DINING
The main restaurant, the beating heart of life of the Schweizerhof Zermatt. In the wings of the immense “show kitchen”, the chef and his crew are working. They are all epicureans, curious-spirited gastronomes.
The preparation and cooking are live, on show, to be shared; it’s an experience. Dishes are steeped in the taste of adventure and wrought with conviviality. Each ingredient is carefully selected, always with a preference for local and Valais origins.
An example? On the menu the “Swiss Gourmet” selection scrupulously honored by the Chef. Succulent meats, grilled on request, American style – a lively flame and a BBQ XXL. Pizzas are home-made olive oil and tomatoes come directly from Italy, prepared by real pizza chefs.
Cheese Factory
The Valais region is honored in each dish at the Cheese Factory: a setting with a traditional feel, where raclette and fondue can be tasted in a cozy atmosphere.
The menu dares to offer original, local, specialties, prepared in modern and extra delicious way, in a setting designed around images of the Alpine Region. The cheese is local, of great vintages, tweaked, depending on the recipes, according to the season.
La Muña
The Muna is a simple and magical plant, with small leaves, simply beautiful. In Peru, it is used to relieve discomforts related to high altitude. It is the ideal ally for experiencing the mountains, venturing to the summits.

Beach Bar Zermatt
On the spacious sun terrace of the Design & Lifestyle Hotel is the Beach Bar Zermatt. Around 25 tons of sand, countless palm trees and sun loungers provide the authentic beach feeling with a view of the Matterhorn.

GORNERGRAT
With its sunny observation platform accessible all year, the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3,089 m, has been one of Switzerland’s top excursion destinations since 1898. The Gornergrat Bahn was the world’s first fully electrified cog railway.
Today it is a modern, eco-friendly railway, equipped with a regenerative braking system that generates electricity on the descent and so saves energy. Thus the energy for one to two new mountain drives is won by three downhill drives.
