There is an extensive garden where both children and their parents can enjoy quality time together – kids let off steam while the adults relax or engage in their own pursuits.
Of course there is also a natural pond.…and in the winter, on the other hand, the ski lifts start almost in front of the hotel entrance. The Skischool of Ortisei organised course to give children a first taste of skiing according to the motto “Learning by Playing”.
Apartments
Feature one bedroom, television, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a porch with view on town. The unique position on a small hill guarantees a special kind of quietness and a breathtaking view over the lovely Ortisei town.
Rainellhof is the ideal starting point for active adventures – wether it’s hiking tours in summer or skiing days in winter. The cable car of Alpe di Siusi is reachable easily by foot, in winter even directly by skiing. It will take you approximately 10 minutes to reach the centre of Ortisei with its unique shops and traditional restaurants.
Chalet
The Alpenhotel Rainell Chalets are spacious alpine lodges laid out over 40m2 and decorated in a pleasantly rustic tyrolean style. Our Chalets are located in a quiet corner of the garden 10 meters away from the main building, and have an independent entrance for added convenience and privacy.
In addition to the standard amenities, our Chalets are equipped with rainfall shower heads, plasma tv sets with satellite channels, and a cosy fireplace. Our Chalets are the perfect choice for an alpine getaway with an extra touch of luxury!
Pano Suite
The Pano Suites are the latest addition to our accommodation offer. These suites can accommodate 2-4 guests, have direct access to our beautifully landscaped gardens, and command expansive views to Ortisei and the lush valleys of Val Gardena.
The spacious and immaculately finished interiors feature hardwood floors, hypoallergenic mattresses, pillows, and furnishings, and dedicated seating ad living areas. Each suite has a fully furnished balcony.
Bio Suite
Our Bio Suites are bright and airy rooms that can accommodate anything between 2 and 5 guests, being a suitable choice for both families and couples in need of extra space.
These rooms boast a luxurious wooden construction, and as their name suggests they have been built with a focus in sustainability and comfort using eco-friendly materials and hypoallergenic furnishings.
All our Bio Suites face east so our guests get to enjoy the morning sun, and come with a private balcony that offers panoramic views over the spectacular Sella mountain group.
Alpen Mini Suite
Featuring a double and a single bed, our Alpen Mini Suites are perfectly equipped to accommodate up to 4 guests. These spacious rooms are arranged over 30-35 m² and offer a choice between carpeted or wooden floors.
These rooms boast a partition that separates living and sleeping areas, a private balcony, and a private bathroom with shower over bath tub, hair dryer, and complimentary toiletries.
Superior Rooms
Our Superior rooms are located in the main building and offer easy access to all of the hotel’s facilities. These rooms can accommodate 2-3 guests and feature wooden accents throughout (including elegant solid wood floors), a private balcony with either town or mountain views, satellite tv, and a comfortable seating area.
Mountain Pool
When you stay at Hotel Rainell you will not need to choose between having a relaxing swim or enjoying our spectacular mountain setting. Our Mountain Pool area features a c-shaped indoor pool and it is located to offer panoramic views over Ortisei and our beautiful valley.
Relax Zone
At our dedicated Relax Zone we have elevated relaxation to an art. This spacious area is equipped with large and ultra-comfortable water beds, soft lighting, and ergonomically designed loungers to guarantee a restful relaxation session. Scenic views to Ortisei are complimentary!

Walking Tour
We can reach the Alpe di Siusi, the largest cultivated plateu on Central Europa by a modern cableway (2005 m). From the top station, a few steps to the right, up to a grassy terrace where a broad, imperceptibly descending path runs west, which gets narrower after the wooded area, below the Contrin hut drops to the Hotel Icaro.
From there we reach within ¼ hr the Gasthof Ritsch, easy reconized by its extensions at the paved winding road. From the Jender valley we arrived directly to the Hotel. Walking time: about 4 hours.

Categorisation according to physical fitness, technique, experience, and landscape allows you to filter individual tours ranging from exciting family hikes to challenging mountain treks for tenacious hikers.

The special features of this app include many tips given about the hikes. In addition to a description of how get there, there are instructions on how to arrive via public transport.
South Tyrol Trekking Guide includes walks and mountain hikes in all regions in South Tyrol. In addition, the app offers a detailed weather forecast with mountain weather data, including temperature, at 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 metres in altitude.
