HISTORY
Behind its authentic façade, Le Grand Cœur & Spa has forged its own identity and built up a reputation over the years. It was built in 1952 and has become one of Méribel’s leading hotels. It was one of the very first hotels in the resort.
Le Grand Cœur has been a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association since 1966 and is a traditional hotel where you will experience exceptional hospitality and a warmly welcoming ambiance.

LE PETIT MONTAGNARD FOR LUNCH
Le Petit Montagnard offers a warm and friendly ambiance. Chef Marc Dach serves all manner of original, gourmet dishes. At lunchtime, he serves a wide range of dishes created from regional ingredients.
He draws his inspiration from traditions, creating the favourite dishes of extraordinary characters such as Amédée VIII (1383-1451), Duke of Savoy, who reigned over one of the most illustrious courts in Europe and Maître Chiquart, his head chef.
Enjoy a range of the Chef’s delicious dishes with family and friends and let yourself be tempted by his fabulous dessert trolley. LA GRANDE CARTE FOR DINNER
The evening is just the time to tantalise your taste buds. In the gentle, subdued light of Méribel, dinner becomes a very special occasion at Le Grand Cœur restaurant.
Our Chef’s cuisine is both elegant and daring and he adds a gourmet twist to traditional dishes. This is creative fine dining, its colours and flavours appealing to all the senses – a thrill for lovers of good food.
Our cellars contain more than 400 different wine labels from the whole of France to be served with our fine dishes. They have been carefully selected by our Maître d’Hôtel – just ask our staff for advice on the best wines to accompany your meal.
The set menu changes daily – a bonus for lovers of fine food. It offers two starters, a meat or fish course, cheeses, a dessert of the day or dessert trolley and suggested food and wine pairings. The gourmet set menu is designed to blow you away, with a new selection of ingredients approximately every two weeks.
CHEF MARC DACH
Chef Marc Dach has been in charge of the Le Grand Cœur & Spa kitchens since December 1991. His delightfully original, traditional cuisine is guaranteed to delight the most demanding palate. The Chef works his inspirational magic with ever-changing, always creative, gourmet menus.

New Year’s Eve is a time for celebration at the restaurant. We have organised a tombola for family and friends to enjoy together. Celebrations will carry on right through the night with a band specially invited for the occasion.

When it’s time for afternoon tea or on your return from a day’s skiing, enjoy a cup of tea or a hot chocolate in Le Grand Cœur & Spa’s lounge bar. Not to mention the magnificent desserts trolley – what better way to relax?
Snuggle down in front of the open fire and enjoy a quiet break. There is also the cosy warm bar. There can be no better way to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in peace and quiet than sitting in the warmth of a crackling fire. If you just look up out of its huge picture windows you will see magnificent views of Mont-Vallon.
WARM AND INTIMATE AMBIANCEE
The bar is the heart and soul of the hotel – a pianist plays in the evening. From 7pm to 11pm, while away your time to delightful music in a cosy, elegant ambiance. Hotel guests and outside visitors can sit and enjoy each other’s company and a drink in front of a crackling fire.
Laurent, our head bartender, will be happy to give you advice on his list of cocktails, whiskeys, champagnes and traditional alcoholic drinks. Meanwhile, the kids can congregate in the games room with its television, video games and table football.
SNACK MENU

HARMONY AND WELLNESS
Le Grand Cœur Spa, with its natural wood and stone and its subdued lighting, is designed to provide a relaxing space to let you get away from it all. An area of 230 m² has been set aside purely for wellness – hammam, sauna, 12-person jacuzzi, fitness room and 3 treatment booths for body treatments and facials.

FITNESS AREA AND SAUNA
Our wellness centre has a sauna and a molten glass hammam decorated in gold leaf. TREATMENT LIST
After an energetic day on the slopes, muscle tension has to be relieved. The Spa at Le Grand Cœur & Spa offers a full list of treatments with facials, body scrubs, wraps, themed treatments, massages, beauty treatments.
Our state-registered beauticians receive regular training in the techniques employed by Valmont, our prestigious Swiss partner, and are qualified to provide effective treatments with first-class service. A massage physiotherapist is available every day, from 4pm until closing time.
WINTER SPORTS IN MERIBEL
Le Grand Cœur & Spa in Méribel, with its superb location, is right in the heart of Les Trois Vallées Ski Area. It offers direct access to the slopes so you can put on your skis and set off to hurtle down the 600 km of the resort’s deep powder snow. The hotel also provides a ski room with drying equipment.
Every morning, ski passes are available from 9am at reception, and ski instructors will be on hand at the hotel’s ski room. Younger children can be accompanied to their group ski lessons. If you want to make the most of your stay, let reception take care of booking your lessons and passes directly.
To help you get even more fun out of your stay, Méribel offers a variety of different activities: snowboarding, sleigh rides, snowmobile rides… Whatever your style of skiing or choice of ski speciality (downhill, cross country, freestyle, Handiski…), our powder snow is ideal for numerous activities.
Skating is yet another of our winter sports. There are facilities at the Méribel skating rink in the Olympic sports centre for all the family to skate daily from 2pm to 7pm (5pm to 7pm on Thursdays). Theme nights are also organised.
