SADDLE UP
Avelengo, Italy is the ideal place for your riding holidays in South Tyrol. The small village is known far beyond the national borders for its good-natured horses with the blond mane. The first Haflinger horse was actually bred only 5 minutes away by car – by our neighbours, so to speak.

In the historic stud farm, you will meet the beauties and you can expect courses for beginners, children’s tours, individual or group lessons in the sand track for beginners and advenced students or trekking for several days and also carriage trips.

Professionals will work up a sweat on demanding routes up to about 2000 metres in altitude, but are always rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view. The cycle paths along the green valleys, on the other hand, are ideal for casual bikers and families.

THE KREUZJÖCHL AND THE STOANERNEN MANDLEN
This tour is a balancing act – in the truest sense of the word. High above the Etschtal valley in the Sarntal Alps, the legendary, mystical cult site of the “Stoanerne Mandln” stone towers. Here, disputes about the use of the alpine pastures are said to have been guided by good and evil spirits.

The arrangement of the many stones is somehow reminiscent of a natural chessboard. I wonder who won? With over 1,000 metres of altitude gain and some technically tricky but still doable passages, this tour has made an international name for itself.

THE ALM CULINARY TOUR
This enjoyable tour with just under 700 metres of altitude gain is an ideal leisurely half-day tour – assuming you manage to cycle away from the tempting aroma emanating from numerous alpine huts.

However, if you don’t stop in, you’re missing out. After all, there is no reason to rush on this tour; the climb is constant, without extreme steep sections, and the descent is no technical challenge either.

TYROL CASTLE
The provincial museum for culture and heritage lies within the castle. The museum’s aims are to promote research and representation of Tyrol’s history, to create a permanent collection, to support scientific research into the history of this land as well as to cooperate with institutions of a similar nature.

THE WINTER TIME
Not everyone bombs it down the mountain like a Pro. Some like it sweaty, so ski tours up the mountain can be arranged, some like to do it sitting down – for them we suggest tobogganing and some like it slow, so winter hiking is what we recommend for them. 6 kilometers of cross country ski trails at all levels in Falzeben/Meran 2000.

There is nothing better than discovering an untouched winter landscape with mountaineering skis. The winter hiking area Meran 2000 offers you countless possibilities. Conquer the peaks and when you reach your goal, congratulate yourself.
