A FAMILY BUSINESS WITH A RICH HISTORY
In 1939, Alois and Rosa Wieser opened the Erica Hotel as a guesthouse with ten rooms. The mother of today’s hotel manager, Alois Brunner, took over the pension from her parents. In the early years, this was mainly a destination for summer tourists.

Winter tourism began to flourish only when the first ski lift was built: by 1960, the Erica Hotel had expanded to comprise 14 modern rooms plus some common rooms.

As Deutschofen gained in importance as a holiday destination and after the rebuilding of the Latemar ski area, more guests began coming to the Erica Hotel and demand spiked.

Luis Brunner, who was then 25 years old and who continues to run the hotel today, tore down the old building and built a modern 3-star facility with 24 exclusive rooms, an indoor pool, and sauna in 1980.

Erica transformed into an elegant hotel, where guests could find peace and relaxation. The most recent hotel renovation was in 2000: the structure was transformed into a 4-star oasis of wellness with 37 luxurious rooms and a spa area that leaves no wish unfulfilled.

The welfare of our guests is our top priority; we also emphasise personal service and a family atmosphere. At our family-run hotel, the wellbeing of guests is our primary concern.

This traditional hotel opened in 1939, and much has happened since then: We have adapted the hotel over the decades, attuning our service to the needs and desires of our guests.

Today, we are a modern company that values personalised service and yet is also focussed on the preservation of local traditions. Come to the Erica Hotel in Deutschofen and experience the hospitality for which South Tyrol is so well known. We look forward to welcoming you in person!

Let one of our experienced fitness trainers provide instruction in aqua fitness in order to gently train your muscles, or simply relax while taking a dip in the cool water. Time in and around the pool will certainly leave you feeling refreshed.

SAUNA & STEAM BATH
These times of rapid change and the pressure of deadlines take its toll on the body and soul, making moments of self-reflection and regeneration necessary.

In the relaxation and peaceful zones of the Wellness & Vitality Hotel Erica you will find meditative tranquility and enough space to create new energy for day-to-day life.

BRINE WATER BATH
Atomised sea salt as well as extracts of essential oils of eucalyptus and mint cleanse and nourish the airways, lungs and bronchial tubes at around 45° Celsius.

Thanks to the special brine and steam technology in combination with the radiant heat of the cabin that we use at Vitality Hotel Erica, a climate exists which corresponds to a stay by the sea! The rose quartz with its caring properties is good for the soul!

KNEIPP BATH
The cold/warm Kneipp bath with temperatures between 10 and 38° C support the hardening and the revitalisation of the body, and is therefore also highly recommended during the period of recovery after an illness.

The changing metabolism and the excretion of waste products are stimulated and the immune system is strengthened. Regular Kneipp baths counteract troubles in the autonomic nervous system as well as common illnesses.

BIO SAUNA BRECHEL BATH
This type of sauna, which is often called a inhalation and sweat parlour, is popular at Vitality Hotel Erica, above all due to its pleasant temperature of around 55° C and the herbal infusion, which changes daily.

The stimulating, healing or calming effects of the aromas released by the increase in temperature improves the well-being and can also, according to the level of effect, have a positive influence on various medical conditions.

A carpet of fir branches from the forests of South Tyrol release a pleasant aroma during the sauna, and in addition, stimulate the reflexes in the soles of your feet.

STEAM BATH
A sweating cure in a steam bath at approx. 47° Celsius opens the pores of the skin thanks to the high humidity, and serves to purify and regenerate the airways.

The result is a refined skin condition and clear airways, which increases the overall sense of well-being. The pleasant temperature of the steam bath puts little strain on the circulation and is also ideal for use by those with no experience of saunas.

FINNISH SAUNA
Probably the most well-known and oldest of all steam rooms. During this traditional Finnish form of perspiration, the high temperatures of around 90° Celsius and the low humidity lead to the quick and intensive warming of the body.

Blood circulation is stimulated and the immune system is strengthened. Accompanying scented water of spruce mountain wood of the Dolomites and various other natural aromas enhance the sauna experience.

TEPIDARIUM
The constant temperature of around 37° C, similar to that of the body, which radiates from the anatomically formed stones, the floor and the walls, is perfect for regeneration after all kinds of physical activity. The immune system is activated by the deep warmth, and the metabolism of the body is stimulated.

This way, the tepidarium contributes to the purification and detoxification, and because of its relatively low temperature, it is also suitable for those who have yet to experience a sauna, and those without less stable circulation.

FITNESS
Fitness is an important component of Erica Wellness and Vitality Hotel. The fitness area is equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym cardio equipment, complete with touch screens and televisions, and offers everything you need for a balanced workout.

Even without training devices, the diversified exercise program is fun—and good for both body and soul. Whether you’re into Aquafit, stretching, 12-meridian stretching, Abs, Legs and Buns, Fitball, or whole-body training, a professional trainer will show you how. Try it out!

TREATMENTS
In the Wellness- and Vitalhotel Erica, our guests can look forward to a well-being oasis. Let yourself be pampered by our trained staff and try our offers: whether for face and body treatments for her and him, beauty treatments or Ayurveda treatments – sit back and experience the relaxing power of our programs.

Here you will find a wide range of massages – relax with the classic massage or try our aromatherapy massage and special energy massage. Lean back and enjoy a blooming bath, regenerate yourself in the sea salt bath or test the South Tyrolean hay bath: you see, with us everyone finds the necessary rest.

BOWEN THERAPY
We believe that the Bowen Technique is one of the most versatile and effective therapeutic treatments available today offering significant relief for many conditions.

After taking a comprehensive case history and discussed your condition in detail, a treatment will consist of a series of gentle moves on skin or through light clothing, with the client usually lying on a bed or treatment couch, although it is possible to be treated seated.

A session usually lasts up to an hour and frequently results in a deep sense of relaxation helping the body to recharge and balance itself.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE STIMULATION
The VITA‐LIFE magnetic resonance stimulation arose from the ancient magnetic field therapy. Contrary to “magnetic field therapy” where mostly static magnets with high magnetic strength have been used, the magnetic resonance stimulation utilizes pulsating electromagnetic fields (PEMF).

VITA‐LIFE uses such magnetic impulses of low energy and low magnetic strength applied based on a special signal form with optimized signal sequences.

Instead of focussing on achieving a specific therapeutic effect, the VITA‐LIFE magnetic resonance stimulation provides the organism with the power it needs to help itself. It stimulates and activates the human self‐healing capacities.

Magnetic resonance stimulation acts on and within the smallest unit of the human body: the cell.

THE CAREZZA TRAIL

Not far from Bozen / Bolzano – to be exact, in the South Tyrolean Dolomites of the Eggen / Ega Valley – great things are coming.

Where the new gondola aerial lift starts in the center of the village of Welschnofen / Nova Levante and takes passengers to the foot of the UNESCO Nature Heritage Site of the Rose Garden, an attractive flow trail is being established for bikers of every stripe.

The trail begins amidst the idyllic scenery under the Frommer Alm and leads through the small, beautiful Niger Valley and to the valley station of the Welschnofen gondola aerial lift. Along a stretch of about 4.4 km, the flow trail repeatedly runs parallel to a brook, winds its way through forests, and crosses meadows.

With its steep turns and high banked curves, small bridges and jumps as well as northshores, the trail will offer biking enthusiasts real excitement. To make the flow trail even more interesting, there will be smaller and larger jumps, drops, and tables.

The trail is scheduled to open in late-June of 2015. With the inauguration of this trail, the already very attractive mountainbike region of Eggen Valley in the Rose Garden and Latemar of the Dolomites gains yet another fascinating attraction.

The popular “Latemar Round” is thus enriched by an additional flowing – a must for passionate tour bikers and endure fans.

E-BIKE HOLIDAY
With the e-bike, you can enjoy the beautiful mountains and unwind! Until now, a cycling holiday in the Rosengarten-Latemar area was reserved for well-trained cyclists and montain bikers. Through the e-bike now less well trained can enjoy these tours.

Look forward to an unforgettable bike ride in the fascinating Dolomites world and enjoy breathtaking views of the unique peaks! No way is too steep or too far because you are traveling with an ELEKTROBIKE. For our e-bikers, we also offer guided tours!

Our e-bike rental right next to the hotel is equipped with the best bikes and recommends the perfect e-bike for your needs.
