FAMILY SUITE
The spacious chalet-style suite offers two bedrooms, one of which is additionally equipped with a cosy seating niche with sofa bed. The Family Suite with balcony is located on the 4th floor and is 60 m² in size. This is ideal for a family with a maximum of 3 children. There are two bathrooms with a total of two bathtubs, a shower and a modern shower toilet each.
MATTERHORN SUITE
The Matterhorn Suite is 45 m² in size and is suitable for couples who appreciate generous space during their holidays. A small family with a maximum of two children will also feel comfortable in this suite, the bedroom can be separated from the living room with a sliding door.
The spacious suite on the 4th floor is in a cosy chalet style and has a sitting area with sofa bed, a balcony and offers a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. You have two bathrooms at your disposal, one with a bathtub, the other with a shower and both with a modern shower toilet.
PANORAMA SUITE
The Panorama Suite is located on the 4th floor, measures 50 m² and is ideal for couples. The spacious chalet-style suite has a cosy seating area with sofa bed and a real wood-burning fireplace.
From various corners of the room you can discover the view of the Matterhorn and look through the panoramic window over the balcony to the village centre. Simply perfect for romantic hours for two. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower and modern shower toilet.
SUPERIOR COMFORT ROOM
The spacious Superior Comfort rooms are 38 m² and guarantee restful nights for up to three adults. They are popular with couples who want a little more space than in a standard room or for small families with two children up to 9 years (sofa bed 1.40 m).
There is a partition between the bedroom and the living area with sofa bed and TV. The bathroom is equipped with a floor-level shower and the separate toilet with a modern shower toilet.
JULEN RESTAURANT
As soon as you enter, the delicious aroma from traditional Valaisan cuisine rises to your nose. The Restaurant Julen is located in the Hotel Julen, in the village centre of Zermatt. The noble, rustic Alpine style, the aperitif bar and the crackling fireplace invite you to sit down and enjoy immediately. Arrived!
At the Restaurant Julen, chef Joe Lackner creates new menus with love and passion together with his team every day. A look at the menu shows the large selection of delicacies: From the salad buffet, beef fillet and lamb specialities to cheese fondue, the a la carte selection offers everything.
No wonder that lunch at the Restaurant Julen has long been a popular choice for regular guests – and is now only for tourists an insider tip. Especially nice: Lunch on the terrace of the Hotel Julen!
It is also recommended to reserve a table in advance in the evening, especially in the high season – or to bring some time for a prior aperitif at the bar. Our grilled specialities and fondues from the Schäferstube are also served in the evening in the Restaurant Julen.

Typical Tradition Julen: In this cosy speciality Restaurant in the centre of the village of Zermatt, you can taste the history and the attachment to the homeland in every dish.
Raclette, cheese and meat fondue, Zermatt lamb specialities from the wood-fired grill promise authentic Valaisian enjoyment of the highest quality. The decision is hard to make when you look at the menu? Tip: In Valais, raclette is also a popular starter!
The ambience in the Restaurant Schäferstube is incomparable: pure cottage charm – unsurpassed in authenticity and tradition in Zermatt. Here you will experience the genuine, original Matterhorn village and, in addition to really good food, the hospitality of the Tradition Julen Team.
After dinner, enjoy a drink in the cosy bar of the Hotel Julen, just one floor above the Restaurant Schäferstube. Fancy a beer in the Pub? Directly opposite is the Papperla Pub, which is also part of the Tradition Julen and guarantees party atmosphere.

BIKING & HIKING
Between 1’400 and 3’100 m, the mountains around Zermatt offer a wide range of trails. Be it with a lot of flow or steep and technical, natural or shaped. The choice of all-day bike tours or short afternoon rounds offers everything your heart desires.
Zermatt’s mountain world is as fascinating as it is diverse. The approximately 400 kilometres of marked hiking and mountain trails around Zermatt, Täsch and Randa offer different levels of difficulty, gradients and route lengths for every level. There are challenging routes for experienced hikers as well as easy tours for beginners and families to choose from.
5 LAKES HIKE
The path leads past the lakes of the Stellisee, Grindjisee, Grünsee, Moosjisee and Leisee. Each of these mountain lakes is very different in terms of shape, colour, character and size, and has its own special attraction. The Leisee is good for swimming: children love it.
The Grünsee looks out over a rather more rugged landscape, where Swiss stone pines nevertheless manage to grow among the scree and sand. The shores of the Grindjisee are home to rare flowers. And so on – each one promises a unique experience.
