Arosa stone treatment
Treatment and healing with warm stones have been developed independently by each other by indigenous people on all continents of the world. The warmth from the stones donates Primordial energy from the depths of our earth.

This energy gives us new life force and an inner balance at the same time, what makes managing the hectic pace of everyday life noticeably better. In addition to the traditional basalt stones made from volcanic earth we also use stones from Arosa. They give us additional energy coming from our local mountains.

Honey massage
The wonderful characteristics of honey come fully out in our Honey massage. Honey contains phenols, which have an antioxidant effect. This means that free radicals, which have an essential influence on skin aging, are neutralized.

Due to the high sugar content, honey removes water from the bacteria and thus their livelihood. This antibacterial effect is especially great on impure, easily inflamed skin. In order for honey to develop its full effect, it must not be heated above 38°C. We only use swiss organic honey.

Cupping massage
Cupping is an ancient therapy that can be found in almost every old medical regimen. Traditionally there are cupping glasses used. A negative pressure is being produced in the glasses so that the skin is easily sucked into the glass.

This allows underlying tension in fascia and muscles to be locally solved. Our team uses cupping cups made of natural rubber, making the treatment much more pleasant.

Cupping helps with migraines, intervertebral disc problems, Lumbago, tiredness, depression, weakness. Contraindications are: pregnancy up to the 4th month, tumors, sunburn or recent injuries.

Bärenland
Our beloved squirrels have received big and strong company. Since late January 2019 Meimo and Amelia ive in Arosa Bärenland. Since December 2020 Jambolina has joined.

After fateful captivity, Jambolina has found her way back to bearish behavior at Arosa Bärenland. The two former restaurant bears Meimo and Amelia also found their new home at Arosa Bärenland. Online, there are many cute videos as they explore their big, new empire.

The Bärenland is also open in winter. Although the bears are still asleep, the exhibition and visitor platform are open on Thursday afternoon and employees are available for first-hand information.

Cycling in Arosa
The Arosa bike region is rich in variety and there is a bike experience for every riding style: from simple to extreme, from comfortable to sporty, from family-friendly bike tours to 100 km marathon trails. Even other towns can be reached over various mountain passes, for example Davos or Lenzerheide with its bike park.

Hörnli Flow trail
Arosa’s bike program offers a new highlight from summer 2019. The new Hörnli Trail is unique in the Alpine region. The length of almost 6.8 km and the topographical conditions on the Hörnli are predestined for a flow trail that can be used by practically all levels of ability, including families. The Moutainbike piste is closed for hikers and can only be used by bikers.

Skill Center
The Skill Center offers a practice platform with appropriate curves, root, wood and stone elements, which guide all user groups to the necessary bike technology so that they can then enjoy the Hörnli Trail or individual tours in the area. These exercise trails, which are located at the valley station of the Hörnli Express, are also very suitable for children.

Bike Kingdom
Arosa is part of the new “Bike Kingdom”: Embedded between striking mountains, clear alpine streams and lakes, bikers can expect top infrastructure in the fresh mountain air.

With nine cable cars, a bike park, countless kilometers of single trails, developed flow trails, pump tracks and much more, every biker will find his favorite. The services, consisting of several bike schools and guides, as well as several shops and rental stations, make bikers’ hearts beat faster.

Eichhörnliweg (squirrel path)

The well-known, popular «Eichhörnliweg», on which the cute squirrels will greet you and even eat from the palm of your hand, starts directly outside our front door. You will find nuts to feed the squirrels in your room upon arrival. An exciting puzzle leaflet about the Eichhörnliweg (squirrel path) is available at reception.

Insider tip off the slopes
More than just a dinner. Going there for a short time, eating and leaving again is not possible here. The “Heimeli” is more. It is an experience for the whole family and the way there is an essential part.

Since at least 1907, the Heimeli has been an inn in the Grisons mountains, more precisely in Sapün. Sapün is the name giver for a high valley and an old Valser settlement on the ground, which for a long time belonged to the community of Langwies – but today to the large community of Arosa.

From Arosa you can reach Langwies by train or cab, from where you can enjoy a wonderful hike into the remote valley. No matter if summer or winter. No matter whether it is daylight or moonlight and winter conditions; one thing always remains the same: when you enter the wonderful parlor, where you are warmly welcomed, you forget everything else.

You are transported back to another time and enjoy the cosy warmth of the stove. The low ceilings, the warm wood and the perfect coordination of all other materials let you dive into another age. After the ascent, it is time to eat properly.

Amazing what there is to enjoy at the back of the valley. Culinary delights from the region, interpreted both traditionally and modernly, and the best wines from the Bündner Herrschaft reward the ascent to the old Valsersiedlung.

And while the wood crackles in the oven, you can enjoy a little more; of everything. One no longer wants to leave this wonderful place. And you don’t have to, as long as you have reserved your room in advance.

And if not, it’s back to the valley. Quickly with a sledge from Arosa, which you can borrow from the top. Gliding on two runners towards Langwies in the light of the full moon is pure happiness.

Snow sports area
Arosa and Lenzerheide are teaming up. Now 225 kilometres of prepared pistes and even more rustic mountain huts are awaiting you… Since the double aerial tramway started operating between Hörnli in Arosa and Urdenfürggli in Lenzerheide, there is no longer any distinction between the two ski areas.

Your ticket will be valid for both sides of the Urdental. As a guest of the BelArosa you will start your day in the snow directly in front of the building with a short walk to the ski lift and in the evening you can also glide back to the front door.

BelArosa Experiences Winter
Be smart book onlinel – This is the name of the new dynamic online ticket system of Arosa Lenzerheide. Snow sports tickets can now be purchased at the online store.

The earlier you book your ticket for a specific day, the better the deal. This means that this time the focus is not on people who make plans at the last minute, but on early bookers, who plan a day in the snow with friends in plenty of time or would like to buy their ticket for the winter holiday they have already booked.

The rates or discounts vary depending on the day of the week or season, but the quantity is fixed. This means: The more tickets that have already been sold for the relevant day, the lower the discount. Despite this you can see precisely how many tickets are still available at the current best deal.

Leave your footsteps in the snow
Have you been dreaming of gliding down pristine slopes on your skis or snowboard or of cresting white summits with your snowshoes?

The experienced, qualified Arosa ski and mountain guides Michael Illien and Bobi Alpin can offer you accompanied tours on request. As private guides they will both take you safely up the mountain and back down into the valley.

Ski tours in all possible lengths and levels of difficulty, leisurely tours directly from the hotel, unhurried or advanced routes from SAC hut to SAC hut, ski tours with lift use, freerides and even bivouac tours. Naturally snowboarders are also very welcome.
