An old provencal house
A former Provencal farmhouse built in 1850 on the lands of the estate belonging to Cassagne Castle, the present-day Auberge de Cassagne & Spa became a small hotel-restaurant with six rooms in 1969. The hotel grew quickly and the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 1985.
Over the years, the hotel grew to include 35 rooms, a gym and sauna in 1999. After some major work, the hotel was awarded its fifth star in 2011.
Today the outbuildings of Cassagne Castle (1850) have been converted and completed with new buildings, all wonderfully integrated into the farmhouse, at the heart of which lies a beautiful park.
A large and beautiful house, offering a great welcome, where, day after day, friendships and the art of small everyday gestures are nurtured, the secrets behind the success of major hotels.
Now, 35 rooms and 8 suites occupy the U-shaped buildings which frame three delightful, flower-covered interior courtyards. These ordered places with their stylish terraces and abundant plant life, create a true natural haven.
SUITE MAISON
Very pleasant, quiet, the House Suite upstairs offers a panoramic view of our garden. Discover Avignon then recharge your batteries in the bathroom with a two-seater jacuzzi.
SWIMMING POOL SUITE
Luxurious suite at the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa, the Swimming Pool Suite has been completely renovated in a spirit of contemporary design. In grey, white and black, the spaces play with light and reflections.
It will be a pleasure relaxing and unwinding in this very beautiful approximately 35 m2 5-star suite, before setting out to discover Provence. You will enjoy the beautiful terrace near the hotel’s swimming pool.
JUNIOR SUITE
Spacious and Provencal, discover the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa’s Junior Suite. Throughout your stay in Pontet-Avignon, these 40 m2 “Junior Suites” are cozy and comfortable.
The bedroom opens out on to a family lounge area and a large fully-equipped terrace overlooking the garden. It is possible to obtain two communicating rooms. The very luxurious bathroom with a jacuzzi for two people and separate shower, allows you to completely relax in the heart of Provence.
DELUXE ROOM
The association of period fabrics, old furniture and terracotta floor tiles offers a romantic setting for this Luxury Room at the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa.
Located on the ground floor, or the first floor, this approximately 30 m2 room has a bathroom with separate shower, spa bath and a terrace or balcony opening out on to the garden or the interior courtyard.
SUPERIOR DELUXE ROOM
A combination of period fabrics, antique furniture and floor tiles give a romantic decor to the Superior Luxury Room of the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa. Located on the ground floor, this room has a bathroom with a “Jacuzzi” corner bath for 2 people & a separate shower, but also a terrace opening onto the garden.
THE RESTAURANT & THE WINE CELLAR
With its typical Provencal cuisine, popular with gourmets around the world, the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa’s gourmet restaurant owes its reputation to its Chef, Philippe Boucher.
Gourmets go there and return for his cuisine, which offers a new approach to a Provencal tradition, and for the quality of the products which extract their treasures from the land.
In a cozy setting, the tables are set near the large bay windows in the warmth of the sun. When the weather is fine, meals are enjoyed on the wrought-iron terrace opening out over the garden. In the evening, a romantic dinner can be enjoyed under the lights.
Our exceptional wine cellar means that we can serve you the very best vintages. André Trestour, the wine waiter and restaurant manager, will be happy to advise you and guide you in choosing the best combination between the dishes and the wines.
THE BAR
Start your meal pleasantly by taking a seat at the bar, in front of the fireplaces, in one of the lounges, or on the terrace.
This cozy place offers you a great moment of conviviality and exchanges, to be prolonged during the daytime with afternoon tea, or when rounding off the evening. The bar is open every day from 7.00 am to 11.30 pm.

THE CHEF
Now a Master Chef of France, Philippe Boucher has trained with many great masters, such as Paul Bocuse and Georges Blanc. As someone who loves good food and Provence, it is only natural that he combines these two ingredients to offer innovative gourmet recipes reminiscent of this great regional taste.
In the kitchen of the Auberge de Cassagne & Spa for more than 25 years, he has acquired great experience and offers guests much appreciated quality of service.
