An idyllic image for eternity: in the spring-like Armentara meadows, globe flowers, alpine anemones and broadleaf gentian swaying in the wind.

Behind them: the small pilgrim church La Crus / Santa Croce with the enormous & vertically rising walls of the Kreuzkofel. Another highlight: in summer you can marvel at the snow cave – which was created by a small stream.

CYCLING HOLIDAYS IN THE DOLOMITES – GET ON YOUR BIKE …
Is there anything better than on a bike off the beaten path, dashing over roads and paths, up sharp ascents and rapidly down to the valley. Only you, your MTB and the Dolomites. And that feeling of freedom.

A moment of happiness. In Alta Badia, leisurely cyclists and MTB fans will not only find a dense and very well structured bicycle network with around 80 km of off-road paths, but also many mountain biking events.

LA CRUSC SUMMER PARK

Explore dragon caves, pet alpacas, donkeys and rabbits in the mini-zoo, relax in the Kneipp facilities and enjoy the beautiful views along the circular route.

WINTER FUN AND THE MAGIC OF SNOW
The snow falls softly, with fat, wool-like flakes from the sky down to the valley, enchanting the landscape and people alike. Leave your first footprints in freshly fallen show and see how they glitter in the sunlight.

Enjoy the in the wild and romantic, peaceful sceneries during your winter holidays in the Dolomites. This makes cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking fun!

Armentarola cross-country skiing centre

26 km of cross-country trails, 8 routes – 2 of them are racing and training trails, various levels of difficulty: welcome to the Armentarola cross-country skiing centre, which is located only 3 km from St. Kassian in Sarè / Armentarola. Whether classical or skating – both cross-country skiing techniques can be used here.

By the way: If Old Mother Frost should have a bad day, at least 4 km of the cross-country skiing trail can be covered with artificial snow so nothing gets in the way of cross-country skiing pleasure.

A winter hike from St. Kassian to Valparola Alm: 6.15 km | 545 metres in altitude | 2..5 h | Easy
The winter hiking path leads to untouched nature, over snow-covered meadows, through wild and romantic forests to Valparola alpine pasture. Today the alpine pasture is a popular hiking destination in summer and in winter.

In the 14th-16th century the individual huts housed large iron melting furnaces that were used to produce raw iron.

Even if the Valparola huts only serve drinks and snacks during the summer, it is still worth going in winter. If you bring your own tea in a thermos and your own snack, you can enjoy them while admiring the spectacular winter scenery.

Störes meadows to Piz Sorega: 10 km | 544 metres in altitude | 3.5 h | Easy
Fell like leaving your tracks in the snow and enjoying a 360° view? The snowshoeing tour starts in St. Kassian and leads you upwards to the Pralongiá high plateau, where the unique panorama opens up in front of you.

Don’t forget your camera and take a “selfie” with the large mountains of the Marmolada, the Sella and Fanes mountains and the peaks of the Sassonghers and Peitlerkofels.
