The rooms are divided into two categories with elegance as their underlying theme: Relax rooms are located on the right side of the structure, and Superior rooms on the left.

The difference between the two is that the former offers a shower enclosure while the latter offers a Jacuzzi tub. Among their many features, all the rooms enjoy a garden or an outside balcony.

You will find yourself immersed in the lush greenery and the fragrance of flowers as you delight in the breathtaking views offered by the upper balconies, displaying the wonder of our infinite and magnificent sea.

An impeccable bar service and a wide variety of snacks are readily available to guests.

EVENTS
The key ingredient for the success of any event is without a doubt the location: it must be well run, comfortable and immersed in a setting like no other.

Villa Gianlica is the perfect combination of these elements, and we are happy to host and organize your events. The lush greenery, the thousand shades of blue and the services offered are the perfect conditions to make your day unforgettable.

Needless to say, the hotel shows its most charming side when the sunlight gives way to the twinkling of a thousand stars and warm glow of the small village homes, while the pool is transformed into the perfect setting for an absolutely unique toast.

THE SWIMMING POOL
For moments of absolute comfort and immense pleasure in this superb setting, Villa Gianlica offers guests the chance to cool off in the pool while enjoying our impeccable bar service.

The pool blends seamlessly with the hotel terraces, reflecting and reproducing the sky’s many shades of blue and offering a stunning view of the sea.

You can sip a refreshing drink by the pool while enjoying delicious appetizers, or return home from your vacation with a golden, absolutely enviable tan, thanks to the elegant sun loungers.

MASSAGES
At Villa Gianlica our goal is to ensure you have an exclusive holiday where you always feel pampered. For this reason, our boutique hotel combines its main services with a few luxurious extras, including a rejuvenating in-room massage.

After a day of exploring these lands and all the wonderful surprises they have to offer, you cannot help but feel a bit tired; however, we do all we can to offer you an unsurpassed moment of pleasure.

CAR OR SCOOTER RENTAL
To make it easier to explore the region and discover an even wider range of attractions available, Villa Gianlica is happy to contact outside agencies to help you rent a car or a scooter. This way, you avoid the stress or possible delays of public transportation and thus have greater freedom to move around.

THE AMALFI COAST
All of the coastal villages are connected by the Sita bus line, which starts from Sorrento and branches off towards Sant’Agata, Massa Lubrense, and Amalfi. From Amalfi, Sita’s other terminal, you can change buses and continue to the other pearls of the coast, such as Minori and Maiori.

Buses leave from their respective terminals about every 30 minutes in the summer and every hour in the winter. Also available is the Flavio Gioia bus line, connecting the villages of Praiano and Positano.

You can also use a taxi or rent a vehicle for your own use. The ideal solution is to rent a scooter, given the difficulty of finding parking and the traffic, especially in the warmer months.

Keep in mind that there are no public transportation options available after early evening. For this reason, we strongly recommended that you do not move around at this time if you do not have your own means of transportation or are unable to arrange a taxi service.

Set on the slopes of Monte Tre Pizzi and cascading down the hillside to the sea, the charming town of Praiano is proud to be the top tourist destination of the whole Amalfi Coast. Even back in the time of the Maritime Republics, the Doges of Amalfi chose this place for their summer residence.

Set in a perfectly central location along the “Divine Coast”, Praia has since its earliest beginnings been divided into two main areas: the upper one of Praiano and the lower one in Vettica Maggiore.

In ancient times, this division also characterized the work and trade of the residents: the upper part enjoyed a flourishing cultivation of citrus fruits and vegetables that still distinguishes the area; while the lower part was the village’s confirmed fishing area, as visitors will find it today.

The people from Praia were not only skilled fishermen and farmers; they were also major producers of fishing nets and retine, the small nets used by women to adorn their hair.

They were also famous silk producers and experienced hands in bleaching of linen, manufacturing yarn and salting anchovies, in addition to being shrewd sailors and coral divers. Following this double route into the two ancient town centers, the surrounding area continues to show you everything Praiano has to offer.

Watched over by the mighty and ancient Saracen tower, the main attractions of Praiano are focused on Praia’s distinguishing beach, once a bustling trade center for the village.

The tower now houses the prestigious “Africana”, the most famous nightclub on the coast. It annually hosts a number of international artists and is also available for organizing your own events.

Heading to the beach, and crossing the romantic path that comes before it, we arrive at the “Pirata”, a charming restaurant and bar nestled on a steep precipice directly over the sea.

In addition to all the fun your little ones can have playing in the clear waters of the beach, the Marina di Praia offers young people the chance to take classes in windsurfing and kayaking. Rentals are also available, as well as the incredible experience of immersing yourself fully in these seas at the diving center, Centro Sub.

Moving on to Vettica Maggiore, the lavish and colorful majolica-tiled dome of the Church of San Gennaro immediately dominates your view. Here, every year between July 31 and August 4, Praiano “lights up” with the large number of enchanting candles lit for the feast of St. Dominic.

It is the “Luminaria di San Domenico”, an ancient tradition that aims to recreate the dream the Saint’s mother had before his birth of a dog with a torch, spreading light throughout the world.

Although the church of San Domenico is located in the upper part of the village, the piazza di San Gennaro has become the real heart of the festival: here the sparkling designs are recreated and the characteristic lanterns are released into the sky.

Heading down to the sea, Vettica Maggiore is home to the exclusive La Gavitella beach, with its efficient transportation services from Marina di Praia.

But the real value of this beach lies in its being the only one on the entire Amalfi Coast to enjoy every last ray of sunshine, from the first light of dawn until the final orange glow of the romantic sunset.

Numerous tiny churches are to be found throughout the entire region around the small village, while the picturesque streets and stairways studded with small shrines are evidence of the population’s great sense of devotion.

Praiano also offers an alternative hiking route for those who want to walk in nature without hiking the full Sentiero degli Dei, or “Path of the Gods”, uniting Agerola to the village of Positano higher up.

In recent years a fascinating initiative has been undertaken called, not surprisingly, “The sound of the Gods”. This event, which takes place mainly in the evenings between May and October, combines hiking with the chance to attend concerts of classical, modern or traditional music, where the “boxes” are spread along the route of the aforementioned path. acquisto auto usate tenute bene

Thus, Praiano offers many possibilities ranging from fun for your little ones on the playground to entertainment for young people at the numerous nightclubs. Plus let’s not forget the experiences to be had by adults in the serenity and tranquility that has always characterized this delightful village.

It is likewise unthinkable to visit this region and not savor its culinary delights, starting with Migliaccio, a kind of frittata of mixed pasta, semolina, sausage and cheese; and then moving on to a rich dish of totani [squids], stuffed or accompanied by potatoes; and finally to the typical coastal products such as Limoncello and Pastiera.

POSITANO
Praiano’s central location on the Amalfi Coast make it the ideal point of departure for visiting the pearls of the coast. The closest one is clearly Positano. It is a village just over 10 km away by car, a short drive to discover what lies behind the bold and legendary beauty of the village.

Begin by exploring the interweaving of mythology and legend against a religious background that is the history of Positano. Travel the waters of Ulysses and of the sailors who were caught in a terrible storm while transporting the Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary, an event that gave the village its name.

Finally, relive the numerous Saracen attacks that led Positano to build its imposing Saracen Towers. It is a journey through time amongst the fragrance of lemons, the taste of the dishes provided by the magnificent sea and the bewitching song of sirens.

AMALFI
A short trip of 10 km by car brings you to the other side and the real heart of the entire coast, which not surprisingly gives it its name: Amalfi. This ancient Maritime Republic embodies the great historical and artistic riches which are absolutely not to be missed.

These include the extraordinary Amalfi Cathedral (Cattedrale di Sant’Andrea), a real exultation of art embellished over the years by numerous artistic movements and the Amalfi Museum of Paper and the paper mills that still produce high-quality paper today.

It is impossible to think of exploring the city without learning the fundamental role the sea has had over the years: the history of Amalfi is closely linked to it, as one can see from the Tabula Amalfitana and the first text in the history of Maritime Law conserved, not surprisingly, at the Municipal Museum of Amalfi.

RAVELLO
Just a 30 minutes’ drive brings you to the enchanting Ravello, a city of music and a homeland of the spirit. Ravello owes its fame to the particularity of having kept its original medieval appearance over the years, which you will find all around you in the streets and piazzas throughout the entire village.

Making Ravello even more charming are the many villas spread out around the region, in particular Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone.

These villas, rich in gardens and decorated with lush vegetation, exude a particular beauty from their splendid terraces, adorned with statues and monuments and offering simply stunning views. Make sure you don’t miss the Ravello Festival, a music event that every year accompanies the town’s hot summer evenings

FURORE
Although the true heart of the town of Furore can be reached by car in a little less than half an hour, its greatest attraction is just 3 km from Praiano.

Furore, also known for the works that artists reproduce on the outer walls of the houses in the city center, owes its fame to the Fjord, a cleft which penetrates the rocky cliffs until it finally reaches the sea, creating a typical dolomite scene.

Clinging to the rocky walls, lush vegetation and old fishermen’s houses cascade towards the small characteristic beach below the Fjord. Such spectacular scenery has repeatedly been the set of famous movies, most notably Rossellini’s L’Amore.
