LA MUÑA
Muña is a simple but magical plant, used in Peru to relieve the ills associated with high altitude. It is the ideal ally for living in the mountains and venturing to summits. So no surprise that the Peruvian and Asian-inspired restaurant at the Crans Ambassador – offering a breathtaking view of one of Valais’ most fascinating landscapes – bears its name.
La Muña’s cuisine is ultra-fresh and particularly tasteful. It combines tender with crunchy, raw with marinated, sweet with sour. All ingredients are carefully selected and sometimes hard to find in Europe.
Preparation is “à la minute”, the kitchen team can be watched while they prepare the raw (crudo) specialties for you, amongst other very refined recipes that are best enjoyed when sharing together.

A neverending snowy paradise
Crans Montana’s ski area offers 140 kilometers of sunny slopes from 1,500 to 3,000 meters above sea level, facing a fabulous Alpine panorama of permanently snow-capped peaks. Riders will love the snowpark and its Olympic-sized halfpipe.
The area is unique in all the world, with 40 kilometers of safe itineraries for ski touring, of which 15 are signposted, along with cross-country skiing loops on a glacier at an altitude of 3,000 meters.
Passionate about golf
Swinging just five minutes from the hotel on one of the most beautiful 18-hole courses in the world, designed by Severiano Ballesteros… For golfing enthusiasts, it is difficult to imagine any greater pleasure than this course perched at an altitude of 1,500 meters and the scene of the Omega European Masters. Three other exceptional courses roll out their green carpets within a 30 kilometer radius: an 18-hole course in Leuk, designed by John Cliver-Stainer and inspired by the famous Scottish links; an 18-hole course in Sion created by Peter Harradine, as famous for its technical difficulties as for its splendid views of the Châteaux, vineyards and the Valaisan Alps; and an 18-hole course in Sierre with its 55 hectares of tree-lined, landscaped grounds stretching between the Rhône and the foothills of Anniviers.
