A wellness holiday with art. Why do we place so much importance on art? Because one key value applies whether it’s art, atmosphere or how we greet our guests, friends and artists. The Naudererhof – the relaxing way to discover art (and the art of living)!

ROOMS & SUITES
All ‘alpine:design’ rooms and suites have a common thread: a contemporary interpretation of our home’s traditional residential architecture with new accents. We’ve redesigned each room type in the hotel together with local artists from Terra Raetica, dedicating each one to themes associated with our way of life.

Our new alpine:design rooms and suites at the Naudererhof are NEW & fresh (rooms: berg:art, art:tyrol, zirb:art, dolce:vita, suite:alpine, de:luxe family suite and grand:alpine family suite). Featuring a modern design with authentic materials, contemporary colours and special artistic elements, we have created new spaces for your unique wellness holiday with us.

DINING
Enjoyment is a well-rounded affair in the border triangle! You can tell from the cuisine, which is particularly varied. As part of our three nation grenzARTig cuisine, we invite you each day to embark on a cross-border culinary journey through the Swiss Engadin, the South Tyrolean Vinschgau and Tyrolean ‘Obere Gricht’.

Your table will play host to countless typical local specialities prepared to recipes handed down through generations. The Naudererhof GenussART menu doesn’t just taste delicious, it’s also responsible towards resources and our environment.

We cook with fresh, natural and healthy ingredients, primarily local produce, and place great importance on gentle preparation. For enjoyment without remorse!

As well as our homemade grenzARTig cuisine – a fine culinary journey through Terra Raetica (the border triangle where Austria, Switzerland and Italy meet) – we’ll pamper you each evening with light wellness dishes, our own children’s menu and fresh daily salad bars rich in vitamins.

The Naudererhof kitchen team works with herbalists Rose-Marie and Barbara Waldegger to constantly come up with new, delicious creations for you.

Just one look and you’ll be starving: each morning, you’re greeted by a rich luxurious buffet that lets you dig in to your heart’s content. Choose from sweet treats and hearty delicacies – you won’t walk away empty-bellied. A balanced breakfast with high-quality local produce lets you begin your action-packed day relaxed.

Wherever possible, we source products for our breakfast buffet locally: cheese and yoghurt come from Nauders or South Tyrol. Bread and baked goods come from our local bakery in Nauders.

Crisp apples come from our longstanding suppliers in the Vinschgaz and Tyrol’s Oberland. We place particular importance on the quality and freshness of our food: you’ll taste the difference.

Enjoyment isn’t just a matter of taste, but also ambience: culinary delights taste even better in a cosy ambience. You can also really enjoy the best of the vine and the hop in tasteful surroundings. At the Alpine ART & SPA Hotel NAUDERERHOF, you can expect three bars to treat all the senses: Here’s to a cosy night in!

NAUDERSBERG CASTLE
Naudersberg was first recorded as the residence of Herr von Nauders in 1239. It was home to a princely court since around 1300, then a castle was built. During the Engadin war under Herzog Siegmund and Kaiser Maximilian 1st, the castle was expanded to include outlying estates, rondelles, round towers and battlements.

FORT NAUDERS
Fort Nauders was constructed between 1834 and 1840 on the pass over Reschen near to the Medieval Niklasmauer. It’s an imposing five-storey stone rectangle with arrow slits built to block the road to protect the Inntal Valley from possible troop invasions from Lombardy or the Engadin.

KAISERSCHUTZENWEG
The revitalised Kaiserschützenweg was built during the First World War and leads from Fort Nauders for around 2km, ascending and descending around 500m in altitude, through the woods to the battlements, passing dilapidated posts and rock caverns big enough to explore. There is an informative memorial on the Kaiserschützen at Fort Nauders.

HISTORICAL BORDER CONTROL
In 1936-1942, the Reschen border saw comprehensive lines of defence, complete with bunkers, command posts, tanks, barracks and supply roads to offer protection from invasion by Hitler’s Germany. The work was continued under the strictest secrecy even after Italy’s official joining of the Allies.

ALTFINSTERMUNZ FORTRESS
A path into the past begins at Fort Nauders! The old road is steep, reaching the Inn at Finstermünz. There is a small chapel, the old toll house and ‘Sigismundseck’ built by Herzog Sigismund, which looks like it’s been stuck to the rock. In the middle of the Inn, there is an old tower with a wooden bridge.

SAMMAUN & LIVIGNO
Samnaun (Switzerland) and Livigno (Italy) are both known for their duty-free shopping. You’ll find many shops full of high-end brands, trends & more.

MERAN
This spa town in South Tyrol is sure to impress with Alpine-Mediterranean atmosphere. Meran’s Old Town invites you to mooch around its small boutiques and shops. Highlights include the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the thermal baths and various museums, stately homes and castles.

WEEKLY MARKETS
Markets are still a huge tradition in South Tyrol today. At the rich, varied weekly markets in the Vinschgau, you’ll find local specialities, clothes and traditional goods from local sellers.

INNSBRUCK
In Innsbruck, you’ll find sights such as the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace, the Hofgarten park and the Alpenzoo. Stroll along Maria-Theresien- Straße through the historic Old Town with views of the gorgeous Alpine panorama.

CRYSTAL WORLDS
Swarovski Crystal Worlds is a popular excursion destination near Innsbruck. Artful installations are sure to impress indoors as well as in the expansive gardens. Marvel at the magic of crystals.
