A raw, unspoiled landscape traced by many small bays and coves, the Datça Peninsula stretches over 80 kilometers from east to west from the mainland until it reaches the ancient Greek settlement of Knidos, a former trading port that overlooks the sea where the Mediterranean meets the Aegean.
The peninsula’s north coast is low lying, with vast beaches caressed by the Etesian winds in summer; the south coast is dramatically rocky and indented. It is here one finds D Maris Bay, which occupies a panoramic perch on a narrow outcrop in the middle of an unblemished nature reserve that is ringed by beaches.
Guests may admire the rugged scenery set off by the rich red volcanic deposits that dot the landscape, the aftermath of volcanic activity from the distant past, together with the dark olive and pale green almond trees, pine forests and mesmerizing blue waters.
Accommodation
Taking inspiration from the hotel’s location on the peninsula that marks the boundary between the Aegean and Mediterranean, the sophisticated interior design blends two styles: the comfort and contemporary minimalism of the West with the exoticism of the East.
Dark wood detailing, walls in soothing beige tones and classic Italian marble are decorative elements seen in the property’s 196 guestrooms, which include 36 suites and a luxurious villa. Travelers will find tranquil spaces with private balconies and terraces offering peace and quiet after a day at the beach.

For exclusive accommodations, the D Maris Bay Villa provides peerless comfort and luxury. The chic 310-sqm property has its own garden, patio and swimming pool.
The generously sized villa hosts two guest bedrooms, each with private bathroom decorated in Calacatta marble and walk-in closet, and a sprawling living room with work desk. There is a fully equipped Gaggenau kitchen with 24-hour butler service, wine cooler and a dining room that hosts up to 8 people.
Guests may order continental breakfast service in their room and will have priority for restaurant reservations when dining à la carte. The private garden (454 sqm) includes a private pool with scenic view of the peninsula and has a sun umbrella with sun beds and dining table for four guests.
Presidential Suite
Split over the top two floors of the hotel, this penthouse-style suite has sweeping views of the peninsula that will take your breath away.
The main floor, which has a 120-sqm terrace, boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and is home to the bedroom, with a walk-in closet and a bathroom decorated in exquisite dark olive brown marble with a bathtub and separate rain shower.
The main floor features a living area, dining room and meeting room. Upstairs, one may admire the scenery on the 115-sqm terrace made of beautiful teak and dip their toes into the Jacuzzi or deepen their tan on the sprawling Italian sun bed.
Decorated with an assortment of high-end Italian furniture, the interior decor is decidedly chic and modern, with a dining table crafted from Calacatta marble that seats eight.
The presidential suite features a kitchenette and a well-stocked bar. Guests may enjoy continental breakfast service in their room and will have priority when making à la carte reservations at the hotel restaurants.

One part contemporary steakhouse, one part show cooking, diners select choice cuts of beef and are served tableside with chefs slicing meat in dramatic fashion, adding seasoning in a theatrical manner and cooking the food in front of guests.

For arrivals and departures to and from our aquatic hideaway, guests may reserve a luxury SUV or 8-seat Mercedes passenger van to transfer to Dalaman International Airport, located 120km away, or Milas-Bodrum Airport, located 155km away.
For a speedier, and more scenic, journey, we offer an exclusive air taxi service using the hotel’s fleet of Airbus EC145 helicopters (journey time 25 minutes) to ferry travelers to and from the property. Guests are greeted at the airport and assisted with baggage to ensure a fast and stress-free transfer.
