Cabosse, Suites & Spa is hidden away in a quiet area behind the former courthouse. Situated just outside the Leien, yet close to everything. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy “old school service” whether for an overnight stay, afternoon tea or (simply) an aperitif. At Cabosse hospitality, in all aspects of the word, is held in high esteem.

This spacious, stately mansion, which dates from 1864, has been transformed by your hosts Riad and Filip into an elegant high-end exclusive hotel for connoisseurs. They have travelled the world to find the perfect furnishings and décor objects for the stylishly decorated rooms, giving Cabosse a colonial feel with an Asian twist.

The four luxurious double suites, each with their own theme and corresponding décor can be reached via the lift or the broad, elegant staircase. Each suite provides a comfortable lounge area, a desk, a large king size bed with VI-spring mattress, and a separate Japanese toilet. The bathroom features both a marble bath and a generous shower.

In the unique maxi-bar there is a wide selection of wines, Belgian beers, soft drinks and snacks. As well as the four grand suites, Cabosse also offers a wine bar, afternoon tea and a wellness.

Queens Suite
The glorious Queens suite is situated on the first floor. This spacious double room radiates sheer class, thanks in part to the authentic fireplace with golden mirror.

The feeling of space is accentuated by the high ceilings and graceful moulding, and the pagoda shaped chandeliers create a slight oriental feeling. The small balcony overlooks Sanderusstraat, yet is far enough away from the bustle of city life below.

Askoy Suite
The Askoy suite is on the first floor, and is named after the boat in which Jacques Brel sailed to the Marquesas Islands. Two original pieces of the hull from Askoy II can be found in this room, and the stark and sober interior design gives the feeling of a sailboat. A big window connects the study with the lounge. This suite has a large African wood terrace with a fantastic view of the garden.

Thompson Suite
This luxurious room is full of character, and pays homage to Jim Thompson, the legendary American who lived in Thailand and was the reputable founder of the Thai Silk Company.

You can identify this quality silk in the curtains, which reach all the way from the high ceilings to the sturdy wooden floor. In the lounge area you can make use of the glass desk or cocoon yourself with your partner in the intimate sofa. The lounge area can be separated from the sleeping area by a partition wall, creating a feeling of privacy.

Moonwalker Suite
The Moonwalker suite is situated on the third, and highest, floor of the guesthouse. This isn’t called the Moonwalker suite for nothing: the real Borselino that the king of pop, Michael Jackson wore in the film hangs in this room.

This is a cosy and romantic room, decorated and furnished in bright, fresh colours, giving a light and airy feel. Here you bathe literally and figuratively underneath a starlit sky. On the mezzanine there is a separate workspace, and you can enjoy garden views from the private terrace.

Riad’s Winebar
Cabosse also houses Riad’s wine bar, a lounge area which opens out onto the terrace with a lovely view of the garden. This is the place to indulge yourself with a good glass of wine, accompanied by relaxing classical or jazz music.

As well as the elaborate wine menu with wines from the four corners of the world, you can also enjoy a regularly changing selection of quality wines per glass, specially selected by your host Riad, a impassioned sommelier and wine instructor.

Riad’s wine bar is certainly worth a detour for an aperitif before you leave for dinner, or as the ideal place to relax after lunch. Between 2pm and 5pm it is also possible to enjoy here an exquisite afternoon high tea or a delightful glass of champagne.

Wine Tasting & Courses
Your host Riad Hoxhaxhiku holds the title Maître Sommelier. In 2001 he was crowned “Wine World Taster of the Year” and won third prize “best sommelier of Belgium”. In 2003 Riad came second in the competition “Best sommelier of Belgium – Ruinart trophy”.

Driven by his passion for wine, Riad travels the globe looking for new discoveries. With wine courses and thematic wine tastings, Riad gladly shares this knowledge and expertise with his guests. If you would like to enjoy this unique experience, please reserve in advance.

Private Dining
An intimate diner with friends, family or colleagues in a cosy setting, here at Cabosse you’re at the right place. The beautifully decorated dining room complete with Venetian chandelier and Thai silk wallpaper provides the perfect setting for an exclusive evening “private dining”.

On request we can offer small groups (up to 10 people) a pure food menu, accompanied by the appropriate quality wine from sommelier Riad’s wine cellar.

Garden & Pool House
The garden and wellness facilities are available to guests staying in the hotel, or to those booking a private wellness package. Totally unwind in the pool house’s sauna and Haman, and relax on the sundeck of the adjacent bamboo garden or immerse yourself in the natural swimming pond.

In the summer house at the end of the garden you can cut yourself off completely from the rest of the world, either with your partner or your favourite book. Non-residents can reserve the wellness in a high tea package or champagne arrangement.
