The first Relais dedicated to Barolo where everything has been conceived to be lived to the fullest and savored with calm, in the heart of one of the most prestigious Barolo crus. Welcome to Palás Cerequio, the temple of Barolo, a charming relais and the ideal starting place to discover the Langhe, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Located in La Morra, in the heart of one of the most famous crus of the “King of wines”, Palás Cerequio offers the luxury and magnetic charm of a total immersion in the world of Piedmont wine, allowing you to savor every moment with calm and sensibility.

The facility, owned by the historical Michele Chiarlo winery, once an ancient noble palace (Palás in Piedmontese dialect), has been completely renovated and offers its guests the unique experience of staying immersed among the vineyards, surrounded by lush nature, breathtaking landscapes and “artistic” spaces studied in detail.

The walls of Palás recount the most symbolic crus of Barolo through the works of Giancarlo Ferraris, a painter close to Michele Chiarlo, as the creator of his most famous labels. Next to the paintings are cases displaying lumps of earth from where the miracle begins, showing guests the differences and peculiarities of the area’s lands.

Inside the Caveau of Cerequio, aside from the collection of over 6,000 bottles, there can also be found precious documents preserved: the celebrated viticultural and oenological Monograph of the province of Cuneo, a volume written by Lorenzo Fantini in 1879.

Everything at Palás Cerequio is about the story and passion for Barolo, for quality wines and the joy of life, a typical trait of these extraordinary hills.

SUITES OF THE PAST
Located within the manor house, the four suites of the Past let guests drench in a classic, harmonious and refined atmosphere, with furnishings inspired by the elegance and charm of Piedmontese baroque.

Spacious and bright rooms, with day and night areas and private wellness spas overlooking the vineyards or the courtyard. Each suite is dedicated to a historic Barolo cru and a selection of bottles from the respective production areas is kept in a case carved into the wall: Cerequio, Cannubi, Rocche di Castiglione and Villero.

CEREQUIO
A very quiet suite featuring original pieces brought back to life, Cerequio is one of the most charming rooms in the Resort, par excellence. It has a splendid view of the vineyards and a certain charm of the past, ideal for those who love tranquility and classic luxury without forgoing modern comforts. Barolo, Monforte, Serralunga and other villages can be seen from the windows and from the old balcony.

CANNUBI
A suite with a classic character that recalls discreet and courteous hospitality, Cannubi enjoys a splendid view of the hills and a truly unique tranquility… ideal for those who like to rest in the elegant but not pretentious atmospheres that are typical of Piedmont in the past. A stunning glimpse of Barolo, Monforte, Serralunga and other villages can be seen from the windows.

SUITES OF THE FUTURE
Designed with a minimal and natural style, utilizing raw and precious materials (Luserna stone and oak trunks) and featuring breathtaking views of the vineyards, large living / sleeping spaces and a private wellness spa area.

Each suite of the future is dedicated to one of the famous Barolo crus, whose labels are kept in display cases: Vigna Rionda, Bussia, Arborina, Ginestra and Brunate. The decorations of the rooms are enriched with wooden poles recovered from the vineyards.

RIONDA
Rionda is Bussia’s younger sister, endowed with same character but giving off a completely different feeling and vibe. An open space suitable for couples or families who love basic design that hides every modern comfort.

BUSSIA
Bussia is a jewel nestled in the heart of Palás Cerequio: very bright, spacious, trendy, stylish, stunning, suitable for couples with an aesthetic taste but also for families who want extensive and homey spaces for their stay. It almost seems to “touch” the small village of Barolo.

THE TEMPLE OF BAROLO
At Palás Cerequio Barolo is the absolute protagonist: it accompanies guests on a journey towards well-being, inwardness, luxury and art. Every detail at Palás Cerequio is an invitation to savor, taste and discover in an immersive way all the infinite nuances of the “King of wines”, to know its most prestigious crus and the labels made by the hands of the most important and renowned wine producers of the area.

THE CAVEU OF BAROLO
Inside the eighteenth-century cellars of Palás Cerequio, the Caveau of Barolo lays in silence. Here is where the history of Michele Chiarlo winery resides: over half a century of Barolo vintages, from 1958 until present, are meticulously preserved, creating a unique collection of over 6,000 bottles of various sizes.

A thrill that can be experienced upon reservation, a chance to taste extremely rare and perfectly preserved labels of more than fifty years of age. The Caveau of Barolo is a home to wine culture: it houses a copy of the famous Monograph on Viticulture and Oenology of the province of Cuneo, written by Lorenzo Fantini in 1879.

EXCLUSIVE TASTINGS
Palás Cerequio’s vast wine collection offers a unique experience for true wine lovers: horizontal and vertical tastings, led by sommelier Roberto Stroppiana, of old vintages selected among the greatest expressions of the most prestigious crus of the Barolo denomination.

The private tastings, always available upon reservation, offer an impressive selection of over 400 labels from the cellars of Michele Chiarlo and the nine main Barolo Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive (MGA), the very ones that give their names to the suites: Brunate, Bussia, Cannubi, Cerequio, Ginestra, Arborina, Rocche di Castiglione, Vigna Rionda and Villero.

THE POOL
Immersed among the vine rows of Cerequio is the Palás swimming pool, overlooking one of the most enchanting landscapes of the Langhe.

An infinity pool offering a view of the vast Barolo vineyards in a single glance, dotted by towers, castles, historic villages and noble cellars. A spacious relaxation area, recently renovated and widened, surrounds the pool: you can enjoy your apericru here, without taking your eyes off the view.

E-BIKE
Bicycles with pedal assistance are the most sustainable and dynamic way of discovering the Langhe, while combining physical activity and outdoor life. Palás Cerequio has four E-bikes available for guests. All bikes are regularly checked and are always available for hire (with a fee) upon reservation.

VESPA RENTAL
Wind in your hair and absolute freedom. There is nothing like a Vespa ride to bring out the richness of these territories, letting you ride in close contact with nature.

The Vespa can also take you to territories far from La Morra, letting you discover the woods of the Alta Langa or the infinite beliefs of the hills of Monferrato. The Vespa Rental service is always available, upon reservation, for Palás Cerequio guests.

TESLA DESTINATION CHARGER
Palás’ attention to eco-friendly travel is also proved by making a Tesla Charger available, a connection to the electric network reserved for Tesla cars that allows to recharge the electric motor in a few hours.

The Charger is available for the guests of Palás but also to external visitors who, while stop-ping by Palás for lunch or dinner, can freely charge their vehicle before setting off again for the Langhe. Palás Cerequio is part of the official Tesla Destination Charging circuit.
