THE BENEFICIAL EFFECTS OF AN INFUSION
An infusion is a wellness and cleansing ritual from Finland in which water, ice balls, and essential oils are poured onto hot stones. Every day, the infusion master performs an infusion in our Finnish sauna at 5:45 p.m.

With soothing background music, the infusion master rhythmically swings a towel, waving the hot and fragrant steam towards the people who enjoy a deep and pleasant experience that appeals to all the senses.

An infusion is beneficial to the body and mind in many ways. It stimulates the lymphatic system and strengthens the immune system, prevents infections, strengthens and relaxes the respiratory muscles, stimulates blood circulation, eliminates toxins, and relaxes the central nervous system.

In addition, the music in the background promotes the release of dopamine and thus ensures psychological well-being.

Finnish sauna
Finnish sauna is characterised by temperatures ranging from 80° C to 90° C and low humidity. This helps cleanse the airways and relieve cough, boost blood circulation and metabolism and strengthen the immune system, improving psychophysical well-being.

This Finnish sauna offers you a fantastic view on the Mount Santa Croce. Every day at 6:10 pm you can enjoy the Aufguss in the Finnish sauna.

Turkish bath
The high level of humidity of 100% and the temperature from 45° C to 50° C in the Turkish bath dilates blood vessels, thereby improving circulation, helping loosen tensions and soothing the nerves. In this Turkish bath, designed by Starpool, the heat penetrates body tissue relieving minor muscular discomfort.

Vitarium
The Vitarium has a temperature of 60° C and 40% humidity. In addition to strengthening the immune system, it cleanses the airways and detoxifies the body. Combined with pure essential oils and relaxing music, the gentle heat stimulates the senses inducing a state of well-being.

Sauna “Mountain hut”
The sauna “mountain hut” is ideal for sauna beginners. It is suitable for all those who prefer to avoid high temperatures but still want to enjoy the advantages of a sauna. With temperatures of 70° C, the sauna “mountain hut” is less hot than the Finnish sauna – nevertheless, you can still be sure of pleasant sweating.

“La Gana” is a mythical figure from the legends of the Dolomites and Val Badia. This wild creature lived among the rocks and in the woods and fed on what nature offered in the high mountains.

Away from civilization, “La Gana” led a simple life in seclusion. Only rarely this creature went down to the farmhouses in the valley to find some company and a few bites to eat during the winter months.

The philosophy of the Restaurant La Gana is based exactly on this legend, where we conjure true gourmet dishes from the abundance of the mountains.

Our chef, Giuseppe Gravela, will take you on a culinary journey through our region, using seasonal and fresh products from the Alps. His talent for perfectly highlighting the uniqueness of each individual ingredient allows nature to have its say in every dish.

In an exclusive and elegant atmosphere, a harmonious blend of flavours, scents, and colours awaits you – an unforgettable culinary experience. The Bistrot La Gana is open from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a simple, quick, and high-quality lunch.

Mountain hut dining in the Dolomites

Live the unforgettable experience of dining in an authentic Alpine hut on the Dolomites. Hotel Cristallo offers you the chance to do so at 2,000 metres of altitude on the Passo delle Erbe mountain pass, at the foot of Mt. Putia.

Surrounded by flower-dotted meadows and embraced by towering mountains, our hut is open once a week for you to share a merry barbecue of local specialities and lots of happy moments in this idyllic setting (the barbecue lunch is included in the price).

You can get there by you own car. Step inside to enjoy a seriously cosy atmosphere and sample traditional South Tyrolean favourites: an aperitif served with speck, smoked sausages and local cheese appetizers, polenta, alpine cheese, and grilled meat and vegetables for lunch and cranberry tart and fresh fruit for dessert.

This will also be a great occasion to spend some quality time outdoors, fill your lungs with pure mountain air and play board games with your family or catch a tan lying on the loungers.

In the cellar of the Hotel Cristallo, every single bottle tells a story: of producers, landscapes and experiences. Once a week at 5:30 p.m. Mrs Emanuela, hotel owner and sommelière, will tell you these stories during a wine tasting session.

Movimënt recreational parks

The Movimënt recreational parks on 2.000 m of altitude are true oases between La Villa/Stern (Active Park Piz La Ila), San Cassiano/St. Kassian (Bear Park Piz Sorega) and Corvara (Spaghettino Park Pralongià), offering lots of activities for families.

The parks are easily reachable by funicular and interconnected via scenic walking and mountain bike trails. You can hire a mountain bike directly on site at E-MTB Points Movimënt-Alta Badia.

The parks also offer climbing walls, little lakes with water games, fitness areas, a mini golf course, a cave with lots of games centered on the theme of “bears”, slides, adventure courses, geocaching, and many other activities.

If you need a break in between, visit one of the various relaxation areas with Kneipp trails and pebble and sand courses.

Adventure Park and Animal Park in Colfosco/Kolfuschg

The high-ropes course in Colfosco/Kolfuschg offers 5 courses with 71 platforms and a total of 600 m of pure climbing fun.

Right next to the Adventure Park you find a water mill and a bread-baking oven, which are typical for the traditional farming and offer you the possibility to immerse yourself in the history of local farmers. Highlight: the beautiful nature and the lovely farm animals!

Ice stadion in Corvara

In Alta Badia you can ice skate also in the warm season. Ice skating is a mix of dance and physical activity and ideal for people of every age. Even if you are doing it as a hobby, you will strengthen your muscles and burn calories in no time at all.

Besides, your body awareness will increase and you will become more subtle and graceful in your movements. In the roofed ice hall, you can skate anytime, even in the warm season.

HIKING IN THE DOLOMITES
The Dolomites are a paradise for mountaineers and hikers. The selection of hikes and via ferratas is wide and ranges from simple leisurely walks to climbs of the legendary peaks: a broad offer with something for every taste.

The Golf Club in Tranrüs is located a few kilometres from Corvara at 1,700 m height and one of the highest golf courses in Europe. The Sella and the Sassongher mountains offer the awe-inspiring backdrop for your game of golf or training session.

MOVIMËNT PARKS
The Movimënt parks offer a wide range of routes designed specifically for young guests. The Fun Slope and Kids Slope parks with small jumps, tunnels, big shapes of foam as well as thrilling curves and bumps will keep your little ones entertained and completely safe.

Children and parents can also have fun in the bear’s cave at the top of the Piz Sorega lift in San Cassiano: multimedia games, quizzes on nature and animals, a special area to jump on a soft carpet in complete safety, and … a bear in hibernation!

TOBOGGAN RUN
You’re never too old for a toboggan ride! The track starts on the Piz Sorega plateau at 2,003 m and leads to San Cassiano at 1,537 m. The total length is 3.5 km. The landscapes that you’ll encounter during the descent are wonderful to say the least. The start at Piz Sorega can be easily reached by the Piz Sorega cable car.

Skiing in the Dolomites of Alta Badia is a dream come true for every skier. The Alta Badia ski area is one of the top winter holiday destinations in the Dolomites: 130 km of slopes, direct connection to the 500 km of slopes of Dolomiti Superski, a network of 53 fast and comfortable lifts, and the legendary Dolomite landscapes.
