Our hotel is located on the vast meadows of the Seiser Alm, shielded from the elements by the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto. Every day we rejoice in the seemingly endless expanses of countryside and the sense of freedom that this sheltered spot gives us.

We want to share this wonderful feeling with you, and we look forward to welcoming you with all the warm, genuine hospitality that we, the second generation to run our family hotel, can provide. Our driving inspiration: We want nothing more than to treat you to all-round service where nothing is lacking.

The new Brunelle Seiser Alm Lodge is spurring us on even further: A one-of-a-kind sanctuary in the heart of the countryside, the new Brunelle is a place where you can feel the soul of South Tyrol, and where the many facets of the mountains invite you to discover their magic.

Wherever you go and whatever you choose to do, just do it. We’ll be there to help you!

Hosts with a heart and a vocation
Our family history is steeped in hospitality and love for our homeland. We make a good team with our two sons Alex and Paul, and live our life’s calling in the shelter of the Dolomites. We believe that only true lovers of their homeland can reveal its full beauty to guests.

Our love for our lands is reflected in the name we have given our new Seiser Alm Lodge: “Brunelle” also goes by the name of “Heart of the Earth,” and is one of the plants that blossoms here in the summer months.

Understanding where you’re going
Grandparents Paul and Magdalena – “Lena” – have run the Saltner Hut for many years. Lena bought the plot of land on which the modern-day Hotel Saltria was built in 1964, and which she managed together with Paul and their three children Luis, Paul and Notburga; the ground stone for the hotel business was laid early for the Scherlin family, and with every generation, their love for hospitality has continued to grow.

A feast for the eyes
Beauty is often hidden away in the details. And often it is so strikingly clear to see that we can’t take our eyes from it.

In and around the Brunelle Seiser Alm Lodge, you will find these magnificent visions wherever the eye falls: An image to adorn a calendar, or the simple authenticity that is often harder to spot, a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

OUR INCLUSIVE SERVICES
All-round comfort and happiness
Summer or winter, gourmet cuisine expeditions, spa-filled relaxation or exploring the surrounding area – What does your perfect holiday look like? We have put together a series of special services and facilities for every season and every occasion, to make sure that you enjoy your Seiser Alm holiday to the absolute fullest.

YOUR RESTAURANT ON THE SEISER ALM
Palate-pleasers à la Brunelle
“On the menu in the Seiser Alm restaurant: A juicy cut of mountain magic served with sweetly-scented meadow flowers on a mirror of clear lakes, garnished with a whisper of Mediterranean herbs and accompanied by a glass of forest fragrance. For dessert, a mousse of Tyrolean love for home with Alpine ambience fruits.”

A literary narrative of our menu would read something like this. We take great care to source our products regionally, and season and garnish them with a sensitive awareness of the natural taste of each and every dish.

Our half-board guests can enjoy all the taste of traditional South Tyrolean dishes and classic home-cooked fare from breakfast through to your 5-course evening meal. Armed with outstanding creativity and love for detail, our kitchen team will treat you to surprise after never-ending surprise.

MODERN VENUE
An evening of good taste in the lounge bar
Enjoy an aperitif in the cosy atmosphere of the newly-refurbished bar as you look forward to dinner or round the evening off in comfort and cheer: The host himself will be delighted to recommend the perfect wine or refreshing drink for every occasion.

The light, bright lounge bar in local larch wood is the ideal spot to relax in the comfy armchairs and enjoy the clear, unfettered view of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, and the fireplace corner with rocking chairs is ready and waiting to treat you to relaxation at its comfortable best.

Relaxing times in the new spa
Inspired by the view of the gentle Alpine meadows of the Seiser Alm, we have christened the new spa area in our small but wonderful spa hotel with the name of “Meadow Spa.”

Look out onto the beauty of the meadows and the mountains all around in the panoramic Finnish sauna with its breathtaking views of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, or enjoy the soothing warmth and all-enveloping cosiness of the organic sauna and steam bath.

Or why not head to the fitness room for a work out on the cross-trainer, indoor bike, treadmill or power station before you treat yourself to a well-earned break on warm water beds in the relaxation room with fire pit?

And if you fancy a revitalising snack, from 3 pm every day we stock our Vitality corner with tea, fresh spring water and seasonal fruit, nuts and dried fruits.

Soothing warmth for deep, lasting relaxation
It’s all in the blend: From rustic to modern, a variety of styles merge harmoniously in our new sauna area, where natural materials and soft, earthy tones bring nature indoors and create an atmosphere that lulls you into blissful relaxation.

And, always and everywhere, the views reign supreme: Whether you’re unwinding in the reclaimed wood of the organic sauna or the Finnish sauna with its enormous panoramic windows, relaxation at its best includes the views.

The indoor eye-catcher in the large panoramic sauna comes in the form of an ultra-stylish dark metal stove. The nude sauna zone is open from 3pm every day and is open to adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Relaxing and fun: Swimming
Our indoor pool measures 12 x 6 m and, at a pleasant 30°C, it is a wonderful place to swim a few lengths whatever the weather.

The mild salt content in the pool caresses your skin and enhances that soothing sensation that only water can give. In both the indoor area and the neighbouring sunbathing lawn, loungers are freely available at all times.

The relaxation room comes complete with water beds and rocking loungers and is accessible from the swimming pool, providing yet another perfect spot to while away moments of contemplative peace.

New from December 2020: Beside the showers, the pool area now features an infrared cabin where even children under 16 years old can experience the wonders of warmth for the first time.

Experience summer on the Seiser Alm
Velvety green Alpine meadows as far as the eye can see and new flowers unfurling their petals every day, heads upturned towards the sun. Take their lead and let your love of the mountains unfold, kissed to life by the warming rays of the sun.

The contrasting beauty is magnificence beyond compare. Seemingly endless, practically level walking trails and challenging mountain tours set out right on the hotel doorstep.

And if you don’t feel drawn towards the peaks of the UNESCO World Heritage mountains, simply lie down in blissful comfort on a lounger in front of the hotel, where the spectacular views of the countryside provide you with more than an abundance of beauty.

Heavenly hiking
Barrier-free excursions on the Bullaccia, view-packed tours on a hut-hopping hike and sure-footed expeditions up the summit ridge to the Sassopiatto – with a network of hiking trails covering a good 450 km to count on, you’ll find an endless plethora of tours to satiate your wanderlust.

Themed routes, like the Oswald von Wolkenstein trail or the hike to the Witches’ Springs in Saltria, make hiking fun at its best even for the youngest members of the family.

Pedalling high
As the largest mountain plateau in Europe, the Seiser Alm also offers endless options for bikers. Nice and leisurely, or tough and testing?

We’ve got it all! The altitude difference of the bike tours spans 200 to 2,500 metres, and the variety ranges from practically level loop routes for quick bike trips to full-day tours over adventurous, rocky trails. The choice is yours!

Run from the routine
Our hotel is surrounded by around 240 km of exceptionally well-signposted running routes of varying lengths and difficulties.

For serious runners, the optimal altitude of between 1,800 – 2,300 metres provides a high-altitude training effect accompanied by a breathtaking mountainous landscape, while competitive runners can get in a bit of training for the Seiser Alm Half Marathon or the Rosengarten Schlern Sky Marathon.

WINTER HOLIDAY ON THE SEISER ALM
Surrounded by well-groomed slopes and the gentle magic of winter
A winter holiday on the Seiser Alm is a holiday overflowing with variety. As soon as the first snow falls on the mountain plateau, an atmosphere that is nigh on magical reigns all around.

The crystal-clear mountain air and deep blue skies tempt you out to swing your way down the slopes on skis or enjoy a leisurely winter snowshoes or tour ski expedition.

Or it might be a romantic horse and carriage ride through the glittering countryside, or all the fun of a sledging party… whatever you choose, here on the Seiser Alm everybody is guaranteed to find their perfect winter activity in the heart of the beautiful Dolomites.

Never less than a hand’s breadth of snow beneath your skis
A few minutes is all it take to get from our hotel to the Florian lift, where perfectly-groomed slopes with plenty of variety for all levels are waiting for you to explore…

And no matter whether you’re speeding down the slopes or wending your way leisurely through the powdery snow, you’ll always find your way to the perfect place for a break and a hot cup of tea in the rustic atmosphere of a mountain hut.

Gliding through the countryside and enjoying the views
In the world of winter sports, cross-country skiing has picked up in popularity immensely over the last few years. The Seiser Alm and surrounding area boast a large network of cross-country trails covering 26 different routes.

One of these trails leads directly past our hotel, providing guests with an outstanding opportunity to enjoy all the ease and fun of cross-country skiing at the foot of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto.

Sledging down the slopes
It’s not just for kids: Sledging is an honest-to-goodness sport, and an immensely popular one with all ages. There’s nothing like racing down the variety-packed slopes with the wind in your face to make you feel alive.

And in the midst of such beautiful countryside, it’s one of the best ways to feel the true spirit of a Seiser Alm winter.

Tromping leisurely through the crisp snow
Far from the hustle and bustle of the ski resorts: A leisurely snowshoe expedition is the perfect way to slow down and experience winter and all the many facets of the wintry countryside. Just stop for a moment, breathe in the fresh mountain air and bring balance to your body and soul in steady, even steps.
