Le Morgane offers you the opportunity to borrow ski helmets and masks (POC brand) as well as back protection. You can even catch your children’s sporting achievements (or your own) on tape as we can lend you a GoPro camera.
We also know that after a long day full of activities, you can and will get hungry. Upon returning to the hotel, you can take a well-deserved family teatime break in the Petit Salon, featuring Scandinavian pastries, cookies, hot chocolate, etc. You can even enjoy a lovely live music evening before dinner at Le Comptoir Nordique.
ACTIVITIES AND FUN FOR ALL
Chamonix and its mountains are the perfect place to experience with your family! With them you can take the cable-car up to the Aiguille du Midi or take the little red train of Montenvers to reach the Mer de Glace and contemplate the beautiful glaciers.
Initiate your kids to geology, or to the basics of mountaineering at the Espace Tairraz. And if they love animals and nature, you can also take them on a magical dog-sled ride or snowshoeing hike with guides who will share with you their love of the region!

FOR BEGINNERS
Several ski areas are ideal to learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding: Les Planards and Le Savoy near Chamonix center, or La Vormaine and Les Chosalets when going towards Argentière.
FOR THE MORE EXPERIENCED
Starting from Chamonix or Les Praz, the Brévent-Flégère area, on the sunny side, is the best for you at the beginning of the ski season. Starting from Argentière, Les Grands Montets on the north side retains very high-quality snow for a very long time. It’s the last area to close at the end of the season.
At the far end of the valley near the Swiss border, Le Tour-Vallorcine features some nice slopes through the forest, ideal for families. At Les Houches, the town neighboring Chamonix, you can enjoy beautiful slopes sheltered by charming pine forests.
FOR EXPERT SKIERS
The renowned “Top des Grands Montets”, with its plow-free snow and safe area, is a must. And then there’s the world famous Vallée Blanche, a once in a lifetime experience on a glacier, that starts at the Aiguille du Midi. DESCENDING VALLÉE BLANCHE ON SKIS
Accessible from the cable cars of the Aiguille du Midi, you’ll descend the whole way on skis, all the way to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (1050 metres). Strong skiers can make their descent on this renowned alpine glacial track on Mont Blanc.
SNOWJORING
In a tradition hailing from the Great North, the skier is harnessed behind a horse or pony (for kids), and connected to the animal with a strong cord (harness) so it’s easy to stear. This activity can be enjoyed in packed snow, on dedicated tracks, or circuits. This is 100% natural and takes you off the beaten path.
