Hotel Parc Victoria in Saint Jean De Luz is a gateway to Spain in the Basque Country’s historic port city, just a stone’s throw from the fine sandy beaches, in the peace and tranquillity of a park extending over a hectare.

Art deco atmosphere, beautiful furniture, rare objects and antiques sourced from all over France. The hotel is close to the town center and offers 20 rooms and suites in a quiet, refined atmosphere.

Southwest France is a very special place for gourmets and home to two “Black Diamonds”: Val d’Aran caviar and Lalbenque truffles. Not to mention Basque produce such as the Espelette red peppers. One of our aims in creating the Les Lierres restaurant in the heart of the hotel’s park was to showcase first-class products such as these.

Charming rooms and suites in a spacious Victorian mansion. Beautiful suites in the park, with verandas and lush private gardens for some of them, a games room and library: all they need now is for you to come and enjoy them.

There is also our magnificent pool where you can relax before sitting down for a meal prepared by our chef Guillaume Applaincourt, who recreates his own take on regional cuisine in the restaurant every day just for you, or in the sunny meeting room for up to 25 people.

ROOMS & SUITES
Step aside from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day living and take the time to draw breath for a moment in a quiet, peaceful place among friends. Relax in one of our intimate, art deco-style rooms or suites, with marble bathrooms, some including balneotherapy facilities, surrounded by pictures, sculptures, ornaments and beautiful rugs.

The only private house of this style built in Saint-Jean-de-Luz at the end of the 19th century and lovingly renovated and decorated by Roger Larralde and Richard Pérodeau, the current owners, the Parc Victoria hotel reopened in the summer of 1991. It has been a Relais & Châteaux member since 1996.

DELUXE SUITE
An art deco atmosphere, neo-colonial inspired objects and details, souvenirs from a journey to the tropics or the quiet French provinces. Our suites in the hushed tranquillity of the spacious house or around the park, where you can enjoy nature from your veranda, are the perfect place for the holiday of your dreams, halfway between the sea and the mountains, with comfort and service too.

JUNIOR SUITE
Spacious bathrooms with balneotherapy facilities for some of them, large beds, solid furniture, art deco ornaments and objects chosen with the greatest attention to detail… with plenty of space filled with the glowing light of the Basque Country, which we urge you to explore so why not extend your stay: each of our junior suites is unique.

SUPERIOR ROOM
Looking out over the foliage of the beautiful trees in the extensive park and opening onto the flower-filled beds of the garden all year round, each room has its own style, whether it is a twin, double or triple: easy to settle in to, wonderfully comfortable and decorated in art deco style.

RESTAURANT LES LIERRES
Three dining rooms and three different atmospheres but all serving fine cuisine prepared under the Les Lierres banner: the first, with a strong art deco influence, echoing the refined atmosphere of our bedrooms, the second, brightly lit with natural daylight, in the conservatory and the third, a private dining room redecorated in timeless art deco style.

Whether you prefer to sit by the pool, in the art deco dining room or in the conservatory, chef Guillaume Applaincourt invites you to sample dishes inspired by the local flavours of the Basque Country, whether you are dining with us for the first time or as a regular guest: Espelette peppers, crab Luzeoise, Koskéra purée and a delicious Patxaran granita.

Studious, talented and a true perfectionist, Guillaume Applaincourt takes advantage of the times when the hotel is closed to continue to learn alongside award-winning Grands Chefs such as Jean Marie Amat and Richard Coutanceau in France, and Juan Mari Arzak and Martin Berasategui in Spain.

His career path has taken him only to renowned restaurants such as: “Restaurant Drouant” in Paris, working with Louis Grondard (Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1979); “Restaurant Le Chapon Fin” in Bordeaux, alongside Francis Garcia; and “Restaurant Le Saint James” in Bouliac, with Jean Marie Amat.

RESTAURANT LA PISCINE
A candlelit dinner, lunch to the natural accompaniment of birdsong, water splashing in the fountain. The restaurant moves into its summer quarters under the palm trees around the pool (swimming reserved for residents only) whenever the weather is fine and warm.

PAVILLON DES CHATS
The Pavillon des Chats is home to the library (DVD player, TV, Internet access, etc.), billiards, snooker, juke box, bar and terrace: the perfect place to relax or enjoy a drink with friends.

WELLNESS
Awaken your senses through fragrances, textures and materials. Our team of professional beauticians provide treatments and massages on appointment and use products which are renowned for their beneficial effects.

Massages, body scrubs, body wraps, facials treatments can all be found on our ‘wellness’ list of treatments. A blissful experience of unparalleled delight in the heart of the grounds – a tranquil spot in the midst of luxuriant vegetation.

SPA & SPORT ROOM
Let yourself go and enjoy a moment’s relaxation with the heated outdoor pool, the sauna and a whirlpool bath, available for use by guests of the hotel. For those of a more sporting bent, there are 2 exercise bicycles and 2 state-of-the-art elliptical bicycles in our fitness room.

MEETINGS & EVENTS
For up to 35 people in its naturally lit seminar room and offers an unparalleled range of facilities and services in the heart of a one-hectare park in the town centre.

Study day seminar package (coffee break, lunch including drinks, room hire) or residential seminar package in a single room (coffee break, lunch and dinner including drinks, one night’s accommodation in a single room, breakfast, room hire) as well as a range of incentive meeting options including private hire of the whole hotel and free private parking.

RELAXING AT THE HOTEL
The park, covering over a hectare, is planted with ancient trees and is full of flowers throughout the year. Our magnificent pool and the surrounding area are the perfect place to relax in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere – unique in a town center – before enjoying a meal in one of our dining rooms.

Turtle doves, robins, blackbirds and wood pigeons… a special charm awaits you all day long amongst the trees where the squirrels and numerous hedgehogs who take refuge in the park scurry hurriedly away.

THE BASQUE COAST & THE SOUTH WEST
In Saint-Jean-de-Luz, in the magnificent heart of the Basque Country, close to the hotel, the fresh air and all the pleasures of the ocean await you on the fine sandy beaches… Along with numerous indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a fitness trail, thalassotherapy centre and so much more.

Sea fishing, mountain biking or 4×4 trails in the low mountains of the Basque Country, rugby, Basque pelota and surfing are all on the agenda… not forgetting golf, of course, with two highly renowned 18-hole courses just a few kilometres away.

In all, no fewer than 11 of France’s most beautiful golf courses are accessible within a 30 km radius of the Parc Victoria. From the historic Le Phare club in Biarritz to the more recent arrivals in Arcangues and Bassussarry, not to mention the super Seignosse and Moliets courses in the Landes.

Chiberta, Hossegor and Chantaco, built at the end of the 1920s, are still ranked as some of the best courses in France. Further south, La Nivelle, Souraïde and Fontarrabie enjoy unique panoramic views over the Pyrenees.
