BONVITAL SUITE
Our Bonvital suite is 43 m2 in size and awaits its guests with premium luxury, exclusive decoration, and an outstanding terrace providing a brilliant view of Hévíz and the pedestrian street. The suite is equipped with a comfortable double bed, an elegant sofa bed, a relaxing jacuzzi, a shower and a bidet. Bonvital Suite bed size: 180×210 cms.

DELUXE SUITE
Our deluxe suites are 42-47 m2 in size and are capable of accommodating up to 4 people comfortably. The deluxe suites consist of 2 separate rooms, furnished with comfortable beds in the bedroom and an elegant sofa bed in the living room. Both rooms are equipped with a large-screen LCD TV.

JUNIOR SUITE
Our junior suites are 31-40 m2 in size and provide comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. Junior suites are single-space, furnished with a bed that can be pulled apart and an elegant sofa bed.

DELUXE ROOM
Our deluxe rooms are 22-28 m2 in size, with a French balcony facing the pedestrian street. The spacious Deluxe Rooms, designed to fulfill all needs, are located on the first and second floors of our hotel. Most rooms are furnished with a bed that can be pulled apart, while some rooms offer a double bed.

SAUNA WORLD

The salt brick infra cabin can also help eliminate concentration and sleeping disorders

Finnish sauna 100 and 70 degree Celsius The hot, dry air helps destroy bacteria and viruses, while perspiration can help purge toxins and excreta through the skin. The sauna has many physiological effects: it improves circulation, helps restore vascular function, strengthens the heart and boosts the resistance of the body – therefore it helps prevent flu and common colds, while boosting the beauty of the skin (making it younger and more flexible), mitigating muscle strain and easing stress. It boosts circulation, thanks to which the body is supplied with more oxygen, allowing it to relax and regenerate with more ease. The sauna is a source of both prevention and healing.

Steam Cabin The steam cabin establishes fundamentally different conditions than a sauna; this is a sweat cabin with a relaxing, revitalizing effect that also boosts your health and makes your skin healthier and more beautiful. It functions the most effectively at a temperature of 43-46 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of at least 80-100%. The heat makes the body sweat in its effort to retain its internal temperature. However, it is so hot inside the steam cabin that despite profuse perspiration, the body temperature is still 1-1.5 degrees Celsius higher than normally. This leads to accelerated circulation, increased pulse rate and reduced blood pressure thanks to the enlarged blood vessels.

INFRA SAUNA
The infra sauna is a sauna perfect for everyday use. Not only can an infra sauna help you warm up on winter days, it also helps boost your health and beauty with repeated visits in the winter and summer period.

The infra sauna can help purge the body from toxins. As well as shedding water, perspiration can also cleanse the body from toxic substances accumulated in the body and skin. Sweating activates the lymphatic system that removes the toxins and acids built up in body fat. These are purged from the body through enlarged pores, while sweating also washes toxins and dirt out of the deeper layers of the skin.

The infra sauna beautifies the skin and helps reduce cellulitis. As toxins and excreta are purged from the skin with sweating, the skin becomes cleaner than after a simple shower. In the meantime, the skin becomes more flexible, smoother and tighter. This way, it helps counter cellulitis.

The infra sauna can also boost the immune system. Sauna use warms up the body, inducing a kind of “artificial fever”. This induces a protective response from the body. We sweat to give off heat and our lymphatic system kicks in to secrete the accumulated toxins. Thanks to this regular “exercise” and the lack of toxins, your immune system can work more efficiently.

The infra sauna strengthens vessel walls, making them more flexible. However, perspiration isn’t the only way for you to protect yourself against unusual, excess heat. The expansion and contraction of vessels have a beneficial effect on maintaining healthy circulation.

According to studies, a half hour spent in the sauna burns more calories than through intensive exercise. However, in itself, sauna use is no replacement for exercise and does not help weight loss! Still, it feels great to visit the sauna after a workout, while boosting the effect of the workout.

The infra sauna reduces stress. While using the sauna, various conditions (that we often fail to consciously realize) are reduced and we have time to focus on ourselves, while soothing our body and soul, thus becoming more balanced and level-headed.

MEDICAL SPA
Our Medical Spa facility features traditional Hévíz medicinal cures that can be applied subsequent to a medical examination. The indications of these treatments include locomotor diseases, rheumatologic, orthopedic diseases and traumatology conditions.

THE LEGEND AND HISTORY OF LAKE HÉVÍZ
Lake Hévíz is one of the world’s unique natural lakes, a true wonder of the town and of Hungary. According to the legend, Virgin Mary made the water flow onto the surface from the depths of the earth in order to heal a paralyzed child by the welling-up hot water and the steaming mud. Consequently, due to the natural healing effects of the spring, the child recovered and later became an Eastern Roman Emperor known as Flavius Theodosius.

For that reason, based on the legend the curative effects of Lake Hévíz were already known by the Romans. This is demonstrated by certain coins from the lake dated back to that time period, which were found by divers in the beginning of the 1980s, as well as by an altar stone found near the lake.

Migration Period discoveries also suggest that the Germanic and Slavic populations turned up here and used the lake. The first written record of Hévíz was found in a charter of 1328.

The formation of the lake can be traced back to ancient times. At the end of the Pannon Period, named after its sea, volcanoes broke the surface of Transdanubia. The first signs of post-volcanic activities were wilderness and the break-out of the ancient Hévíz spring.

During the movement of the Earth’s crust, two ditch systems were formed, where rainfall was collected. Lake Balaton got its shape this way about 22 thousand years ago, which marked the beginning of the history of Hévíz Thermal Lake too.

The warmth radiated by from the deeper layers of the Earth’s crust heats up the groundwater gathered into the underground storage system formed during the Pannon Period, thus the water of the lake is heated by geothermal energy.

The traditional therapy of Hévíz, in its present sense, also has a more than 200 years old history. Ferenc Szláby, who was a physicist and the chief medical officer in County Zala, published the first study about the lake in 1769.

The Festetics Family, who took possession of the spring and its surrounding area in the middle of the 18th century, played a significant role in developing and popularizing the baths. Mainly, Count George Festetics I made the bathing culture flourish, he built up the bathhouses with determination.

THE THERMAL BATH
The thermal lake of Hévíz awaits its visitors all year round. It’s a perfect destination for those who wish to relax and want be healed. An admission ticket must be purchased to enter the lake bath.

An indoor bathing area was already built on Lake Hévíz in the 1700s with the intention of allowing patients to bathe in the winter or in case of bad weather. Today’s indoor baths give place to medicinal treatments and a wellness section.

Our indoor SPA offers complex cure packages built on balneotherapy, which can be used following a medical consultation. The therapies and treatments of the medical specialists working in Hévíz are world-famous and are proved to have effective results in curing rheumatic and musculoskeletal complaints. There are 9 indoor pools – with various diagnostic units and treatment options – available at the Therapy Centre.

In the pools with 32-38 ⁰C water, physiotherapy, weight bath, sitting bath and hot tub units were established, where experienced therapists, physiotherapists and masseurs provide assistance to those who want to get cured. Thanks to the medicinal water and mud of Hévíz, the treatments, in a unique way, can reduce or eliminate the symptoms of patients with rheumatic diseases for months.
