Hotel Victoria is a 56-room hotel nestled in the heights of Montreux. It boasts a restaurant which has a 14-point Gault & Millau rating and has several seminar rooms.

The family-run, authentic establishment sits in the middle of a vast garden with a bird’s eye view of Lake Leman. Just a few minutes from the center of Montreux and close to Rochers-de-Naye, the local mountain, one can enjoy the multitude of summer and winter activities.

Erected in 1869, Hotel Victoria has known several owners, seen two wars and many transformations before being bought by Toni Mittermair.

With the acquisition of more than 500 objects and collectibles, Mr. Mittermair’s intention is to create not just a hotel, but a unique place with an atmosphere infused with the art of living of the Belle Epoque. Investing body and soul, working tirelessly, he has ensured the continuity of a dream and the telling of a story.

Montreux Jazz Festival
For 50 years, top artists have performed on the shores of Lake Geneva during the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in July. 16 days of concerts, with as many free venues as ticketed events, and unique musical experiences are the ingredients of this festival that is unique in Switzerland and in the world.

FCreated in 1967 by Claude Nobs, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become over the years an essential event, generating fantastic stories and legendary performances.

Stroll on Lake Geneva

Jenisch Museum
Located in Vevey, on the shores of Lake Geneva, the museum enjoys a public faithful to the heritage of Rousseau and Byron, as well as the support of art lovers, both experienced and novice.

It owes its creation to a gift: as a mark of her gratitude towards a town in which she had spent many happy times with her husband, Fanny Jenisch (1801-1881), the widow of a senator from Hamburg, donates two hundred thousand gold francs to the town of Vevey to fund the construction of an encyclopaedic museum combining art and science.

Les Grangettes Nature Reserve
A paradise for walkers and cyclists but above all migratory birds, Les Grangettes nature reserve is the ideal place for families to observe typical species on the protected shores of Lake Geneva.

Visitors can obtain information from the office of the Fondation des Grangettes in Villeneuve. During your walk from Villeneuve to Le Bouveret, you find thematic signs which informs you about the different species in the nature reserve.

Rochers-de-Naye
The view from the summit of Rochers-de-Naye is simply stunning, overlooking Lake Geneva and the Vaud, Valais, Bern and even French Alps.

From this point, the choice of activities is up to you: sports walks or family outings, visits to the Marmottes Paradis park or the alpine garden “La Rambertia“, but also skiing, during the winter season. From Glion, you can reach the summit in 40 minutes by cogwheel train.

Vevey
Vevey is one of the “Pearls of the Swiss Riviera”. Its lakeside location with breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama, its extraordinarily mild climate, the vineyards, numerous excursion destinations in the region and proud paddlewheel steamers on the lake characterise this town by Lake Geneva.

From the Grande Place to the edge of the Jardin Roussy, the old town of Vevey is a maze of narrow streets where it is pleasant having a stroll.

In this pedestrian aera, fountains and statues, some of which are over a hundred years old, frescoes and colourful signs alternate at every corner, as well as numerous cafés, terraces and boutiques.

Wineyard terraces Lavaux
Take a walk through some of the most beautiful scenery in Switzerland: the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces are criss-crossed with marked trails with stunning views over Lake Geneva and the Alps. Little trains on wheels help you up the incline so you can enjoy a walk at your own pace.

Lavaux owes its splendour to the decline of the Rhone glacier and the Cistercian monks who, in the 12th century, built miles of walls and terraces that are carefully maintained by today’s winegrowers.

These craftspeople produce excellent wines that ripen thanks to three sources of heat: the sun, the reverberation of Lake Geneva and the heat given out by the stone walls at night.

Festival Septembre Musical
In the mildness of late summer, Septembre Musical has since 1946 been the rendezvous of the most renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists of their generation, in the idyllic setting of the Riviera.

Under the impetus of its director Mischa Damev, the festival puts a country in the spotlight each year. After Russia in 2019 and Austria in 2020 (postponed), this 75th edition will celebrate the richness and diversity of Switzerland’s cultural heritage from 18 to 30 September 2021.

Chillon Castle
Visiting the Castle of Chillon is like going back in time! Each hall or room unveils a part of the castle’s history.

The rocky island on which the castle sits constituted both a form of natural protection and a strategic positioning to control passage from the north to the south of Europe.

The castle took on the oval shape of the genuine island upon which it was built. It is approximately 100m long and 50m wide. It also took its name from the rock; the word ‘Chillon’ meant ‘rocky platform’ in an ancient language.

Golf Club Montreux
Inaugurated on 27 September 1900 by the English Club, the Montreux Golf Club has never ceased to develop. Today, it has 440 members and 50 juniors.

Protected by the surrounding mountains and out of reach of the mists of Lake Geneva, the golf course is situated in the heart of a microclimate of rare gentleness. These climatic conditions allow it to remain open all year round.
