Sun-ripened and seasonal fruit and vegetables, carefully selected cereals, meat from the family butchers and fresh herbs from the garden characterize our kitchen at AVIDEA. We value regionalism and sustainability, so are careful not to waste anything and treat our products with great respect.
Thanks to careful cooking methods we preserve the vitamins and full flavours in our produce. Chef Michel loves to experiment with texture. For example, he may serve celery as crispy as crisps, as creamy as puree or as tender as Schnitzel.

Customs and culture
Old customs and traditions run through the year in South Tyrol. During the summer months experience how the Sacred Heart Fire lights up the mountains and how traditional village festival music and costumes are kept alive.
The high point in autumn is the Merano traditional grape festival, south Tyrol’s largest harvest festival. The Haflinger horse race on Easter Monday is one of the most important traditional events in the spring.
