Our one and only Camden Harbor Suite marks the pinnacle of luxury at 16 Bay View and maintains the most commanding ocean view of all of our rooms and suites because of its premier corner location.

Located on our top floor, this spacious and thoughtfully appointed suite with exposed original brickwork, includes two rooms; a bedroom with a King size bed featuring Serta’s® premium “Presidential Suite” pillow-top mattress and high thread count Cuddledown® sheets and pillows, and a separate living room with a pull out sofa sleeper.

DELUXE KING – ADA ACCESSIBLE
Universal ADA SymbolLocated on our first floor, lobby level, this spacious Deluxe ADA Accessible guest room features a King Serta® premium “Presidential Suite” pillow-top mattress and high thread count Comphy® sheets and Cuddledown® pillows.

The large ADA Accessible spa-inspired bathroom features a large roll-in shower with shower wand, and a low sided step-in deep soaking bathtub with grab bars. Bathroom also features grab bars around the toilet, radiant floor heat, and a two-sink granite vanity, accessible by wheelchair.

High ceilings, a cozy gas fireplace, 40” HD LCD TV, and a large ornamental iron balcony, perfect for people watching over lively Commercial Street, are just a few of the highlights of our ADA Accessible Deluxe Guest Room with King bed. This room also features a door bell with an audible sound enunciator in the room to alert guests of someone at the door.

CAMDEN HARBOR LOFT
The newest addition to our property, Camden Harbor Loft is located on the top floor of the building next door to 16 Bay View and features breathtaking views of Camden Harbor and Camden Hills State Park.

Camden Harbor Loft is a stunning 2,500 square foot loft apartment with soaring ceilings, well-worn beams, and is the perfect blend of European style and Maine craftsmanship. The perfect choice for a family getaway, bridal suite, or exclusive couples retreat.

Enter into a ground floor foyer and up a flight of stairs to the second floor. Open the door and enter into a light filled open living area and kitchen. A large wall of windows showcase vies of Camden Harbor. The kitchen and bathrooms are all custom built and of the highest quality.

French doors in the living room open to a small deck; perfect for enjoying a view of harbor activities. The living room has a gas fireplace for cozy nights and beyond the living room curtained glass doors divide the master king suite from the living area.

The master suite also looks out over the public landing and Camden Harbor. The master bathroom includes a dressing room, tiled shower and large soaking tub. All details are considered including towel warming racks.

The two other bedroom/bath suites are located on the Bay View Street side of the loft. Each room is custom designed to make the most of natural wood and light. A stairway leads to a second floor den that overlooks the open living area. The den includes a flat screen television and large sectional sofa.

The Camden Harbor Loft requires a 3-night minimum stay and offers limited hotel and housekeeping service. Pets are not allowed in this unit. Other restrictions may apply.

THE BREAKFAST
Breakfast at 16 Bay View is included with your stay. Served buffet-style each morning, join us for a creative, healthy, and memorable start to your day.

Featuring fresh-made quiche or hard boiled eggs, a selection of house-made artisan pastries, a yogurt, fruit and home-made granola station, whole and sliced seasonal fruit, fresh local bagels, and a selection of breads and spreads. To drink you’ll find a selection of juices and fresh brewed Carrabassett Valley coffee.

Gluten Free options are always available, so please ask as we are more than happy to accommodate your dietary restrictions. Our breakfast staff are thoroughly trained in proper food handling and sanitization procedures to provide you a worry free and delicious breakfast experience.

VINTAGE ROOM RESTAURANT
Located on the first floor of the hotel, Vintage Room is 16 Bay View’s cozy and elegant lobby bar and small plates restaurant. Grab a seat at the bar, dine at a granite-topped table, or settle into a plush leather couch by the fire.

Conceived for both work and play, our twist on this communal space includes complimentary Wi-Fi, a discreet glimpse of lively Bay View Street, and the friendliest bartenders in Camden.

Once you are ready to see and be seen, ascend to the top floor of our hotel and enjoy The View. Camden’s iconic rooftop bar and terrace, The View, features over 2,000 square feet of cinematic views of Camden Harbor and the surrounding Camden Hills State Park.

16 Bay View is where travel and fitness go hand-in-hand. All hotel guests receive complimentary access to the nearby Penobscot Bay YMCA, the mid-coast’s premier health & fitness facility. The Pen Bay YMCA is just over a mile from our hotel, allowing guests an easy and convenient way to stay fit while on the road.

Guests interested in obtaining complimentary access passes to the YMCA during their stay should inquire and reserve their passes with our front desk staff. Passes will be issued to you when you are ready to head up to the YMCA. After your workout, you will want to return your passes back to the front desk. It’s as simple as that!

DOG FRIENDLY
We love dogs and realize that more and more travelers are taking their beloved pets with them. That is why we are welcoming travelers with dogs with “open paws.”

Our Pampered Pooch Accommodations includes a comfortable and plush fleece dog bed, gourmet dog biscuits, water and food bowl, and an extensive list of local outdoor recreational activities for you and your pet to enjoy, doggy daycare options, and local veterinarians just in case something unexpected occurs.

To respect our other guests, we have a limit of two well behaved dogs per room (no size restrictions), and require that dogs not be left unattended at anytime in your room and be kept on leash in all public areas. Guests will be asked to sign and adhere to our pet policies and etiquette upon arrival and check-in.

Marianne W. Smith is a self-taught artist who strives to express in her oil on canvas paintings the mood, warmth, and light of a scene as she sees it.

Marianne W. Smith’s permanent gallery is located at the Lord Camden Inn with her work on display in our lobby, conference and dining rooms. Marianne’s permanent gallery features over fifty new works reflecting her interest in still lifes and landscapes.

FARNSWORTH ART MUSEUM 
Located a short distance south in the town of Rockland, the Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of American art in its elegantly appointed galleries.

Such great names in 18th- and 19th-century American art history as Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Sully, Thomas Eakins, Eastman Johnson, Fitz Hugh Lane, Frank Benson, Childe Hassam, and Maurice Prendergast are represented in the museum’s permanent collection entitled Maine in America.

CENTER FOR MAINE CONTEMPORARY ART
The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is expanding its mission of advancing contemporary art in Maine. “We intend to be a leading voice throughout New England and beyond in the continuing dialogue on the art of our time.

We seek to provide a compelling physical platform for the presentation of work by significant artists—both well-known and emerging—connected with the state of Maine, who are part of the larger contemporary discourse.”

BAY CHAMBER CONCERTS
Founded in 1961 by brothers Andrew and Thomas Wolf, Bay Chamber Concerts features world-renowned artists year-round. Our Summer Concert Series and Music Festival in July and August feature over 30 events that redefine the standards for chamber music.

From September to June the Performing Arts Series features classical, jazz, world music and dance events in a variety of venues throughout the region.

CAMDEN OPERA HOUSE
Built in 1894, the Camden Opera House was once the tallest building in Knox County. The massive building was also home to several businesses and a businessman’s club.

Today, the Camden Opera House hosts a myriad of outstanding performances year-round including the Rockport Dance Conservatory, The Atlantic Ballet, musical concerts from top name artists, and the Camden International Film Festival.

OWLS HEAD TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM
The Owls Head Transportation Museum has one of the finest collections of pioneer-era aircraft and automobiles in the world. More than 100 historic aircraft, automobiles, bicycles, carriages and engines are on permanent display.

The Aircraft Collection contains replicas and originals representing the first century of flight. An outstanding collection of automobiles spans the late 19th Century and early 20th century, and includes the 1963 Prototype Mustang and a 1935 Stout Scarab.

MAINE LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM 
The Maine Lighthouse Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in lighthouses and American maritime history! From sparkling lenses to heartwarming stories of the keepers and families the Maine Lighthouse Museum is America’s lighthouse museum & home to the largest collection of lighthouse artifacts and mementoes.

Additional exhibits highlight stories of valor while paying tribute to the United States Coast Guard and United States Life-Saving Services, while others shed light on the lady lightkeepers.

SLOOP ANJACAA
A 54-foot sloop, built by Palmer Johnson and designed by Sparkman and Stephens. Anjacaa was built for racing and cruising with a centerboard rig, designed so that she could get into most Maine harbors at any tide. Anjacaa is the perfect boat for private charters — a chartered sail can last from two hours to all day or even overnight.

CAMDEN HILLS STATE PARK
Nearby Camden Hills State Park offers unlimited hiking opportunities with incredible views of Penobscot Bay and Megunticook Lake atop Mt. Battie and Mt. Megunticook. Not into hiking, then consider their auto road to the top of Mt. Battie where you can drive to the top for a small fee and take in the views.

CAMDEN SNOW BOWL 
The Camden Snow Bowl is a community owned ski and recreation area. From the summit of 1300′ Ragged Mountain, skiers and riders have an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding, there are many other winter activities available at the Snow Bowl.

A snow tubing slope provides fun for all family members, ice skating on Hosmer Pond and a thrilling 400′ toboggan chute. The National Toboggan Championships are held here the first weekend of February. There is also a cross country ski and snowshoeing trail available.
