A SPECIAL CORNER IN THE GOURMET REGION
The Andreas Hofer Stube: Your favourite restaurant in Brunico
Whether local or a guest: A visit to our restaurant in Brunico is well worthwhile. Party indoors in traditional rooms and halls and outside on the terrace or in the garden. We serve rural, down-to-earth South Tyrolean dishes as well as light Mediterranean and international delicacies.

Creatively arranged, pleasing to the eye and especially delectable, our dishes will amaze. For their preparation, our kitchen team prefers to use fresh local and seasonal ingredients.

In keeping with the food, we always serve an excellent drop from our well-stocked cellar. Start looking forward to countless exquisite moments!

PASSION FOR FRESHNESS AND REGIONALITY.
Our kitchen is very particular
As far as we are concerned, cooking has a lot to do with love. This love begins with the selection of ingredients for all the mouthwatering dishes served to our house guests and in our “Andreas Hofer Stuben” à la carte restaurant.

We principally source fresh natural ingredients of the highest quality according to the season from the region or from local farmers.

Our chefs also put much love into the preparation of the food; conjuring up delicious, down-to-earth dishes typical to our homeland, coupled with the creative sophistication of Italy and the entire world.

Of course, this culinary extravaganza also calls for the right wine. So it is just as well we have numerous renowned wines from South Tyrol as well as from Italy and all over the world in our well-stocked wine cellar.

From early June to late September, we expand the reach of our culinary scope in the historical Hotel Andreas Hofer: As long as the temperatures are pleasantly warm outside, we not only spoil you with all sorts of delicacies in our à la carte restaurant, but we also serve meals in our beautiful garden.

GLUTEN-FREE TASTES SO DELICIOUS!
Enjoy food in our hotel without a care
When you suffer from coeliac disease, the worry of enjoying food on holiday can take its toll. Our historical Hotel Andreas Hofer ensures that your intolerance is not a problem. Simply let us know and we will prepare special gluten-free meals that you can enjoy without a second thought. Your well-being is important to us.

A MASTER OF HIS CRAFT.
May we introduce – our chef
Born in Sicily, Giuseppe Zona has lived and worked in South Tyrol for 30 years and directs his skills in the kitchen of our Hotel Andreas Hofer. He is a man full of a passion for cooking, who understands how to delight the palates of our guests with his artistry on a daily basis.

He conjures up exquisite dishes of the highest level, adopting all the culinary advantages of fresh regional and seasonal products. Sources of inspiration stem both from the cuisine of his adopted home of South Tyrol as well as those of Italy. A combination that comes to the fore in the delectable dishes of our chef de cuisine.

AIMING HIGH
Are you brave enough to climb in a high ropes course?
Daredevils will love it because there are a large number of high ropes courses and adventure parks in South Tyrol and not for the faint-hearted. One of them is located very close to Lake Issengo in Val Pusteria just a few kilometres away from the hotel: the Kronaction Outdoor and Fun Park.

One of the largest in the country, it has over 10 different courses so there is something for everyone. For tiny tots, there is the Taka-Tuka-Park: slightly older children can show what they’re made of on the pirates course and the fun course is perfect for children from the age of eight.

The extreme course winds through the treetops at a dizzying 18 to 20 m height, calling for quite an amount of strength and courage in the older children. A real adrenaline rush!

THE FASCINATION OF CLIMBING
Feel your pulse rise on the climbing wall or rock face.
If climbing is one of your favourite sports, then you will love Val Pusteria. That’s because there are loads of high ropes courses requiring varying levels of skill so there is something for everybody. With its numerous mountain peaks and jagged rocks, the landscape is simply made for real rock climbing adventures.

Especially popular are climbing tours in the Sesto and the Lienzer Dolomites and on the 3000 m peaks of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park. But don’t think sports climbers are left out either: Brunico, Sesto and Dobbiaco have demanding climbing halls where you can demonstrate your skills.

GREAT WINTER VARIETY
Make your holiday an unforgettable adventure
A winter holiday at Plan de Corones means more than just skiing. There are many other ways to discover the beauty of nature close-up. On cross-country skis or snowshoes, on a toboggan or with touring skis – each and every day of your holiday with us will be a unique experience that you’ll never forget!

YOUR TRACK DREAM
Cross-country skiing in a snow-covered winter landscape
Plan de Corones is actually mainly known for its endless, perfectly groomed slopes. But it has much more to offer than just skiing. It’s also ideal for those who prefer to move on narrower skis.

Perfectly groomed trails meander along the foot of the local Brunico mountain through the white winter landscape; ideal for beginners and professionals, skaters and classic cross-country skiers. The trails closest to our hotel are located in Riscone, San Lorenzo di Sebato and Santo Stefano.

A few minutes drive away, but particularly rewarding, are those in the valleys of Casies and Anterselva. The latter has made a name for itself as a venue for high profile biathlon competitions. But it is also particularly good for recreational cross-country skiers owing to the unique circuit on the frozen Lake Anterselva.

HIKING IN A WHITE WORLD
On the move with snowshoes
Snowshoe hiking is a nature experience that leaves a lasting impression. Those who have ever undergone the experience of tramping through an idyllic winter wonderland covered deep in snow, will want to fasten up their snowshoes and just go again and again.

Away from the slopes of Plan de Corones, the surrounding snow-covered mountains present breathtaking views to enjoy in the peace and silence. The holiday region of Plan de Corones, the Dolomites and the Valli di Tures e Aurina offer a huge selection of snowshoe and winter hiking tours.

Whether you prefer leisurely family walks in the valley or challenging mountain tours that take you up to the cross on the summit, you will definitely find what you are looking for.

The snowshoe hiking tours often lead to a rustic mountain hut. Here, not only can you warm and fortify yourself, you can sometimes also borrow a sledge for the descent into the valley.

The pristine trails are of particular fascination, leading you through deep snow into magical places in the natural surroundings. It is advisable to consult a local mountain guide for demanding tours. The local tourist offices often offer guided winter and snowshoe hiking tours on Plan de Corones.

MOUNTAINEERING ON SKIS
Unlimited ski tour options
In the mountains around Brunico and Val Pusteria, a very special nature experience awaits you in the winter season. On a ski tour of Plan de Corones, the valleys of Casies and Anterselva or on the high mountain pastures of Fanes and Sennes, you are close to winter as never before.

Silent and mysterious, yet adventurous and rugged – the snow-covered slopes and summits show their multifaceted side. Well equipped, even for an emergency, head off on your touring skis, climbing ever higher with a constant, smooth rhythm. There is everything from a leisurely ski tour to a high Alpine tour.

You decide according to your skills which level of difficulty to choose. But whichever tour you decide to take: you will always be accompanied by the most spectacular views across the valley and the surrounding mountain peaks of the Dolomites and the main ridge of the Alps.

SLEDGING DOWN INTO THE VALLEY
Tobogganing is great fun for young and old
Plan de Corones is not just about skiing. Tobogganing is also great fun. Perhaps you came without your own toboggan, then just hire one from one of the rental shops and get going. Uphill is either with the cable car in Riscone or on foot. But back down into the valley is with the “Korer” toboggan run.

An unforgettable experience for families with children! If you would like to go on more tobogganing excursions in Val Pusteria, there are numerous other possibilities. Some of the side valleys have longer and shorter toboggan runs that often take you past rustic mountain huts, which make a great place for a break.
