If you step out the front door, you practically stand with one foot in the Achensee. The doors of the lakeside terrace with garden, on which you can indulge all day, are open to hotel guests as well as day guests. As a hotel guest, the space in the Private Garden is included in the room rate – we ask day guests to reserve in advance and inquire at the reception.

Fighting for the lounger on the promenade every morning? “Certainly not!”, We thought to ourselves at the Seehotel Einwaller in Pertisau and built a bathing jetty directly on the crystal clear Achensee, which is available for hotel guests only – including loungers and umbrellas, certainly without hustle and bustle. Simply private!

While those in search of music and dancing will find plenty of beach bars elsewhere along the lake. The private jetty is a place of retreat where relaxation, peace and quiet are at home. A bar and a small snack are available in the hotel’s own café bistro, if you want to satisfy your afternoon appetite.

ZWOLFERKOPF TO BARENBADALM
Starting from our Seehotel Einwaller in Pertisau, the 17-kilometer, medium-difficulty round tour leads over the Tristenau valley up to the Bärenbadalm.

After you’ve stopped in, strengthened yourself and enjoyed the view of the Achensee from above, you can start your journey home to the Seehotel via forest and gravel roads – and dare to take a challenging single trail with an altitude difference of around 550 meters back to Pertisau.

THE TYROLEAN SEA
The crystal-clear waters of the Achensee attract many vacationers year after year. In addition, many providers of various water sports have now gathered in the area. This makes the Achensee the perfect address for stand-up paddlers, kite surfers, sailors and water sports enthusiasts of all kinds.

The school is just a few steps away from our Seehotel Einwaller, just like the main landing stage for Achensee shipping and the Pertisau boat rental.

WATER FOR ALL
The Achensee holiday region is truly an Eldorado for all disciplines of water sports: In addition to sailors and surfers, divers, rafting fans and white water swimmers will find their liquid amusement parks around the bathing lake, which is up to 133 meters deep.

GOLF HOLIDAY
If you want to plan your holiday on the Achensee mainly as a golf holiday, we have two good news for you: the first one is “Golf- und Landclub Achensee” in Pertisau and the second is the “Posthotel Alpengolf” golf club in Achenkirch.

Both are well-kept places in close proximity to the Seehotel Einwaller, where you can swing your iron at around 1,000 meters above sea level. If you are good at multitasking, you should definitely dedicate yourself to the panoramic view from one of the two places.

GOLF CLUB ACHENSEE
At the foot of the Karwendel mountain railway, golfers can let off steam on a very fine “playground”: the Achensee Golf and Country Club, founded in 1934, is the oldest club in Tyrol. Despite its long history, it is one of the most modern golf courses in Austria and offers a gentle, challenging 18-hole course.

The first tee is practically in the middle of Pertisau. At the same time, the majestic Karwendel Mountains give your golf holiday an alpine flair – not an everyday thing to do.

GOLF CLUB ALPENGOLF
The “Posthotel Alpengolf” golf club in Achenkirch welcomes you to a wonderful high plateau at 940 meters above sea level – the highest point of the course is 980 meters – on the border with the Karwendel nature reserve. After a first round of golf on the 9- or 18-hole course, we recommend a stop at the 300-year-old, listed clubhouse “Dollnhof”.

SKIING
Active winter sports enthusiasts have made a good choice with their skiing holiday in Pertisau: No less than four ski areas with a total of 59 kilometres of pistes and 30 lifts will keep them busy for many days of their holiday – including a fine accompaniment: a magnificent view of Lake Achensee.

With the Karwendel mountain railway, which is only 600 m from the Seehotel Einwaller, you ascend from Pertisau to the Zwölferkopf, where you can enjoy skiing with guaranteed snow in a relaxed atmosphere on twelve kilometers of slopes.

Wide slopes and hardly ever lines at the lifts are strong arguments for this area. Ski rental and a heated ski and boot depot right at the station of the Karwendel cable car offer additional convenience.

SKI HOLIDAY ON THE ACHENSEE
The two other ski areas in the region provide the necessary variety on a skiing holiday in Pertisau. In addition to the Karwendel cable car in Pertisau, the Rofan cable car in Maurach (11 kilometers of slopes) and the Christlum lifts in Achenkirch (27 kilometers of slopes) also offer spacious and sunny slopes.

The ideal altitude combined with the well-developed snow-making systems guarantee you snow at the Achensee. From December to April!

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The network of trails between the Rofan and Karwendel mountains has the right track for every level of ability on an active holiday. It is no surpise that the region has been awarded the seal of quality several times and is one of the most important cross-country skiing centers in Tyrol.

No matter whether you prefer to glide gently over the white landscape along the lake or set out on challenging routes into the Karwendel valleys:

The generous network of more than 200 kilometers of cross-country trails (109.5 km of which are classic) is a true cross-country Eldorado and is known far beyond the borders of Tyrol. Visit the village trail! Classic technique or skating style? You can decide that spontaneously, both are possible here.

In addition to the generous selection of cross-country trails, the Achensee cross-country skiing region scores with a well-developed infrastructure. While a sophisticated guidance system with extensive signage ensures easy orientation on the trail, you are always well informed about the current conditions with the online trail and weather service.

There are six cross-country skiing schools around the Achensee for all beginners, three of them in Pertisau, i.e. in immediate reach of the Seehotel Einwaller.

SNOW CAN DO MORE
If one believes Austropop star Wolfgang Ambros, who was singing skiing is „das Leiwandste, wos ma si nur vorstön ko”. But there are also activities in the snow that don’t require you to buckle up two boards.

The Tyrolean holiday region around Pertisau in particular is not only popular with skiers and cross-country skiers, but also with those who want to have fun on their winter holiday away from the slopes and cross-country trails in the white landscape.

TOBOGGANING & SLEDGING
Five toboggan runs around the Achensee ensure plenty of variety. The one- to three-kilometer-long routes in Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau, Steinberg and Wiesing invite you to social toboggan runs – including a rustic stop.

The ideal choice for a spontaneous toboggan run in the evening can be found in close proximity of the Seehotel Einwaller in Pertisau. On the one and a half kilometer long, illuminated natural toboggan run in Pertisau you have the opportunity to make rapid descents every day until 11 p.m.

After the ascent, which takes place on a separate footpath or by the “Toboggan Express” (every hour – up to 25 people), depending on your mood, we recommend refreshment at the Rodlhütte at 1,120 meters.
