CHAMPS ELYSÉES / ARC DE TRIOMPHE
At the top of the Champs Elysées, on the Place de l’Etoile, the Arc de Triomphe is a national symbol, a true link between old and modern-day Paris, at the top of the axis that connects the Louvre to the Grand Arche de la Défense.

THE LOUVRE
Since the end of the 12th century, the buildings of the Louvre have dominated the heart of Paris. First used as the residence of François I and then as the extravagant palace of Louis XIV, the Louvre is now one of the most popular museums in the world.

OPÉRA
Architectural masterpiece known throughout the world, the Palais Grenier was built on the order of Napoleon III as part of the major renovation project in Paris by Baron Haussmann. After 15 years of construction, the Palais Garnier was finally completed and inaugurated on January 5, 1875.

MONTMARTRE
A true village within the city, with its square (Place du Tertre known worldwide for its painters, portraitists and terraces), its church (Sacre-Coeur Basilica, a roman byzantine style building, completed in the early 20th century), its vines (planted in 1930 to fight against the expansion of real estate) and its small shops (the famous grocery stores of the blockbuster film “Amélie”).

VERSAILLES
On UNESCO’s World Heritage List for the past 30 years, the Château de Versailles is one of the finest achievements of 17th century French art.

The site began as Louis XIII’s hunting lodge before his son Louis XIV transformed and expanded it, moving the court and government of France to Versailles in 1682. Up until the French Revolution, each of the three French kings who lived there added improvements to make the château even more beautiful.
