Hotel rooms – upper floor
The Coconut and Sea Cotton Rooms are located up exterior stone stairs, on the upper floor of the main guest room block, giving impressive views of the plantation and Caribbean Sea beyond.
With a high wooden ceiling, rattan ceiling fans and a romantic mosquito draped King sized four poster bed, these rooms have a gracious Caribbean feel to them. A large air conditioned walk in closet with mini bar gives plenty of space to unpack your belongings and make yourself feel at home.
The large sea pebble tiled double shower opens through to the outside so you can step through to enjoy the views and tropical breezes as you dry off.
Sliding glass and mahogany doors open onto a spacious balcony where you will find comfortable seating and sun loungers so you can relax and enjoy the view in your own private space.
There is an adjoining door, with privacy lock on each side, to connect the Sea Cotton and Coconut balconies should you wish to combine these two rooms.
Hotel rooms – lower floor
The Cinnamon and Nutmeg rooms are on the lower level of the main guest room block but in an elevated position with several stone steps leading to them. They have beautiful views of the Plantation and Caribbean Sea beyond.
These rooms have a fresh, light and spacious feeling with a mosquito draped King sized bed, crisp European linens and large air conditioned walk in closet with mini bar.

The plantation cottage
Set within the Plantation, but with easy access to the bar, dining room and swimming pool, the Plantation Cottage is the ideal location for families or groups of friends.
The master bedroom has a king sized four poster bed and en suite bathroom dressing area. A wrap around balcony, accessible through double louvered doors from the bedroom, gives stunning views of the plantation and lush vegetation beyond and is an ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee in peace and tranquillity.
The ‘Children’s’ room is smaller and can be configured with either a King sized bed or two twins, so is ideal for adults or children alike. A separate bathroom with walk in shower is accessed via the sitting room. Both bedrooms are fully air conditioned.
The open and airy lounge is decorated in a modern and fresh style with inviting and comfortable seating, and several pieces of interesting art.
There is a good selection of books and games and an open plan kitchen should you wish to do any catering yourself, but why would you with our excellent chefs just a few steps away?
The paradise beach villa
Separate from the hotel and located on the beach, Paradise Villa is a luxury, modern, self-catering, four-bedroom villa with its own swimming pool and a small private lawn that borders acres of wild beach land and palm groves, ideal for exploring.
Paradise Villa is ideal for those wanting more independence, privacy, or with families. It is also suitable for larger groups such as a wedding party, birthday group or for yoga retreats.
Paradise Villa is well equipped with modern amenities and furnishings, air conditioning, TV and free WIFI. Daily maid service and linen changes are arranged by the hotel and the hotel manager is available to assist with your needs such as booking activities or provisioning.
Villa guests have full access to the main hotel facilities, hotel pool, cross country golf course, restaurant, bar and laundry services.
Activities
While away the days with a rum punch and a good book, relax in a shady gazebo by the pool, or get active with morning yoga, hike the hills and dive the oceans. Firefly offers you plenty of choice and plenty to do.

Just five minutes’ taxi ride from Port Elizabeth, set within the peace and tranquillity of the Plantation, the restaurant and bar is open and welcoming to hotel guests and non-residents alike and is a favourite with visiting boats, villa guests and local island residents.

The Chefs at Firefly create tasty, fresh ‘Modern Caribbean’ dishes using locally sourced and home grown ingredients gathered daily from the Plantation. Firefly’s famous ‘Sunday Curry Lunch’ is an island tradition not to be missed. Open for breakfast, lunch, cocktails, sunset snacks and dinner.
Golf & croquet
Have some fun on our eco friendly, 6 hole, par 3 cross – country golf course, or enjoy a gentle game of Croquet while sipping a long cool drink. Croquet is complementary to all guests
For golf, there are no traditional greens with cups, instead we have flagpoles. To complete a hole you must hit the flagpole or have the ball come to rest within one club length from the flagpole.
Our island
Bequia (pr. Bek-way). Part of the Grenadine Island chain, 9 miles west of Mustique and Just 7 sq. miles in size. With it’s warm climate and average temperature range of 75 to 85 degrees (24 to 29c) throughout the year, Bequia is the perfect small Caribbean Island we all dream of.
Friendly and welcoming people, simple unhurried lifestyle, beautiful beaches and natural beauty make it one of the few Caribbean Islands to have retained it’s original character and old world charm.
Any time of the year is wonderful here. There is no bad time to visit being far enough south to avoid hurricanes. Some of the best times to visit are during the summer months of June, July and August when all our beautiful flora is in full bloom, the fruit crops are prolific and we are knee deep in mangoes!

Plantation tours
A unique and tasty, one of a kind, experience! Discover acres of orchards producing mangoes, bananas, breadfruit, guava, Bequia plums, and a variety of wonderful and exotic crops.
A leisurely guided walk of approximately 45 minutes takes you through the grounds where you will get a brief history of the plantation and sugar mill, that dates back to 1789.
Sample fruits and vegetables in season, crack a coconut, press your own sugar cane juice and learn about the various crops, herbs and flowers growing here.
Relaxing by the pool

Sea salt tasting bar
The brainchild of founder Jerry Simpson, Grenadine Sea Salt is a luxurious gourmet finishing salt produced right here on the pristine island of Bequia, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The seawater is collected and delivered to holding tanks, where it is then solar evaporated in uniquely designed, patent pending stills. This provides the highest quality sea salt, free of any contaminants and retaining the highest levels of healthy minerals, essential trace elements and rich flavours specific to these waters.

Getting married in the Grenadines is not complicated. You only have to be resident here for 24 hours before a Marriage Ceremony can take place. A special license must be obtained from the Ministry of justice.
