious Wine Cellar of the Region.

THE NEW VILLA GALLICI SPA
The Wellness center & the Spa offer a surface of 200 sqm, are housed in a 18th Century’s style pavilon, beautifully decorated with the original white stones of Enverse . They are located In the heart of the magnificent French Style Gardens of the Villa Gallici, on the border of the swimming pool

There is also a gym place with Technogym equipments and a lovely Glass Wall overlooking the Garden with its wonderful Nature.

Last but not least: the Solarium on the roof of the Pavilion is the ideal place to bask in the sun, relax while having a cocktail or Aperitif and enjoy the stunning views over Villa Gallici and the center of Aix-en-Provence.

Let yourself be charmed by this town’s very special atmosphere and stroll around its picturesque streets, from the fountains to the lively squares. In the heart of the old town, discover the Tour de l’Horloge, the town’s old belfry, as well as Saint-Sauveur Cathedral.

In the heart of the Mazarin neighbourhood, pay a visit to Place des Quatre Dauphins at the centre of which stands a magnificent fountain. Another must is the Rotonde fountain, which dominates the famous Cours Mirabeau.

In the surroundings

When talking about Aix-en-Provence, it is impossible not to mention the Sainte-Victoire Mountain. It was made famous be the artist Paul Cézanne, who painted a multitude of “portraits” of it. On foot, by car, or by mountain bike, do not miss this emblem of Provence.

Take advantage of Aix-en-Provence’s central location to visit the region. In Avignon, discover the famous Popes’ Palace and the world-famous Saint-Bénezet Bridge. Not far away, the village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence offers a typical Provencal atmosphere, much appreciated by artists.

At the foot of the Alpilles, Les Baux-de-Provence, a famous medieval village built at the summit of a rocky peak, will delight you with its authentic character and tourist facilities.

Marseilles is also very close by: the Phocean city is packed with surprises, such as Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, which watches over the Old Port, the Canebière, and the picturesque neighbourhood of the Panier.

On both sides of Marseilles, treat yourself to a privileged moment in the rocky coves of the coast. The ones in Cassis are particularly famous, as much for their turquoise waters as their well-preserved natural environment.

Set out on an excursion around the Luberon. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and its antiques market, Lourmarin, Gordes, Ansouis and its castle, Cadenet, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse all extend a warm invitation to visitors.

LEISURE
After visits or if you just want to cool down, La Villa Gallici invites you to take advantage of its outdoor swimming pool. In the shade of the cypress trees, lulled by the song of the cicadas and the fragrance of lavender, take advantage of a soothing and relaxing moment.

ART
With its special light and landscapes, Provence has often inspired artists and writers. Emile Zola, Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne and many others have helped to forge the unchanging image of this land drenched in sunlight. Some of their works can be viewed near your hotel.

La Villa Gallici is just 500 metres from the Atelier Cézanne. Originally from Aix-en-Provence, this artist immortalised the Sainte-Victoire and many other landscapes in Provence. Visit his studio and follow the itinerary around the town devoted to the artist.

Some of Cézanne’s works are preserved at the Granet Museum, such as his “Bathers”. Be sure to visit this institution devoted to Fine Arts.

In the heart of the City, in the Old Quartier Mazarin excatly, is the location of L’Hotel de Caumont, an old building that used to be the Conservatoire of Music of Aix-en-Provence. It proposes temporary and different exhibition over the month.
