The architectural design of the ALPINA DOLOMITES is also inspired by nature: buildings made from wood, stone and glass in an aesthetically pleasant mix with cosy interiors, built with a focus on ecological sustainability and low energy consumption, and perfectly inserted in the environment.

IMMERSED IN NATURE
We wanted to create a hotel that would harmoniously blend into the natural surroundings. To do this we used natural materials and an architectural design inspired by the various forms of nature.

The interior of the ALPINA DOLOMITES, designed according to the same concept, is bathed in light and incredibly cosy, comfortable and elegant.

A CHARMING LOCATION
The ALPINA DOLOMITES LODGE is located on the Alpe di Siusi, Europe’s largest high-altitude plateau, surrounded by a truly unique natural setting and a spectacular view of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Lodge is located in Compatsch (1860 m), at the western end of the plateau, near the mountain station of the Siusi-Alpe di Siusi cableway. Compatsch is 33 km from Bolzano, above the famous villages of Siusi allo Sciliar and Castelrotto.

SKIING ON THE ALPE DI SIUSI
What else can you expect from a winter vacation? The Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomiti Superski circuit offers lots of opportunities to go skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

Ski slopes and lifts, a snow park, unrivalled in all of South Tyrol, as well as beautiful and extensive cross-country tracks are right in front of the Alpina Dolomites.

A TOP-FLIGHT VACATION ON THE SNOW
The Dolomiti Superski ski circuit, with its 460 lifts and cableways and 1220 km of slopes, is the gateway to the entire Dolomites region.

The Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena ski district alone has 84 lifts and cableways and 175 km of perfectly prepared and snow-covered slopes to match the skill level of any and all skiers, from ski school areas for beginners to World Cup downhill runs.

On the Alpe di Siusi – Seiser Alm, with its 60 km of perfectly prepared slopes plus ultramodern lifts, fun on the snow in a magnificent landscape is absolutely guaranteed.

Another amazing experience is the famous Sella Ronda circuit where you can ski around the massive Sella group surrounded by a captivating landscape. The Gherdëina Skiring route is just as interesting and you’ll really enjoy the ski tour of the Alpe di Siusi.

Four times a week our ski instructor will accompany you along the most beautiful Dolomite ski itineraries. (1st day free, 2nd, 3rd and 4th day with small additional charge. Only for adult and expert skiers.)

Reserve your ski course (group courses with the Ski & Snowboard Schools) at the Alpina Dolomites. Our ski instructor will be pleased to advise you on the courses and to provide you with information about the ski excursions and the slopes.

SKI RENTAL & SKI SERVICE
The Lodge has a ski rental and maintenance centre. At the Alpina Dolomites ski rental office you can rent downhill and cross-country skis, snowboards, ski boots, snowshoes and sleds.

We also offer an excellent ski preparation and maintenance service. We suggest that you book your ski equipment together with your room. In that way, you’ll find everything you need in the box reserved for you when you arrive.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING ON THE ALPE DI SIUSI
On the Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites you’ll find the healthiest and most exciting opportunities to practice this sport. More than 60 km of perfectly groomed tracks twist and turn through a scenic wonderland of rare beauty.

Here you’ll find the track that’s just right for you and a large number of runs with varying degrees of difficulty. All skiers have to do is decide on the pace or style: classic or skating.

In addition to perfectly prepared tracks there is also an excellent cross-country ski school with highly qualified instructors. The Alpina Dolomites also has a fully equipped ski rental service, where you can rent the latest models of skis and ski boots.

SNOWSHOE HIKES – A DREAM WINTER LANDSCAPE
Far from the slopes, you’ll be thrilled by a truly unique experience: immersed in silence broken only by the sounds of nature, you’ll walk through an uncontaminated countryside, conquering the world as in olden times – on foot.

Hiking on snowshoes is a new and fun way of experiencing the mountains. On snowshoes it will be easy to reach panoramic sites that, in the winter, were inaccessible for hikers.

No particular skills are needed to walk on fresh snow and it’s relatively easy to move around. Our expert guide will accompany you on excursions to discover secret landscapes, in the muffled silence of the mountains in their winter guise.

The Alpe ranges in altitude from 1850 m to 2350 m and, extending over 57 km² of meadows and woods, is cross-crossed by a network of well-groomed trails that reveal a different and enchanting panoramic view with each step.

MOUNTAIN BIKING ON THE MAGIC WORLD OF THE DOLOMITES 
The Alpe di Siusi varied scenic landscape is also a paradise for mountain bike lovers: Alpine touring aficionados will enjoy a wide variety of ambiences ranging from luxuriant meadows and shady forest paths to demanding high-altitude trails.

The bicycle is the most widely cherished, easy to use and ecological means of transport and the best way to move freely and quickly around nature: but never too fast that you can’t admire all the scenic beauty. The Alpina Dolomites provides guests with name-brand mountain bikes in perfect condition for first-class pedalling!

GOLF IN THE DOLOMITES
The St. Vigil Seis 18-hole golf course in the Dolomites at the foot of the Sciliar, surrounded by blooming meadows and green fir woods, is a real gem that will amaze all those who love this fascinating sport.

A harmonious part of the magnificent scenic countryside of the Dolomites, the course extends over approximately 60 hectares on a plateau at an altitude of 850 m. It offers everything a golfer could ever ask for: long fairways, easy layouts and a wide variety of holes surrounded by idyllic lakes, gorges, streams and enchanting waterfalls.

The course includes a driving range, putting green and chipping greens, plus a pitching green. The spacious driving range, with 32 covered tees over two levels for a total length of 260 m, offers effective practice in the heart of an incredible scenic landscape. Here, practicing is a real pleasure!

Golf lessons and courses with the Golf School director Daniel Schütz, a PGA-certified professional golfer. Special introductory golf courses are offered for beginners along with try-out lessons for anyone interested in beginning this fascinating sport.
