SUITE
Our 2 one bedroom suites are situated on the 5th floor of the townhouse at approximately 440 – 480 sq ft / 41 – 45 sqm. The main feature of these suites is the full wall, floor to ceiling windows framing views of the Town Hall and clock tower whilst flooding in an abundance of natural light.
The suite names are Alfred Waterhouse, the architect of the Manchester Town Hall, and Great Abel, the bell housed in the clock tower named after Abel Heywood, the progressive Mayor of Manchester during the completion of the Town Hall in 1877.
Designed with an emphasis on style and comfort using sumptuous fabrics and flamboyant colour schemes these one bedroom suites are complete with super king size bed and feature free standing bath at the foot of the bed looking out onto the stunning views.
Separate lounge area beautifully furnished with comfy sofas and two flat screen TVs, if you can take your eyes off the view! Stylish en-suite with duel sinks and large walk-in rain shower complete with generous ESPA toiletries.
COMFY
Our 7 COMFY ROOMS vary in size from 290 – 340 sq ft / 27 – 32 sqm approximately. These rooms are eclectic in design pairing muted tones with designer wallpaper and luxurious fabrics.
Super king sized double pocket sprung mattress, Goose down feather pillows and crisp white linen. Working desk area and soft furnishings paired with bespoke furniture.
All Comfy rooms have a stylish en-suite with walk in rain shower and free standing bath. Some Comfy rooms have a walk through en-suite, with sliding door to the bedroom. All rooms are individual.
SNUG
Our 15 SNUG ROOMS vary in size from 215 – 270 sq ft / 20 – 25 sqm approximately. Each room is individually designed and although small our Snug rooms are perfectly formed with comfort in mind, ideal for a short city break.
Decadent fabrics and rich colours together with crisp white linen, Goose down feather pillows and a luxury double pocket sprung mattress to ensure a comfortable night’s stay.
All snug rooms have a stylish en-suite with walk-in rain shower and generous ESPA toiletries. All rooms are individual. Room 56 is our smallest Snug room however is the Snug with the best view of the Town Hall – requests for specific rooms can not be guaranteed.

BRUNCH AT KING STREET TOWNHOUSE
Indulgent, elegant, and anything but rushed…Brunch is the perfect way to start your day on the right note, the unhurried social nature of this breakfast-lunch hybrid, makes getting out of bed worth it.
At The Tavern, we celebrate the best local produce to create those brunch favourites, from smashed avocado on toast, classic eggs benedict or for something sweeter choose indulgent French toast or fluffy light pancakes, you can even add some fizz for extra sparkle.

Tavern Wine Experience
Perfect for wine lovers, complete novices or self-proclaimed connoisseurs, our informal Tavern Wine Experience will introduce you to the tastes of some of Italy’s finest vineyards.
You’ll make your way through a selection of three wines handpicked by our in-house experts, each paired with a small plate to complement its unique tastes and flavours. This distilled wine tasting experience is best shared with friends or as a unique addition to a day in the city with a loved one.
Mezzanine Lounge
Time moves a little more slowly up on the Mezzanine. Overlooking the Tavern, it’s the best seat in the house to sit back and unwind.
Choose an armchair by the fireplace, let your gaze wander over our selection of black book wines and enjoy the buzz drifting up from the restaurant below. It’s an ideal setting for private dining or drinks receptions — we’ll save you a seat.
Rooftop Terrace
On the 6th floor of our townhouse you’ll find the South Terrace and Lounge. This area is primarily used for private hire, and is a welcome escape from the city below where guests can sip and socialise while taking in the views of the Manchester skyline.
With heating and a canopy, this area can be enjoyed whatever the weather. When it’s not booked for exclusively, hotel residents are invited to enjoy drinks from our extensive wine, cocktail and crafted spirit selection, together with our seasonal grazing boards.
Infinity Pool
Our Infinity Pool is totally unique to Manchester. Located on the seventh floor, it combines sweeping views with indulgent relaxation. Step in, and let yourself float: there’s no better way to admire the city skyline.
Residents have complimentary access to this area between 7am and 9pm daily, with reservations made through our reception and concierge team prior to your stay.
Your safety is of utmost importance to us, therefore access to the Infinity Pool and Relaxation Area is available in 45-minute time slots for guests from up to four separate bedrooms (maximum 8 people) to enjoy, ensuring social distancing and with extensive cleaning between use.
If there are any further changes to Government guidelines, these will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
Occasionally we may need to close the Infinity Pool due to maintenance and cleaning, but we will endeavour to do this outside of peak times to avoid this being out of service for a full overnight stay. However, this cannot always be guarenteed and occasionally maintenance may be unplanned.
Please note the steam room, relaxation area and pool are for adults only. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted. The pool also measures 4m x 4m as a spa pool rather than a swimming pool.
Gym
Work out even while you are away, by making use of our perfectly formed gym complete with a choice of cardio and strength training equipment, to keep you feeling energised throughout your stay.
Small & Large Hubs
On the first floor of our hotel, you’ll find the Small & Large Hubs. These atmospheric spaces retain the old charm of the building, while providing everything you need for a truly modern event.
Small Hub
Suitable for gatherings up to 35, our Small Hub features an antique wine display and historic wooden flooring. It’s an iconic (and thoroughly Instagrammable) backdrop for any event.
Large Hub
Step through the period French doors, and enter the Large Hub. Capable of hosting 60 people, this room has an electric energy — alongside its very own bar.
Small & Large Hub – hired together
When interconnected, the Small and Large Hubs can cater up to 95 for informal parties, or up to 80 for dining events. There’s no better location for a party in the city.
