SAUNA & RELAXATION
Warmth, cold, tranquility and relaxation. All are things one needs to find back to him- or herself. You’ll find them in the Hotel Bergfried World of Wellness. Since December 2018, additionally to our long existing World of Wellness, you can now enjoy even more ways of unwinding in our new lifestyle sauna area.

Heat up your body in our big event sauna and enjoy different infusions. Families can also find ways to warm up and relax by visiting the textile sauna in our indoor-pool area and our infrared-cabins.

To gain maximum health-benefits from a sauna-session, we, of course, also offer an ice-plunge pool. Diving into icy-cold water is, after all, the strongest contrast to a relaxing session in our sauna.

4 recreation rooms, infrared-cabins and 6 saunas and steam baths will help you to unwind and help to make you feel at peace in mind and body. Our Wellness area surely will contribute to make your stay in Tux unforgettable.

Our World of Wellness is open daily from 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM for our guests above the age of 14. For all our little Wellness-savourers we offer the textile sauna.

BERGFRIED MASSAGES
The right type of massage with an experienced therapist makes the difference and can solve all discomforts! Welcome to the Massage World at Bergfried’s.

HANAKASUMI 
A regenerative treatment, which is inspired by Japanese beauty rituals and Asian flowery scent. It starts with a special peeling with cherry blossoms and rice powder, which is heated up and afterwards removed with a special peeling cloth. For complete regeneration you will get a feet massage and full body massage.

ALPIENNE HERBAL STAMPS MASSAGE
A regenerating, deep-acting massage ritual with powerful alpine herbs. The muscles are warmed by the steam-heated herbal stamp. Then the whole body is balanced with the freshness of the Alpine herbal massage milk. This massage has a relaxing, regenerating and relaxing effect.

FITNESS 
Equipped with the most modern equipment from Technogym, our gym is not only a place to dream and wish, but also a place to MAKE. Of course, they receive support and help with all exercises and equipment from our certified fitness guide.

YOGA
Since our reopening in December, we have been offering Yoga sessions with our experienced Yoga trainer Kathrin Eidler several times a week.

A Yoga lesson consists of body postures (Asana), breathing exercises (Pranayama), meditation and relaxation (Savasana). Fluent physical movement combined with breathing accordingly helps to create a harmonious balance and relaxation of body and mind.

The extensive Yoga program in our hotel varies between classical Hatha Yoga, active Vinyasa Yoga underlined with musical sequences, regenerative Yin Yoga for deceleration and fascial relaxation, and health or therapeutic Yoga which is individually adapted to the needs of participants.

Yoga is suitable for everyone – it improves flexibility, strength, stability and fitness, as well as breathing and increases the energy level. This makes it an ideal complement to other physical activities such as endurance sports, skiing, snowboarding, hiking or climbing. ACTIVITIES & TREKKING
For all our guests who love going for Walks in nature. Three to four times a week we will accompany you to discover our beautiful mountain world. We will show you the highest peaks and the most interesting mountain tours of the Tux and Zillertal Valley. You are in best hands with one of our professional alpine guide.

ALPINE BREAKFAST
Alpine Breakfast on the Bormer PastureNothing tastes better than rich food that has been prepared on a genuine alpine pasture. The Bormer pasture is surrounded by stunning scenery.

It is incredible how good a genuine alpine farmer’s breakfast tastes when you are high up above the valley. Coffee and tea, original bacon from Zillertal and mountain cheese, some fried eggs and pure fresh mountain air… What a delicious way to start the day!

WANGL MOUNTAIN PEAK
Even those who like to sleep in will get up early for this a million dollar view of the sunrise. This is something you must experience once in your lifetime. Nothing can beat this mountain top experience … which is perfectly polished off with an early “up in the clouds” breakfast.

MOUNTAIN BIKE-TOUR
Our trainer will take you for a mountain bike tour to the most beautiful huts and tracks in the Tux and Zillertal valleys.

Even if you are not the classic cyclists or mountain bikers, you now have the ability to cycle easily and without great effort by our unique nature. These new e-bikes look like normal mountain bikes. By the pedal movement of the electric motor is switched only and without great effort by our unique nature.

CLIMBING TOUR
First we go to Mayrhofen by our hotel bus or your own car. Here we will find excellent routes with short vertical and a few overhanging sections. Our guide will show us this natural hiking park on the basis of a family friendly route and an excellent securing. But don’t forget, hiking will give you a rush of adrenaline, especially the highlight: a big, high and particularly unforgetable rope bridge.

ADVENTURE WALK – CANYONING
Walk through the classically romantic Zemmschlucht gores. This is a wonderful experience for nature lovers, children, teenagers and all those who are young at heart. Here you will climb, swim, trek and discover unspoilt nature. Everyone will experience a sense of adventure it natures elements!

RIVERRAFTING ON THE ZILLER
First the helmsman will prep you for your Boating Tour by providing you with some information and instructions. Then you will receive wetsuits, helmets, shoes, and life jackets. With 8 people per boat you will then ride approx. 6 km down the Ziller River. Feel pure exhilaration!

TRADITIONAL TYROLEAN EVENING
Enjoy this unique evening with real folkloric music, traditional tyrolean dances, “Schuhplattler” dance, and folkloric customs in our hotel lobby with the folkloric dance group “Höllnstoana”. This is an authentic and pure cultural awakening.

AN EVENING AT BERGFRIEDALM
An evening at the rustic Bergfriedalm pub – perfectly good fun and enjoyment for everyone. We’ll even have Lanersbach’s very own “Sunnyboys” over to play live music exclusively for your enjoyment!

WESTERN TIME AT THE “MOUNTPEACE” SALOON
This party includes a Mexican & Country buffet, with the presence of Rolling Thunder (Helga) Winnetouch, Old Schmätterhänd, and Doc Holiday. Our girls will greet you warmly to this very special and festive evening. So come and join in on the fun- Mexican and country style!

BICYCLE SAFARI THROUGH THE ZILLERTAL VALLEY
This is a great event for big and small – ride through the Zillertal valley on special bicycle tracks. Then enjoy the easy ride home with the Zillertal railway.

ACTIVITY AND FITNESS PROGRAMME
Our trainer will inform you daily on our varied activity, fitness, and vitality programme. Our new Fitness Studio is fully equipped with brand new professional training equipment: cardio treadmills, ellipticals, indoor cycling bikes, and many more.

SUMMER & AUTUMN SKIING
Easily reachable with your personal vehicle in just 5-6 minutes or with the Tuxer Sports Bus. The Glacier Region of Hintertux is unique in both Summer and Autumn. Summer skiing has become more and more popular in recent years. In just a couple of minutes, modern lifts take you form 1500m to 3250m in altitude.

Ski tracks of 10 to 18 km are easily reached by up to 10 ski lifts available during summer. The longest track ends directly in front of a sunny terrace at the Panorama Restaurant of the Tux Fernerhaus at 2660 meters above sea level.

EXCURSION SITE HINTERTUX GLACIER
Discover the new panorama terrace. It is located at the summit of the Mountain Station Gefrorene Wand (3250 m) at the tip of the Hintertux Glacier. The journey up with glacier bus 3 is in itself already a great experience!

The breathtaking panorama reaches from the Großglockner over the Dolomites up to the Zugspitze! Opening hours from the Glacier lift operate daily from 8:15am – 4:30pm.

SPANNAGEL HOUSE & SPANNAGEL HEIGHTS
Begin your underground adventure approx. 15 Minuten under the Tux Ferner house: The Alpine divide is mainly made of primitive rocks.

A marble layer (crystalline calc) though, can be seen as geological particularity stretching from Hintertux southwards to the Spannagel House. This cave is the largest natural cave in the Central Alps! Open all year round, guided tours daily from 10am to 3pm.

GLACIER TOUR 3250M ABOVE SEA LEVEL
A guided tour of the glacier with an experienced mountain guide takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Hike over thousands of years old glacier ice, pass by mighty turquoise colour. Listen to interesting stories on the formation and structure of our glacier.

Do not forget to wear good shoes and warm clothes! Meeting point: Panorama terrace, at 11am and 1pm, duration: 1 hour. Price: adults € 5,- children € 3,- starts from 3 persons only on good weather conditions.

TUXER SPORTS BUS
Our modern Sports Bus will take you free of charge around the entire Tux Valley. This comfortable addition is conveniently located only half a minute from the hotel. Take the sports bus to the lift, to access to the cross country ski track, ski pists or hiking tracks – and of course, with your Tux ticket, the ride is free of charge.

GOLF IN ZILLERTAL
The Zillertal is a landscape of rough beauty. Lush alpine meadows and emerald forests are in contrast with steep mountains and snowcapped summits. So diversified as our nature, so varied is playing golf in Zillertal. The 18-hole championship golf course is a „Must Be“ for ambitions golfers as well as for beginners.

GOLF SCHOOL
Under the auspices of PGA Headprofessional MMag. Simon Knabl the golf school Zillertal offers golf lessons on a high level since June 2013.

They have recent facilities and customized lessons in all areas of playing golf which are held exclusively by PGA golf professionals. No matter if it is your first time or if you are a skilled player: Every lesson is held by your teacher in a way, that you can have the best effort.

A WINTER PARADISE FOR YOUNG & OLD

• The Learners’ Ski Lift at Hinteranger is only 100 m away from the hotel, this lift is specially suited for children and beginners. The ski school assignment also takes place there.
• Ski Kindergarten: Here children are taken care of by a professional kindergarten teacher daily from 9am to 4:30pm. The ski school Lanersbach is only half a minute away from the hotel. Luggi’s Ski school picks up your children from the hotel and takes them back to the hotel after they have spent the day skiing. Link to our Ski- and Snowboard schools.
• Ski Region Zillertal 3000: The large ski region of Zillertal 3000 can be reached directly from the ski region Eggalm, in Lanersbach. The ski region Eggalm is only about 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. By taking the ski tracks down to the valley you will then return to Lanersbach.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING, BOBSLEIGHING & ICE SKATING
Our 20 km cross country ski track will take you from Vorderlanersbach, through Lanersbach, to Madseit. Bobsleighing can be a real adventure when taking the Höllenstein cabin or the Grieralm tracks. Both these bobsleighing tracks are illuminated with floodlights at night.

There is a also 1000 m² of natural ice skating rinks in Lanersbach – so you will never be bored here! This is also the place to play the local and very popular ice stock sports.

SKIING
At a height of up to 3250 metres, snow and dreamy winter-landscapes are a common sight in the Tux valley with 100% certainty of snow during winter. Enjoy ski and snowboard fun at the glacier year round.

“Higher, faster, further!” You can spread your wings under the endless sky and rejoice with every step. The glacier rises high into the sky just 5 km from our hotel, easy to reach by private car or our Bergfried ski shuttle service within 5-6 minutes. You can also take the public bus free of charge. The bus stop is only at half a minute walking distance from the hotel.

Let the eye escape across the shimmering slopes of the pristine Dolmites and reach up far into the Zugspitze. Never will you feel so lucky to be alive! This place has it all with a world class half pipe, fun park and sunbathing terrace.

Then to finish off, the new 12km long Schwarze Ptanne slope with artificial snow machines will be sure to take you back down to earth – in the most thrilling way! The glacier pists with 72.000m downhill slopes and 15.000 meters difference in elevation, is the absolute Highlight in Tux in Winter.

From the sunny Rastkogel plateau to the breathtaking panorama downhill ski route to Penken, and back by the aerial tramway 150 Tux to the Eggalm Paradise across the snowy valley descents down to Lanersbach. Whoever is still not satisfied may then continue with the Tux Sports Shuttle to Hintertux and enjoy the culmination at the Hintertux glacier.
