MONTMARTRE BY FRANK
We went to meet Franck, night receptionist at the Walt Hotel. In this Lovers’ Favourite, he tells us about his favourite place in Paris: the Montmartre district. Montmartre is unique, with its cobbled streets, its artists, its bistros and its magnificent basilica, one can only be charmed by this district.

Situated on top of a hill, Montmartre is as much appreciated by Parisians as by tourists. This charming neighbourhood is dominated by the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, a masterpiece of beauty and greatness and one of the most emblematic monuments in Paris.

Franck has known this place for some time as it is his favourite place in Paris. Although it is his favourite district, he doesn’t have the opportunity to go there regularly. He was therefore delighted to learn that he was going to pose there for a photo shoot organised by the Inwood Hotels group to highlight its collaborators.

For our Inwood Lover, Montmartre is “the prettiest neighbourhood in Paris to visit”. For him, this Parisian district is “timeless”, with a unique atmosphere far removed from the hustle and bustle of Paris.

If you’re looking for a spot of nature, Franck suggests you go for a walk. With its gardens, vineyards and charming houses, this area will allow you to escape from Paris for a while. Franck also appreciates this area for its architecture.

A passionate photographer, he tells us how delighted he was with the pictures he was able to take of the Sacré-Coeur basilica: “I walked around the basilica and was able to take pictures of the beautiful details of the architecture”. He recommends all photography enthusiasts to go there and admire Montmartre through their cameras.

If you’re walking around, our Inwood Lover recommends a trip to the Hall Saint Pierre. He tells us “this great art gallery is located at the bottom of the hill and offers a beautiful view of Montmartre”, part museum, part gallery, part bookshop and part tea room, you will have a great time in this place.

THE MOULIN ROUGE BY ALIDA
For this Lovers’ favourite, we went to meet Alida, night receptionist at the Walt Hotel. In this article, she invites us to discover the famous Moulin Rouge located in the lively Pigalle district.

The Moulin Rouge is a Parisian institution. Founded in 1889, this Parisian cabaret was originally dedicated to popular entertainment. Located in a popular district of the time, it quickly became famous and inspired famous artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec and Renoir.

After the 1950s, many singers performed there, such as Charles Aznavour and Charles Trenet. Today, it is one of the symbols of Paris and is one of the most photographed monuments in the capital.

Alida, like most people, knows the Moulin Rouge because of its fame. She has never had the opportunity to enter it, but confides that “it is something I would like to do soon”. She would like to discover this place with a friend who would have the same idea as her: “enjoy a moment of relaxation in an enchanting setting”.

Our Inwood Lover is very attracted to the Moulin Rouge on the one hand by its “history” and on the other hand by its “beauty”. She exclaims: “I find the exterior very aesthetic, especially with the red, which is my favourite colour”.

The Moulin Rouge is not red by chance. When it was built, this colour was chosen, as Alida tells us, “to catch the eye of Parisians” and make the cabaret more attractive. This was a success, as for over 130 years the Moulin Rouge has continued to attract people from all over the world.

Alida advises us to go to the Moulin Rouge for its “extravagance”. She knows that “every night there are magnificent performances” with feathers, sequins and champagne on the menu… This makes her even more eager to see what goes on inside. She dreams of going there to discover “the fantasy behind the place, with the shows and the French cancan”.

If, like our Inwood Lover, you dream of spending a magical and unforgettable moment, you should go to the Moulin Rouge to admire one of their magnificent shows!

Casual chic? Casual for relaxed and chic for elegance. This modern style has already conquered the hearts of many people. The combination of comfort and class, the casual chic has everything to please.

This style consists of matching elegant pieces, such as a blazer jacket or suit pants, with simple pieces such as jeans or sneakers. Casual chic can be worn every day and for many occasions!
