Anadolu Hisarı Castle
The anatolian fortress is located in Beykoz (on the asian side) at the narrowest point of the bosphorus. It was built in 1395 by Beyazit and is made up of a citadel and its exterior castle walls. After the conquest of Istanbul, it lost much of its strategic importance and was converted into a military hospital.
Today waterfront houses and old mansions are dispersed among the castle’s ruins. During restoration work which lasted from 1991-1993 it was converted into a museum however it is not open to the public.
Today Anadolu Hisari is an open-air museum but only outer walls can be visited, and the road passes just through it. Anadolu Hisarı 5 minutes by car from Ajia hotel.
The Hidiv Pavilion
The Khedive’s summer palace (Turkish: Hidiv Kasrı) was commissioned by the Egyptian khedive, or viceroy, Abbas Hilmi Pasha in 1907 and designed and built by the Italian architech Deflo Seminati.
Designed as a villa along western lines, it draws attention for the marble fountain in the middle of its main entrance. The building plans were drawn in a circle around a pool with access to the various salons made by means of passageways between them.
Restored in 1996 by the Istanbul Greater Municipality, it was opened as a restaurant and cafe. Today it is used as a venue for various social functions.
Küçüksu Palace
Küçüksu Palace or Küçüksu Pavilion, aka Göksu Pavilion, (Turkish: Küçüksu Kasrı) is a summer palace in Istanbul, Turkey, situated in the Küçüksu neighborhood of Beykoz district on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus between Anadoluhisarı and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
The tiny palace was used by Ottoman sultans for short stays during country excursions and hunting.
Beylerbeyi Palace
The Beylerbeyi Palace (Turkish: Beylerbeyi Sarayı, Beylerbeyi meaning “Lord of Lords”) is located in the Beylerbeyi neighbourhood of Istanbul, Turkey at the Asian side of the Bosphorus. An Imperial Ottoman summer residence built in the 1860s, it is now situated immediately north of the Bosphorus Bridge.

The Maiden’s Tower (Turkish: Kız Kulesi), also known as Leander’s Tower (Tower of Leandros) since the medieval Byzantine period, is a tower lying on a small islet located at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait 200 m (220 yd) from the coast of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey.
The interior of the tower has been transformed into a popular café and restaurant, with an excellent view of the former Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman capital. Private boats make trips to the tower several times a day.
