The majority of the hotel was demolished and during the year of 2005, was re-designed, re-constructed and re-opened. Upon fully re-opening in February 2006, the “new” Coyaba Beach Resort consisted of eighty (80) guestrooms, expanded central facilities and dining areas.
Over time, general operational adjustments were made and in October 2017, the resort completed its renovations of all its bedrooms and bathrooms.
Now, after over three decades in operation, Coyaba continues to be spearheaded by the new generations of the Cherman family and while property improvements and changes will continue through the years, the deep-rooted family component and superior customer service remains constant.
We are extremely proud to have many of our guests share in our resort’s history; as their families continue to visit the property generation after generation.

Grenada and its sister island Carriacou are a diver’s dream! Snorkel the World’s First Underwater Sculpture Park or dive one of our many wrecks – including the largest wreck in the Caribbean. The many walls and reefs provide excellent underwater exploration.
All our rooms overlook the picturesque Garden. Some rooms also offer mesmerizing pool and ocean views. The 80 guest rooms are in 8 blocks of two floors each in our expansive Garden Resort, housed in pavilion-style buildings scattered throughout 5.5 acres of lush grounds.
The tropical fashioned accommodations at Coyaba Beach Resort offers one king-size bed or two double-size beds, calming earth-tones, striking artwork and sitting area.
Our magnificent coral reefs, full of colour and life, are perfect for snorkelers. Snorkel or dive our Underwater Sculpture Park or if you want to go deeper, try one of our many shipwrecks. Grenada is home to the largest wreck in the Caribbean, the Bianca C – a 600ft Italian liner which caught fire and sank over 50 years ago.
