In our “Castle”, our Manor “The Jeannette”, our “Forestière House” and our Spa “Spaquana”, all our rooms offer an original atmosphere, with a warm color scheme and an elegant and modern decor combining charm and tradition.
The Domaine de la Corniche, it’s all of this at once… ! Half-resort – half host house but, above all, a hotel that’s bursting with character!
HISTORY
Legend says that the King of the Belgians, Leopold II, had this proud building which overlooks the River Seine valley built in 1908. This is where he would secretly spend time with his lover, Blanche de Vaughan.
Another version, even more sulfurous, can be given: according to the latter story, the Baroness of Wülf, a native of Freneuse, a neighboring town, ordered the construction of the castle.
It was told that this demi-mondaine was looking for a place that would be up to her reputation and success to welcome her Parisian “friends”. The Corniche became a hotel in the 1920s.
Then, the Corniche of Rolleboise passed from hand to hand until Mr. Picard, in the 70s, made it a mecca for the Parisian Jet Set.
He knows the codes and habits of the regular customers of the Fouquet’s restaurant and the Bus Palladium, and knows how to attract them, renaming the place in the process: the “Château de la Corniche” becomes the most “pop” castle of the Western Paris region and one of the first “Relais et Châteaux”.
The next landlords unfortunately didn’t follow this wise hotelier’s footsteps. It’s only in 2004, when Jérôme Crépatte took over, that he gradually restored the reputation of the Domaine.
THE CASTLE
Built in 1908 by Leopold II, King of the Belgians, as a place where to meet up with his lover Blanche of Vaughan, the castle is the main building of our Domaine. Its 18 rooms (attic-style, for some of them) differ in decoration and view.
LA JEANETTE
Old middle-class house of the 19th Century, the Jeannette consists of 9 charming rooms. Some of them are overlooking the lock of Méricourt. 70 meters only away from the Castle, you can reach the Jeannette by a bucolic and tree-lined route along which you will enjoy an exceptional view. THE FORESTIÈRE
Less than 50 meters away from the Castle, the Forestière was built in the 1950’s. Some of its rooms have just recently been renovated and decorated around specific themes: Herbier, Ecrivain, Cinéma, Impressionniste, Urbain… Choose your favorite atmosphere and enjoy the proximity of the Spa!

In our “Castle”, our Manor “The Jeannette”, our “Forestière House” and our Spa “Spaquana”, all our rooms offer an original atmosphere, with a warm color scheme and an elegant and modern decor.
As a member of “Les Collectionneurs” and “Hôtels et Préférences” networks, our hotel holds a Trip Advisor Certifiate of Excellence.
SUPERIOR SEINE
As well as an exceptional view over the River Seine, some of those rooms provide a terrace or a small living room. We also have communicating rooms. The biggest rooms can accomodate up to 2 adults and 2 children.

Open on to the countryside or our garden, our standard rooms combine charm and modern comfort. An ideal atmosphere for a holiday just by yourself or with your loved one.

THE PANORAMIQUE RESTAURANT
In February 2018, our restaurant the Panoramique was awarded a Michelin Guide star ! Our Chef Gaëtan Perulli’s top cuisine, paired with a high-quality service, offer a wide range of meals coming from the French culinary tradition, wisely updated.
The restaurant offers an oustanding setting with one of the most breathtaking views over the meanders of the River Seine in the region, that you can admire while enjoying your time on its exceptional terrace during the warm summer days.
In September 2018, the Panoramique joined the Collège culinaire de France, an institution which celebrates the French gastronomic culture.
The Appellation “Restaurant de Qualité” consists of a militant movement wich gathers the people aiming at embodying and collectively promoting their passion for our traditional culinary heritage.
Our Head Sommelier and Wine Consultant, Anthony Gala, offers a fine selection of wines that both wine amateurs and connoisseurs will be delighted by. For Epicureans, we organize every Friday, Saturday and Sunday wine tasting experiences. Let yourself be introduced to new wines, flavours and their history.
THE 20 DU DOMAINE
The 20 du Domaine is a place where our chef Valentin’s traditional cuisine goes along with the warm and charming decoration of the house. It combines family vibes and a second-hand shop atmosphere.
By the way, you happen to like one of its pieces of furniture? Take it with you! The 20 can be both a place where to enjoy a quick lunch break or a gourmet dining experience a few steps away from the Spa.
The 20 du Domaine is a wine bar. Let yourself be amazed by the passion and expertise of our restaurant manager, Benoît. Enjoy not only amazaing “à la carte” dishes, but also affordable menus, starting from 20€ – small-starter, main course, gourmet coffee (from Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner).

When the sunny days come back, enjoy the Leopold’s open and bright veranda, where you can chill and enjoy your drinks on the sofas, as well as its chic and nicely airy terrace.

SPAQUANA
At the Domaine de la Corniche, we can admire the “Sequana” (the “River Seine”, in Latin), its meanders, curves and calm flow. Created by combining « Spa » and « Sequana », our Spaquana gives you the opportunity to enjoy a well-being experience only one hour away from Paris.
