17 rooms. A bewitching view of the Sciliar. The Alpe di Siusi within reach. Experience the Dolomite wind brushing the drabness of daily life away from your soul. So gently. See how easy it is to return to nature surrounded by alpine green meadows or white dancing snowflakes.

We’re delighted you’ve discovered our Boutique Hotel Arvina. We’ve been welcoming guests to the picture-postcard idyll of the Alpe di Siusi since 2013. Who are the people who spend their holidays with us? They love the mountains. They have a desire for silence. Easy-going and carefree is what they expect.

They appreciate the beauty of the finer things in life such as ourexcellent cuisine, our warm hospitality and the deep bond we have with nature. Does this sound like you? Fantastic, then we will make an excellent team! We can hardly wait to welcome you on the Alpe di Siusi.

Tastefully decorated room with amazing views and balcony. Feeling of countryside, really relaxing. Enjoyed the wellness centre. Divine food at the restaurant. Definitely eat there. Would definitely go back and recommend. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

Wellness for nature addicts and mountain lovers
It’s possible our house would have remained a typical South Tyrolean farmhouse forever. Complete with lots of cattle, a clucking flock of chickens and the obligatory feed house. If it hadn’t been for that big, little dream, that one question that followed us into our dreams: “What if…?” we could share our good fortune with guests?

Transform the old Paarhof farmhouse into a small, elegant boutique hotel with wellness? Dreams, as we all know, are there to be chased. So, here it is. Your Boutique Hotel in Siusi allo Sciliar. Situated in the best spot in the Dolomites. At the foot of the Alpe di Siusi.

And because we have remained true nature lovers at heart, you can feel the deep connection to mountain nature we have in every corner of our hotel. Enjoy the finest in alpine wellness and our outstandingly good cuisine. But be warned – once you have been a guest at the boutique hotel in Siusi allo Sciliar, you won’t want to go anywhere else again.

Naturally sustainable
Life is an art form in its own right. One that is especially in harmony with nature. But it is actually quite easy. Because at the Hotel Arvina we are convinced: True luxury can be found in the supposedly simple. With us, happiness smells of mountain meadows and hay. It tastes of mountains, forests, meadows and freedom. And it feels naturally relaxing.

Natural mountain meadow hay and other treasures…
The concept of our hotel is based on nature. So that you can easily find your way back to your own. Timber from the South Tyrolean forests, stone from our mountains and hay from the upland pastures of the Alpe di Siusi set the tone. For a living environment that could not be more pleasing and healthier.

When it comes to wellness and cuisine, we also like to do things in a natural and sustainable way. Dining plate or bathtub – everything we have to offer, travels the shortest possible distance and has been handled in a mindful, sustainable and caring way.

This concept is also in our name. Arvina stands for ARS VITAE NATURALIS. Put plainly, this means the art of natural living. We invite you to master this art. It’s child’s play. We promise!

Nature rooms
Live more beautifully? Well, of course. Our rooms are the perfect place to lie down, stretch out and feel at home. Even better – the love and care we have taken in furnishing our hotel. For nature. And for you and your needs. Enjoy the naturalness of your room. Premium materials from the mountains.

And stunning views of the Dolomites. Our size – or rather, our exquisite petiteness – creates plenty of space and time for your relaxation. The Boutique Hotel Arvina is a real jewel with only 17 rooms. But shhh, please don’t tell anyone! After all, we want to remain an exclusive insider’s tip.

Dolomites Royal Suite
Exclusive suite with separate rooms, bathroom with shower, WC and bidet, hairdryer, day WC, satellite TV, phone, free WLAN Internet access, safe, sofa, infrared cabin, balcony with view of Santner peak and Siusi/Seis at Sciliar/Schlern (extra bed on request).

Alp Hey Suite
Exclusive suite with separate living and sleeping area, bathroom with shower or tub, WC and bidet, hairdryer, satellite TV, phone, free WLAN Internet access, safe, sofa, balcony with view of Santner peak and Siusi/Seis at Sciliar/Schlern (extra bed on request).

Restaurant Trotzstube
First, the name of our restaurant has nothing to do with our feelings. Translated it means something like “defy or resist”. The Trotzstube is called that because it’s also the name of the district in which theHotel Arvina is located. But if we think about it carefully, it also sums up our philosophy quite well.

Because our restaurant, situated close to the Alpe di Siusi, defies culinary trends, flying in the face of short-lived kitchen fashions, and enjoys an excellent reputation. What our kitchen team conjures up in the kitchen is honest, regional and innovative. And you can always treat yourself to whatever takes your fancy.

Natural cuisine in the Trotzstube on the Alpe di Siusi
We have been catering to our guests in the Trotzstube with the finest natural cuisine since 1991. What do you take that to mean? First of all, the choicest ingredients to be found locally around the Alpe di Siusi.

Delicious, creative preparation, surprisingly light renditions of South Tyrolean dishes and mouth-watering Mediterranean favourites from southern climes. And the cherry on top: Our service team, who are more than happy to make you feel at home and always make sure you have a good time.

Inside, in the cosy ambience of our Trotzstube or outside on the sun terrace with a magnificent view of the Punta Santner. By the way: We are happy to cater to your needs and expectations.

As an a la carte restaurant, we are happy to accommodate dietary needs and intolerances. Please inform us before you visit the Trotzstube so that we can prepare something delicious for you.

Hay Sauna
High humidity. Low temperatures. And fragrant hay from the upland pastures of the Alpe di Siusi. Experience the full power of South Tyrolean mountain herbs in a particularly gentle way in our hay sauna at Hotel Arvina.

Winter holidays on the Alpe di Siusi
When the first snowflakes start to fall from thick winter clouds and cover our Dolomite peaks with a white hat, we feel a tingling sense of anticipation. Skiing again, at last! Skiing again, at last, as far as our legs will take us. Tobogganing and snowshoeing again, at last. You can tell we love winter on the Alpe di Siusi.

Because Europe’s largest upland alpine pasture turns into a true wonderland in winter, with 175 kilometres of ski slopes, 50 huts, 80 lifts, 60 kilometres of winter hiking trails and 80 kilometres of sunny cross-country ski trails. Skiing holidays on the Alpe di Siusi
First the facts, then the feeling. Because it’ s almost indescribable in the Alpe di Siusi ski area. But first a few numbers, after all they count too. With 175 kilometres of pistes and 80 lifts, the Alpe di Siusi/Gardena ski area is the largest ski area in South Tyrol.

Enjoy perfectly groomed slopes from easy to World Cup-worthy and treat yourself to a well-deserved refreshment stop in one of the more than 50 huts. The King Laurin Snowpark with 60 obstacles awaits freeskiers and snowboarders, while the little ones are in good hands in the Kids Fun Park.

Horse-Drawn Sledge & Carriage Rides
It doesn’t get more romantic than this: You and your favourite person in a horse-drawn carriage. Surrounded by glittering winter white, the only sounds to be heard are the trotting and snorting of the Haflinger horses pulling you through the landscape. Rumour has it that the scenery has encouraged many an engagement.

Summer holiday in the Dolomites
Majestic. Breathtaking. Magical. Much has been said and written about the Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites. And none of it is exaggerated. In fact, we promise you everything is even more beautiful in real life. Summer on the Alpe di Siusi has a lot in store for you. For example, the scent of freshly mown grass.

A concert of cowbells and birdsong and the call of the mountains: Come, find your way back to nature! You can explore this very special corner of the Dolomites on foot or from the saddle of a bicycle. Your constant companion: sunshine.

Because up here on the Alpe di Siusi, it shines more than 300 days a year. And what about us? We make sure you have everything you need for your summer’s (night) dream in the Dolomites. From hiking poles to a massage for tired legs.

The Alpe di Siusi hiking paradise

The network of hiking trails on the Alpe di Siusi stretches for 450 kilometres. One holiday is not enough to cover them all. But don’t rush. We are willing to bet that you will want to come back. For climbing. Hiking. In one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Alps.

Hiking and climbing on the Alpe di Siusi
Europe’s largest high alpine pasture does not bear the title of UNESCO World Natural Heritage for nothing. This peculiar beauty in the Dolomites between gentle alpine meadow hills and rugged peaks awakens a desire for hiking, even in die-hard coach potatoes.

At an altitude of 1,680 to 2,350 metres. There are 7 summer lifts and over 50 huts to make hiking a delightful pleasure. Alpinism in its purest form. And if you aspire to higher things, then you should venture on one of the four via ferratas of the Alpe di Siusi.

This green is really something. 55 hectares of golf, playable from March to November and the legendary par-3 hole no. 15: it offers you Europe’s biggest difference in altitude. Sounds exciting? It is.

With its beautifully landscaped streams, ravines, ponds, waterfalls (!) and wonderfully long fairways, this course is a real dream come true for anyone who loves golf.

The Golf Club St. Vigil is not considered one of the most beautiful 18-hole courses in the Alps for nothing. But to be honest, you simply have to experience this pinnacle of pleasure on the green for yourself.

Active holiday on the Alpe di Siusi
If you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new, enjoy your holiday to the max and explore the Alpe di Siusi in a different way, then you’ve come to the right place. Because Siusi allo Sciliar also has plenty of exciting and exhilarating weekly activities in store for you away from the hiking trails and biking routes.

Pluck a piece of the Dolomite sky while paragliding or swing yourself onto the back of the Haflinger horses. Are you craving an adrenaline kick? Then take to the vertical and go climbing.

Keen runners will find 180 kilometres of top training grounds in the Alpe di Siusi Running Park. So whatever activities you prefer on holiday, here with us in Siusi allo Sciliar you can let off steam.

A piece of paradise in the Dolomites
It’s even more beautiful in real life: No home movie, no postcard and certainly no Instagram filter does justice to the Alpe di Siusi. Europe’s largest upland alpine landscape is a true natural beauty. And a cultural region that exists only once in the world.

A whole 56 square kilometres in size and surmounted by the peaks of the Sciliar and the Sassolungo. The high plateau has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009 and this landscape has always been considered a peaceful haven. A place where the soul can catch its breath.

Mountains. Landscape. Culture.
The history of the high plateau of the Alpe di Siusi is closely linked to that of the people. Before the first farmers settled here in the High Middle Ages, the Alpe di Siusi was covered with dense forests of spruce. These were cleared around 800 years ago to provide pasture for the cattle.

Several centuries were to pass before the first “summer visitors” and “city dwellers” discovered the Dolomites as a place of recreation. You can still sense the rural heritage and the traditional history of this region.

We are so fortunate to be able to share our home, the Alpe di Siusi, with you. Look forward to 365 days full of wonder. The magic of the seasons. And a panoramic 360-degree view of the Dolomites that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Join us on an excursion!
What do you fancy doing today? A bit of culture and tradition. Perhaps you’re also interested in history or architecture. The five towns around the Alpe di Siusi have a lot to offer. We’ve put together a list of our favourite things to do in Siusi allo Sciliar and the neighbouring villages:

Laghetto di Fiè
What an undertaking it must have been back then, the Laghetto di Fiè was created as a fish pond in the 16th century. It is strictly forbidden to cast a fishing rod here today, but plunging into the cool water yourself is expressly permitted. On warm summer days, the pine-fringed pond is one of the most popular places to visit around the Alpe di Siusi.

The Castel Trostburg
South Tyrol should actually be called “the Land of Castles”. Hardly any other castles, manors and fortresses are as beautiful as ours. The Castel Trostburg near Ponte Gardena, which once belonged to the lords of Castelrotto, is certainly worth a visit and will transport you back to the time of Oswald von Wolkenstein in no time.

Oswald Von Wolkenstein Ride
It is a gigantic spectacle, a festival for horse lovers, a tribute to medieval jousting and a valuable piece of South Tyrolean folk culture. The horse show in honour of the famous minstrel has been held every year on the Alpe di Siusi since 1983. An early summer festival filled with joie de vivre.

MMM Firmiano
The Messner Mountain Museum at Castel Firmiano is located south of Bolzano and explores the interrelationship between man and mountain in an innovative way. A contrast-filled experience for mountain lovers, the inquisitive and fans of mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner.

Farmer’s Markets
Eggs, cheese, bacon, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables – the farmers of the Alpe di Siusi do their utmost to tempt you with their tasty delicacies. Regular weekly markets take place in Siusi allo Sciliar, Castelrotto and Fiè during the summer months. An excellent opportunity to get to know the real taste of South Tyrol.

The Pflegerhof Organic Herb Farm
He was the first herb farmer in South Tyrol who dared to go “organic”. Today, the Mulser family farm is a haven of colours, scents and flavours. In picturesque Sant’Osvaldo near Castelrotto, all kinds of delectable and beneficial goodies are made from alpine herbs. Visitors with green fingers will simply love the farm shop and nursery.

Castel Prösels
Concerts and exhibitions, weddings or film shoots. There is always something going on at Castel Prösels in Fiè allo Sciliar. The beautiful complex was built around 1200. 400 years later, Leonhard von Fiè transformed the castle into a Renaissance dream. And it has remained so to this day.
