Inspired by traditional Malay architecture, while preserving the sanctity of its natural surroundings, Villa Samadhi Kuala Lumpur offers some of the city’s most luxurious spaces for an exclusive retreat.
Situated in an upscale neighbourhood just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Villa Samadhi offers an immediate respite to restore one’s soul.
Carefully crafted within a ‘Rustic-luxe’ concept, a sense of peace pervades in each of the 21 distinctive villas, which spans 600 square-feet to over 2,000 square-feet of living space. Our villas are accented with a collage of elements to create a raw yet sophisticated Asian dwelling.
All ground-floor units are built alongside an expansive freeform pool allows direct access into the water. Be it a private whirlpool or a private balcony, each retreat exudes its own distinct character and charm.
At Villa Samadhi, the use of wood, glass, black cement, stone and bamboo render a simplistic and rustic design foundation to its minimalistic style. The embossing, layering and composition of these raw and natural materials, complemented with landscapes of water and fire, add an edge in creating a unique sense of place.
An idyllic suite perfect for a retreat, there are only two of these rooms available within the villa. Unwind and recharge in our high rise beds or soak in the sun by the window on the day bed, either way the crib offers a secluded sanctuary.
One of the largest rooms in the city, the luxe crib plays with space – a crucial element in our room designs. There are nine of these units available, but no two luxe cribs are the same. One of the defining features of the luxe crib is its whirlpool, designed for ultimate luxury and privacy while exuding a quiet sensuality.
With beautifully appointed interiors, our Sarangs are your home away from home. There are four of these boutique suites in the villa, and each feature a dinstinctive open-air, timber-floored balcony.
A garden fully equipped with its own plunge pool welcomes you before you step into this luxurious urban nest. There are five of these private villas within Villa Samadhi. The defining feature of the Luxe Sarang is its patio that offers we direct access to the pool.
The one and only room exceptional to this design. The Loft lends its name from its pyramid-ceiling structure.
This ‘nest’ has a spectacular feature of a plunge pool with a far-reaching view of the surrounding neighbourhood, including a glimpse of the Petronas Twin Towers. The Loft is the essence of contemporary comfort, and possibly the most unique honeymoon suite in all of Kuala Lumpur.
Water is intrinsic to the design element of our villas, and at the heart of the resort lies the Lagoon, aptly described as the “life zone” of the villa. This free-form pool is the perfect spot to bask in the sun, in the company of your loved one, in ode to relaxation and harmony.
THE DINING ROOM
Set beneath a soaring ceiling, and overlooking the villa, the circular Dining Room sits on the edge of the “Lagoon” This all day dining room, exclusively for residents only, serves local and western cuisine made from local and seasonal produce.

Our properties are designed and built within a philosophy that invites our guests into a state of mind that is called Samadhi. In Sanskrit, Samadhi is the highest state of meditation – the moment when the mind achieves stillness, a state of meditative consciousness.
Samadhi Retreats aims to deliver a transcendent experience where anxieties of daily life are surrendered at our doors and guests transition to a relaxed state of mind. Our properties are located in destinations that offer unique choices set in unexpected locations across Asia.
Thoughtfully designed to complement their natural settings, the intentionally exclusive Samadhi destinations are renowned for invoking a sense of space and serve as a form of escape for the urban traveller.
At Samadhi Retreats, we value sustainability, underlying our commitment towards preserving our surroundings. We build responsibly, operate eco-consciously while drawing inspiration from a sense of place.
Our properties are crafted with deliberation using strong overtones of natural materials, with the use of salvaged timber, essentially creating what we call ‘Rustic-Luxe’.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the design philosophy of Villa Samadhi, playing a significant role in enhancing the local environment.
With the liberal use of bamboo and other local materials sourced from “Orang Asli” (indigenous tribes in Malaysia), to bamboo and wood carpentry handmade by Villa Samadhi’s own craftsmen, we integrate conservation and community into our environment.
Within the property, explore a collection of colourful Southeast Asian hilltribe fabrics and antiques, which add a contrast to its rustic exterior. Explore the categories of the villas and suites as you begin to choose the canvas of your luxurious escape.
